New Album “Extraction” Streaming In Full From Insurrection

Assembled in 2003 to infiltrate, build and destroy, Gatineau, QC’s INSURRECTION is an aural onslaught assaulting witnesses in both languages of French and English. Known for blending calculated technicality with a signature mixture of merciless death metal, the band has emerged to be one of the most prominent Eastern Canadian metal bands.
Annihilating the masses with their three previous full lengths “Prototype” (2013), “Fracture” (2010) and “Prologue” (2009), Ottawa’s Insurrection is ready to once again push the metal to blasphemous levels with the next release “Extraction.” A ten track aberration, ready to shock and blast fans to the next life, the album was produced by Pierre Rémillard at Wild Studio (Cryptopsy, Obliveon, Anonymus, Voivod, Krisiun, Ghoulunatics, Despised Icon, Beneath the Massacre, Gorguts, Martyr).

Slated for release on October 6, 2017 via Galy Records, Insurrection has teamed up with New Noise Mag for the full stream premiere over at this location, or more conveniently in the player below.

Katagory V Releases Final Album “Resurrect The Insurgence”

“Resurrect The Insurgence” is Katagory V’s 5th and final album, produced by bassist & chief songwriter Dustin Mitchell, and mixed & mastered by Dennis Ward (Unisonic, Pink Cream 69, Primal Fear, Angra).

Katagory V officially announced its official break up shortly after.

Many long-time fans contacted the band after that break up, wanting the opportunity to experience and own the final album. After some serious consideration, Dustin, Albert, Marc, Bizzaro and Kris agreed to release it in digital format-only through Bandcamp. Stream the full album below, or pick up your own copy over here.
