Wows Premiere New Music Video “Chakpori”

Italian doom/post-metal band WOWS have revealed their video for “Chakpori”. The song is taken from their album Aion which was released via Argonauta Records.

Watch the video here:

The band commented:

“The first time we saw this video, we couldn’t believe what we were looking at, we just knew that is the best video we have so far. “The music totally fuses with the images and the storyline is just thrilling throughout all the length of the song. The locations are familiar because that’s where we all live, it’s the Garda Lake, but the story takes the whole thing magically back in the past. Maybe it all happened for real!”

Destrage posts in-depth making-of-video of ‘A Means to No End’

– April 26th, 2017 –

Set to kick off European tour with Periphery, The Contortionist next week

You can try to put Destrage in a box but you will never succeed. Words such as “progressive”, “cinematic”, “mathcore”, “technical” and “groove-laden”, could be thrown at them, but really the only one you need is Destrage, for they are in a category of their own making. This has never been more true than on A Means To No End, the fourth full-length from the Milan, Italy-based 5-piece, which was released last October via Metal Blade Records. Riveting from start to finish, it leads the listener through an emotionally-charged labyrinth of complex yet catchy melody and muscle, following nobody’s rules, and it stands out as one of the truly unique releases of 2016.

For a preview of A Means To No End, Destrage has now posted an in-depth making-of-video for the album, which can be viewed at: youtube.com/watch?v=DPoFYvKLRes

Destrage‘s Matteo Di Giola (guitar) comments: “The best thing about entering the studio is that the rest of the world stays out. The band members and the studio crew captured the images themselves, behind closed doors, to focus on what was the most immersive and challenging record-making of their career. Now, a year from then, the external eye of a talented director sums it up and makes it a tale. Big thanks go to Bode Music Gear for making this possible.”

To support this outstanding album, Destrage will join Periphery and The Contortionist next week on the “European Unrest Tour”. See below for all dates!

River Black Posts New Song “Low”

River Black is now streaming the first brutal track taken from the band’s self-titled debut album, scheduled for release on July 7th, 2017. Check out advance song “Low” in the YouTube player. Vocalist Mike Olender comments on behalf of River Black:

“Our first track out, ‘Low’ is an expression of horror at how religion can become twisted and manipulated by charlatans and demagogues. It was inspired by a news report I heard about a journalist who spent some time with the now-deceased Isis leader ‘Johnny Jihad.’

“It revealed how this man used brutality with the purpose of inspiring others with similarly twisted minds. He used videos of his actions as recruiting tools. I was struck by the thought that there are people out there, who not only wouldn’t be repelled by these horrific videos, but actually excited and inspired by the images of this man gleefully sawing off the heads of the orange-clad victims kneeling before him. Faiths have always had these characters throughout history, but it is surreal to realize we are living in such dark historic times.”

Theatres Des Vampires Releases “Morgana Effect” Video

Theatres Des Vampires will release new album “Candyland” on October 14th via Scarlet Records and today also unleashes a first video titled “Morgana Effect.” The band comments:

“It is a great day for us, after 3 years of a long work We finally released the first song of our new album ‘Candyland’ out on October 14th via Scarlet records. We decided not to publish anything before cause we wanted to give to our fans a direct message, a new strong sound together with the images of the new video ‘Morgana Effect.’

“The video is directed by Luca Cavallari (that is also our great photographer) that become mad during the shooting to coordinate all of us (we are not so quiet!) and edited by our producer Christian Ice (which is crazy by himself so no problem). We had also some special actors like Sara and Federico, the 2 scary children, the sweet and evil witch Nicole Zuppardi and Billy T Cooper, singer of the band JTR SICKERT as the black angel.

“2 different locations, a great make up team directed by Gianluca Terracina and our personal best fashion designer Diktator. All of them helped us to realize ‘Morgana Effect’ in the best way! We Are thinking already about the next one…so more news will come soon!”

Dopesick Posts “Hayes N Webster” Video

Oakland, CA’s Dopesick – featuring former members of Skinlab and Ministry – made a grand re-entrance last month with the release of summer-jam reggae/hard rock hybrid track “Ride The Night.”

The band is today wasting no time introducing the next track off upcoming full-length album, “The Love and Terror Cult,” set to hit retailers this winter 2016. Dopesick’s new track “Hayes N Webster” showcases a totally different side of the band.

The track, which is mixed and mastered by Alex Crescioni, is completely instrumental featuring a hypnotizing riff and searing leads. The video is also an overall contrast to “Ride The Night” – inspired by slasher films, serial killers and all things horror – with a freaky fetish twist. This video is not for the faint of heart.

Dopesick founder/guitarist Adam Albright offers some details about the conception and filming process of the video: “For this track, I thought it would be cool to make a video very different from ‘Ride the Night.’ I’m really into horror and serial killer stuff, and it shows in this video. It was trippy to be covered in blood rolling around with that girl, kind of like an all-night lap dance to be honest, and it was worth it in the end. I think the imagery will hold people’s attention. Oh, and we used a real pig head which was pretty fucking gross! A guy walked out of the room next to ours while she had the leash around the pigman… he looked a little shocked… but it is Hollywood.”

Director Matt Zane (Wayne Static, John 5, Orgy) continues on the filming of the video, which was as intense of a process for the crew as it will be for the viewer: “At a certain point in the evening, I didn’t know if we were shooting a music video or snuff porn. I suppose that’s a good indication of powerful visual art. When the images are so intense the intention and outcome becomes blurred. One must have the courage to continue. Everyone needed to be brave when getting so close to the edge while creating this.”
