Havok Releases New Music Video For “Point Of No Return”

Havok’s latest video has premiered today via Bloody Disgusting. “Point Of No Return” is the title track to the band’s EP, released last Spring as a tide-me-over while the band continued non-stop touring.

The video was directed by Roy Warner and filmed on location in Detroit, Michigan and can be viewed right here or in the player below.

Discussing the video, vocalist/guitarist Dave Sanchez elaborates, “The lyrics of ‘Point Of No Return’ are highly interpretable, but the message of the video pretty simple: The world as we know it is a delicate place and we have never had such a high capacity to destroy the human race as we do now. At some point, our self-made concoction of nuclear/biological weaponry, ancient superstitious beliefs, nationalism, corruption, ignorance, and conflicting ideologies is going to become lethal, on a global scale. We live in a time like no other and it’s obvious that if we don’t change our behavior, it’s only a matter of time before the world is extinguished at the hand of fanatics. It’s literally within everyone’s power to leave the world a little nicer than we found it. Don’t believe everything you’re told: Think for yourself.”

Director Roy Warner notes, “Working with the guys from Havok was great. They had awesome ideas to start out with and build from; wanting to showcase real life as the concept. It really illustrates the depths of human depravity in the past, present and what we can expect from the future if attitudes don’t change.”

Polish black/death metal act Mind Affliction will be releasing new album “Pathetic Humanity” later this month through Metal Scrap Records. A track from the album, titled “Human Centipede,” can be heard in the player below.

The album was recorded during the summer of 2012 at 67 Studio in Giebultów and the material was mixed, mastered, and recorded by Dominik Burzym. Mind Affliction comments:

“‘Pathetic Humanity’ tells the story of human depravity and perversion. The record features mixed styles ranging from black metal to technical death, often filled with harmonics and even some doom metal elements. Two vocals together with two unique guitars tuned all the way down to C, all accompanied by brutal blast beats on drums, create an eerie, sometimes psychedelic, yet soothing atmosphere.”

Dynfari Signs With Code 666 To Release New Album "Sem Skuggin"

Dynfari has signed a deal to release the band’s new album “Sem Skuggin” through Code666 Productions. Code666 commented:

“Founded in 2010 in Iceland, Dynfari can be described as Atmospheric/Post-Black Metal. ‘Sem Skugginn’ is a highly dynamic and diverse concept album touching on the subject of humanity’s decline and human depravity in relation to the striking contrasts between how humanity is but a brief moment in history compared to the eternity that is the age of the universe.

“The diversity is personified with ambient sounds followed by blast beats, fast tempos by slow tempos, loudness by quiet and melancholy by hope…”
