Destroyer Of Light Premieres Pre-Release Full-Album Stream Of Upcoming New Album “Chamber of Horrors”

Austin doom quartet Destroyer Of Light premieres the pre-release full-album stream of the band’s upcoming new album “Chamber of Horrors”, which will arrive in stores this Friday, July 14 via Heavy Friends Records.

Check out now “Chamber of Horrors” in its entirety below.

Explains guitarist/vocalist Steve Colca:

“We took a different approach to Chamber of Horrors the likes of which we hadn’t done before. After we wrote the songs, we did pre-production with our engineer, Matt Meli, and sat on it to make sure we were happy with the results before we actually recorded it. After that, we did a six day Texas Tour where we played the whole album front to back because we found that when we play the songs live, they take a different shape and add a different lick, drum fill, or riff. So, after that, we recorded the album live at Orb Recording Studios with Matt Meli in Austin, TX. Over-dubbed the guitars, did the vocals, added more bells and whistles…and there you have it. Chamber of Horrors.”

“Finally the methylene butterfly has flown. This is an album born out of pain, drug abuse, self-harm and torture on both sides of a destructive relationship. This album is for people on both sides of the emotional fence that have suffered with drug use, destructive relationships and depression more crippling than anything one can imagine.”
