Berserker IV Festival Lineup Finalized

On April 14-15th 2017, The Crofoot in Pontiac, Michigan will play host to the annual Berserker music fest. Now in its fourth year, the all-ages, two-day event is a wholly DIY affair founded and organized by Child Bite frontman Shawn Knight and his wife Veronica.

Berserker IV is capped offf with the addition of hardcore heavyweights Ringworm. This year’s lineup boasts thirty bands on three stages with appearances by internationally touring acts like GWAR, OFF!, Weedeater, The Obsessed, Negative Approach, Brain Tentacles, Child Bite, and more as well as new and established underground artists including Immortal Bird, Cemetery Piss, Fuck You Pay Me, SNAFU, Artillery Breath, and others.

The festival also marks the official return of Eyehategod vocalist Mike IX William,s who will front the band for the first time since undergoing a liver transplant this past December.

For those who haven’t recently replaced their livers, Berserker IV will debut the festival exclusive Blood Troll Mead, made with Michigan Wildflower Honey, fresh Elderberries, and fresh Gooseberries. It is made with fruits grown and used in Nordic tradition. We cannot promise no Trolls were harmed in the making of this mead. The full festival lineup will be as follows:

Hollow Earth Releases “Of Steel And Stone” Video

Hollow Earth just revealed new video “Of Steel and Stone,” taken from upcoming album “Dead Planet” and featuring guest vocals by John Pettibone (Heiress, ex-Himsa / Undertow).

The video’s epic nature shots complement the song’s slow, stately momentum. Check it out below. “Dead Planet,” the follow-up and conceptual sci-fi sequel to the “Parting Remains” EP, comes out December 2nd on Good Fight Music.

Also making guest appearances are Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder and Tad Doyle of Tad. The album was produced by Misery Signals’ Greg Thomas and mastered by Bill Henderson at Azimuth Mastering.

Hounds Streaming Full “II” EP

Hounds is a three-piece blackened hardcore band that just released the “II” EP today. You can order the release via Panic State Records here and also stream all the tracks below.

Having formed in 2013, Hounds did not actually begin playing out until the middle of 2014 and did not release any material until the beginning of 2015, which was immediately picked up by Blasphemour Records (USA) and Resting Hell (Indonesia) for cassette releases.

Since then the band has truly set out to make a name for itself covering the northeast and playing alongside the likes of The Banner, Old Wounds, Exalt, Of Feather and Bone, Hollow Earth, and many more.

Hollow Earth Announces “Parting Remains” EP

Hollow Earth, recently signed to Good Fight Music, will release a new EP on January 29th titled “Parting Remains.”

Featuring three songs of the band’s apocalyptic, metal-clad hardcore, “Parting Remains” was recorded by Tad Doyle, leader of O.G. Seattle grungers Tad, and mixed and mastered by Greg Thomas of Misery Signals. Stream new song “No Equilibrium” in the player below.

Also in store for January 29th is Good Fight’s vinyl release of Hollow Earth’s 2014 full-length, “Silent Graves.” Pre-orders for color vinyl versions of both the “Parting Remains” EP and the “Silent Graves” LP reissue will be available soon from Good Fight Music.

Hollow Earth consists of frontman Steve Muczynski and guitarist Mike Moynihan, both ex-members of Shai Hulud. The band will be touring throughout 2016, starting with a spring run with Church Tongue:
