Former Murderdolls Drummer Ben Graves Passes Away

Pretty Boy Floyd, has passed away at the age of 46 following a year long struggle with cancer. His fiancée Lydia has posted the following message online.

“This is incredibly hard for me to write this, but I know it is necessary because Ben has so many friends and fans. Most of you don’t know that Ben has been battling cancer for the last 11 months. It was his decision to keep his health very quiet.

“Ben passed away today, May 9th 2018, from complications due to his cancer. His diagnosis was grim, but he fought a long and hard battle to try and beat it and overcome the odds. Some battles can’t be won no matter how hard you try.

“Please respect me, his family and close friends while we grieve. Even though we knew it was eventually coming, the complication was sudden and very unexpected. It’s devastating to lose someone you love more than yourself. My heart is broken, my heart died with him.

“We will be taking him home to Massachusetts. I will organize a memorial for Ben’s L.A. friends, details to follow.”

Murderdolls frontman Wednesday 13 has posted the following message:

“It is with deep sadness to report to all the fans, that Murderdolls drummer Ben ‘The Ghoul’ Graves has passed away. I will forever cherish the memories with you. Touring all over the world for the first time, living our dream and constantly quoting The Terminator and Commando movies. Love ya buddy, there will never be another Ghoul. See ya on the other side.”

Kelly Keagy To Take Break From Night Ranger Following Heart Procedure

Kelly Keagy, the drummer, co-lead vocalist and co-founder of multi-platinum and long-running band Night Ranger, is taking a temporary leave of absence from the band during April and May as he recovers from a successful heart procedure.

Veteran drummers Deen Castronovo (formerly of Journey/Bad English) and Fred Coury (Cinderella) will sit in for Keagy for the next 6 weeks during the band’s 35th anniversary world tour, which coincides with the release of 11th studio album, “Don’t Let Up.”

Keagy issued the following statement: “I’ve dealt with a heart abnormality my entire life. At the recommendation of my doctors, I decided to undergo a procedure that will allow me to come back even stronger. I’ve asked the guys in the band to go ahead with the tour, and I’m looking forward to rejoining them on the road as soon as I can. I’m grateful for the support and prayers of my family, my bandmates, and our fans, which have meant everything to me as I’ve gone through this process.”

Keagy is now at home continuing his recovery, which is expected to take six weeks. Night Ranger’s Jack Blades (lead vocals, bass), Brad Gillis (lead & rhythm guitars), Keri Kelli (lead & rhythm guitars), and Eric Levy (keyboards) issued the following statement:

“We support and applaud Kelly’s decision to put his health first and undergo this treatment now so he can be back at full strength as quickly as possible. While it will be strange being out on the road without our brother Kelly for the first time in the band’s history, we take comfort in knowing it’s a temporary situation, and he’ll be back soon even stronger to continue the 35th anniversary world tour.

“We’re grateful to our buddies Deen and Fred, for agreeing to step in as guest drummers for Night Ranger during Kelly’s short hiatus (Deen will perform at the May shows and Fred will perform at the April shows). They’ve both been good friends of the band for years, and it’ll be great to be rockin’ America with them while Kelly recuperates.

“We know our fans join us in sending their thoughts and prayers to Kelly and his family as he recovers from his procedure, and we look forward to reuniting with him on the road very soon as we celebrate the release of ‘Don’t Let Up’ and the 35th anniversary world Tour rolls on.”

Breast Obsessed Bill Barnes Goes Into Loony Bin

Bill “Cuckoo Brains” of Death Metal Bird Song has once again been locked up in the “chicken coop.” This time he went back to his favorite place (best one he’s found, he hates the loony bin) Rock Quarry Behavioral Health for an obsession with breasts.

It all started with not having enough sex and watching a classic, “titillating” scene from the movie “Bound.” In said film, Gina Gershon makes love to Jennifer Tilly. After days of singing Bill’s hit song “Tits,” and watching this clip, Bill has fixated on the word “boobs” and his mind can no longer function.

“Breasts obsession is a blight in the country worse than AIDs,” says breast expert Phil Urupabit.

Watch Bill “Cuckoo Brains” Barnes’ ode to boobs and birds, “Tits” below and say a prayer for his damaged mind.

Former Y&T Drummer Leonard Haze Passes Away

Former Y&T drummer Leonard Haze has passed away at the age of 61 after suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The drummer co-wrote such songs as “Hurricane” and “Black Tiger” and was scheduled to support Y&T at two Californian shows with his band Hazexperience. Y&T vocalist Dave Meniketti broke the news with an online post that read:

“It is with shock and sadness that I type this. Leonard Haze, the legendary drummer, and a guy I spent decades with creating great music together, has passed away at 61.

“This, just a few days after his birthday. I just woke up to this news, as I’m in Germany, and immediately called his wife, Kelly. She confirmed that Leonard had passed away in his sleep sometime between noon and 7.30pm on Sunday, September 11.

“Leonard has been struggling with COPD for years, but Kelly said that although his health had recently declined, they felt he had a few years left, so this is unexpected.

“My deepest condolences to Leonard’s family and friends. His impact on the rock scene was well documented. Rest in peace, my friend.”

Hazexperience singer Jeff Winslow added: “Leonard was a good friend, a great drummer, and a true ambassador for the world of rock’n’roll. I’m shocked that he’s gone, but thankful I got to know him while he was here.”

New Music Video “My Therapy” Available From Kamelot

Kamelot released a new music video for the track “My Therapy,” the latest clip from the band’s 2015 album “Haven” (see review here).

“My Therapy” serves to put a spotlight on social anxiety that effects up to 20% of adults worldwide. Kamelot vocalist Tommy Karevik adds: “The original idea of the song was based on experiments done years ago on children where they would be clinically taken care of, but never held, loved or nurtured. The outcome was disastrous and proves that in this sometimes complicated world spinning faster and faster, the very foundation of our health and well being really rests upon something very simple and uncomplicated… The human touch….”
