Pallbearer Posts Pink Floyd Cover, “Run Like Hell” Online

After a triumphant live set at Saint Vitus Bar that was streamed across Kerrang! Magazine’s social media, ascending Arkansas progressive doom quartet Pallbearer have released a sublime cover of the Pink Floyd classic, “Run Like Hell.” The track is part of a compilation in tribute to the iconic album, “The Wall.” Compiled by Magnetic Eye, the collection is called “THE WALL [REDUX]” and joining Pallbearer are Melvins, Mark Lanegan, Ruby the Hatchet and Mars Red Sky to name a few. Fake Figures (Atreyu, Ex-Hotwire, Etc.) Premiere New Single “Bury The Hatchet”

Fake Figures (Atreyu, Scars Of Tomorrow, ex-Hotwire, etc.) debut another track from heir upcoming as-yet untitled EP that is due out this fall. This latest song is titled “Bury The Hatchet” and was produced again by Kris Comeaux (A Static Lullaby, Assuming We Survive). Spell Releasing New Album “For None And All”

Vancouver heavy metal power trio Spell will release sophomore album, “For None and All,” on May 27th via Bad Omen Records. The record follows 2014 debut, “Full Moon Sessions.”

“For None And All” features a striking cover image created by artist Adam Burke for Nightjar Illustration (Ruby the Hatchet, Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats), foretelling the record’s mystical vibe.

Spell will hold a special album release show on May 27th at Vancouver’s Fortune Sound Club. Also performing will be Danava and The Order of the Solar Temple. The new album’s track listing is:

Ruby The Hatchet Releasing “Ouroboros” Album On Vinyl

Philadelphia psych-metal band Ruby The Hatchet will see debut album “Ouroboros” issued on deluxe LP this coming April 29th via RUR Records / Outer Battery.

Recorded three years prior to the group’s celebrated Tee Pee Records debut, “Valley of the Snake,” the 2012 digital-only release — now presented for the first time on any physical format — offers insight into Ruby The Hatchet’s formative years and blues-based hard rock sound. The limited edition colored vinyl LP is available to pre-order now at this location.

“It has been a long time coming and we are beyond excited that after four years our first album is getting a proper vinyl pressing,” comments vocalist Jillian Taylor. “‘Ouroboros holds a lot of nostalgia for us and is a fan favorite. This album shows our blues and classic rock beginnings and it is also where organ enters the soundscape, shaping our sound from this point on.”

Hatchet Announces New Bassist, Kody Barba

San Francisco thrash band Hatchet has announced Kody Barba as its new Bassist. The band comments:

“Kody has made quite the journey from Harrisburg Pennsylvania to join us in recording the album. His presence will definitely be heard on the new album and his style is awesome! We thank him in his commitment and faith in the Hatchet name and he is bringing a new, excited energy to the group.”
