GWAR‘s new album is being hailed by critics as the greatest sonic event since the Big Bang. The Blood of Gods, produced by Ronan Chris Murphy (King Crimson, Ulver, Steve Morse, Bozzio Levin Stevens, Mafia III), chronicles the massive battle between GWAR and the forces of all that oppose them. GWAR B-Q Postponed Until 2018

– February 8th, 2017 –

New Album In Progress – Heavy Touring in 2017 – First Dates Announced

Attention Human Scum!! Your Lords and Masters GWAR have been quiet lately, but do not fret, things are about to pick the fuck up! We have good news and bad news…what do you want first? Bad news? We thought so…

It is with both great sorrow, and a twinge of self-satisfied glee (because we love to make you suffer), that we announce the following: The GWAR B-Q has been postponed this year. Yes we know that sucks, but we will make it up with the biggest and baddest GWAR B-Q yet when it returns in 2018.

Why is the GWAR B-Q postponed? Well, this is the good news! The band is working on a new album and a whole new show that will blow your minds faster and harder than a meth addicted hooker blows a paycheck. Also, GWAR are about to take on the craziest year of touring in the band’s recent history, and will be destroying North America literally all year! We are still lining up dates for the year long killing spree, but don’t worry Bohabs, GWAR will be coming to visit all of your little shithole towns, and together, we will Make America Bleed Again! And as a little treat for all you Bohabs, GWAR can confirm their first tour dates set for April. The Scumdogs will hit Reading, PA, Columbus, OH and will headline the Berserker Metal Fest in Detroit, MI. Tickets for all of these shows go on sale this Friday February 10th.

Details about the new album remain sketchy, partly because the band wants to proceed with great secrecy, and partly because they have been very busy playing Pokémon GO. Suffice to say that they are working an album that will change the world as we know it, altering the consciousness of all living things. More details about the recording will be made available “when we fucking want to tell you“, says guitarist Pustulus Maximus. We wait with (mastur) bated breath!!

GWAR Live:
4/13: Reading, PA @ Reverb
4/14: Columbus, OH @ Newport Music Hall
4/15: Detroit, MI @ Berserker Fest VI @ Crofoot Ballroom

– July 6th, 2016 –

Appearances at The Gathering of the Juggalos and Riot Fest Chicago On Deck!

Currently everyone in Antarctica is slaving away on preparations for the 7th Annual GWAR B-Q. During a break in the action to step away for a quick hit of crack, the band realized that there was no crack left.

7th annual GWAR B-Q announces first fistfull of bands performing at the wildest party of the summer!

– May 10th, 2016 –

The 7th annual GWAR B-Q will be held on August 20th in beautiful Richmond, VA at historic Hadad’s Lake. GWAR will of course be performing a set full of murder and mayhem, and now, it pleases your Intergalactic Overlords to divulge the first round of bands that have been confirmed for this year’s outrageous event!

Over the years, the GWAR B-Q has had the best and brightest in metal, punk, and rock music grace the stages at their beloved event, and this year is no different. For the first time ever, Richmond, Virginia’s own Lamb of God are going to make the short trip down to Hadad’s Lake where they will destroy this year’s GWAR B-Q and melt the faces off of every Bohab in attendance.

Last year the GWAR B-Q embraced multifarious genres…look it up…ranging from The Descendents to mc chris to Clutch. Continuing to push the boundaries in their quest to make the GWAR B-Q the biggest and most musically diverse festival around, GWAR has taken time out of their busy schedule of getting high and watching porn to confirm that aggro political punks Against Me! will make the trek to Richmond to be a part of this year’s GWAR B-Q festivities!

Jumpstarting the mayhem will be Boston’s own Wes Eisold and his band of reunited punk rock stalwarts, the influential American Nightmare. The Boston crew will surely school the GWAR B-Q audience on just how they shaped the sound of contemporary hardcore.

And we’re just warming up here. A wall of feedback will surely explode the heads of bloodsoaked Bohabs when the “Godfather of Southern Metal,” Jimmy Bower, and Mike IX Williams take the stage with their sludge metal powerhouse, EYEHATEGOD, who are coming all the way from the underbelly of New Orleans to Richmond, Virginia to crush the capitol of the confederacy once and for all.

Surviving Bohabs can get their infectious pop punk groove on when the pride of Santa Barbara, California, Lagwagon, hits the stage! Your Lords and Masters have a soft spot for these rumored hotel trashers that helped put Fat Wreck Chords on the map.

But that’s not all, folks…As of last year, the celebration of all things GWAR has grown to include an entire weekend of debauchery! The B4BQ is once again scheduled to take place the day before the GWAR B-Q at The National in Richmond, VA. The B4BQ will feature tons of killer bands…including the entire raging Summer Slaughter ’16 line up…And as always; the B4BQ will include raffle drawings, giveaways and more to occupy the hopes and dreams of every Bohab. Check gwarbq.com for up to the minute details on GWAR B-Q 2016.

Stay tuned for the GWAR B-Q ticket on-sale date in early June and hold your breath until your masters reveal the next group of bands in this year’s line-up of loud legends!
