We’re headed into the studio in February and can’t wait for you all to hear our new record due in the Summer of 2019!

Destroyer 666 Re-Signs With Season Of Mist

Season of Mist is proud to announce the re-signing of Destroyer 666. The influential metal cult act will again release its next extreme masterpiece via the label.

Regarding the re-signing, guitarist/vocalist KK comments: “Believing it is preferable to go with the devil you know, Destroyer 666 has signed for our next album with Season of Mist.”

Season of Mist CEO Michael Berberian adds: “Even though they are not the easiest to deal with, re-signing Destroyer 666 is something I really wanted. When you operate in the metal scene, you sometimes need to face the real bad boys. This is not about playing safe.”

What a ringing endorsement, eh? Sounds like the band and label just loooove each other. Set to record late July, the forthcoming album promises a return to Destroyer 666’s thrashing roots. When asked about the delay between albums (the last studio full-length was “Defiance” back in 2009), KK responded:

“I have been busy with what every red blooded headbanger wants to do: tons of sex, drugs, and heavy metal – just a lot more from all of it than I had planned. Well, now I have taken a break from such things to finish the album, deal with wankers, and start gigging again.”

You can catch the band live this fall performing at the following upcoming festivals:

04 Sep 15 Vaires-Torcy (FR) Fall of Summer Festival
09 Oct 15 Bucuresti (RO) Old Grave Festival
16 Oct 15 Sélestat (FR) Rock Your Brain Fest

– February 13th, 2015 –

Captured by award-winning producer Anssi Kippo (Children Of Bodom, Impaled Nazarene, Entwine etc.) at Astia-Studios in Lappeenranta, Finland, ENSIFERUM‘s predominantly analog-recorded One Man Army brandishes eleven stunning tracks of the band’s signature synthesis of Viking, folk and power metal swathed in fantastical themes of Scandinavian lore. In celebration of its release, now less than two weeks away, the band has partnered with Spotfiy to bring fans a stream of the record in its entirety.

Hosted by Decibel Magazine, each day Spotify will add an additional One Man Army track to their player leading up to the record’s final descent. One Man Army is already procuring the praise of media outlets both stateside and abroad. Revolver Magazine champions the record noting, “Finland’s ENSIFERUM have long traded in their designation as a “folk metal” group, but on the band’s sixth studio album the metal side of that label is decidedly dominant. And it’s epic metal at that: ‘One Man Army’ blasts forth with symphonic guitar orchestrations, double-time drum gallops, quick-changing dynamics and operatic vocal chorales that would make 19th century homeboys Pacius and Sibelius proud,Metal Hammer gushes, “ENSIFERUM have produced their most polished album to date; one that bulges with bombast and rages with frostbitten grit… these northern sword-wielders are close to finding the perfect recipe for taking folk into the mainstream of metal – all without losing a shred of authenticity,” while MetalSucks, in a near perfect 4/5 rating commends the band for being “warlike and fiery,” dubbing One Man Army, “a perfect example of the band’s standout sound: it’s definitely a genre piece, but it’s the best of its kind.Loudwire concurs, “ENSIFERUM has become one of folk metal’s finest acts…ENSIFERUM’s music awakens one’s inner warrior… it’s a pity fighting to the death with swords and battle axes is illegal nowadays.

Dew-Scented Finishes Recording New Album

German thrash metallers Dew-Scented have just finished recording their new album. They once again recorded at Soundlodge Studio in the deepest heart of Northern Germany with Jörg Uken (God Dethroned, Suicidal Angels, Nightfall, etc.) as producer.

“We have worked with Jörg already on ‘Incinerate’ for the recordings and then on the previous album ‘Invocation’ for recordings and mix. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to team up with him again and the time we worked on the new music together in his halls pretty much went flying by! The best part however is: The final mix turned out really, really HEAVY, so much we can tell you already!” comments singer Leif Jensen.

A few song titles off the new album are “Sworn To Obey,” “Reawakening,” “Storm Within,” and “Gleaming Like Silver.”

The new album will be released by late July 2012 via Metal Blade Records in Europe and Prosthetic Records in North America. The artwork was once again created by Björn Goosses / Killustrations, with whom Dew-Scented already collaborated since 2003’s “Impact.”

Leif Jensen adds: “The new album’s artwork looks totally stunning and we can’t wait to share it with all of you soon! We are right now finishing off the work on the layouts and just did a promo photo session this past weekend, so all things are rolling forwards!”

Dew-Scented also announced the following update on the band’s live schedule: “Unfortunately we were forced to cancel our appearance at Chronical Moshers open air festival on June 9th due to logistical complications on our end. We would like to apologize to the good people at CMOA / Metalclub Reichenbach. We were truly looking forward to playing their Anniversary event, but it simply wasn’t meant to be! Hope we can make up for it in the future. Deranged from Sweden are replacing us there, so make sure to support them by attending and joining the party!

“Find more details here. In better news, we have just announced to be supporting Metal Blade label mates Six Feet Under on a run of shows in August, with very good timing for our new album’s release!”
