New Music Video “Sacrifice” Issued By Wishing Well

Finnish hard rockers Wishing Well released a video for the song “Sacrifice” off the latest release “Chasing Rainbows,” issued via Inverse Records on February 5th.

“The new album has got some very positive feedback and we decided to gain momentum by coming up with a video while the album is still fresh. We wanted to introduce the heavier side of Wishing Well and that’s why we chose this song,” says lead vocalist Peter James Goodman. “It’s the slowest track on the album and there’s really heavy groove there. People seem to like the song and we like it too!”

“We didn’t really have a budget for the video but we didn’t let that stop us,” says guitar player Anssi Korkiakoski, who came up with the idea for the video. “We’re happy that it’s out there now, at least people can see some faces this time. It’s the music that really matters but of course videos are very important and we’ll certainly come up with more videos later.”

The band is now promoting the album and making plans for the future. They will support Graham Bonnet (with whom they cooperated on “Hippie Heart Gypsy Soul” single) in Helsinki on April 21st, with more dates to be confirmed later.

Dragonsclaw Adds Drummer Mark Zonder For New Album “Moving Target”

Recorded over a 2 year period, Australian traditional metal band Dragonsclaw are nearing completion of the third full length release entitled “Moving Target.” Joining the band on drums this time around on drums is Mark Zonder (Graham Bonnet Band/ex-Fates Warning/Warlord). The date for “Moving Target” has not yet been set, but its expected in 2016.

Mark comments : “Having worked with Giles in Warlord, when he played me the new Dragonsclaw songs I heard a great development in their sound, and it was great to get involved on this record. These are strong powerful metal songs!”

Vocalist Giles Lavery added: “This record finds us moving quite far away from the power metal sound of the first two releases , we wanted to make a record that was a ‘traditional heavy metal’ record in the style of mid 80’s Judas Priest or Iron Maiden, with the raw production of something like early Twisted Sister… a focus on big memorable songs was the main priority … it has taken a long time to get this record to exactly where we want it, releasing ‘just another metal record,’ or something that sounded like the first two Dragonsclaw records would be kinda pointless, this had to be something that took it to the next level in performance, songwriting and more … having Mark on drums was part of that plan.”

The band issued the album’s first music video “The Road Beneath Your Wheels” yesterday, which you can check out at this location.

The track listing for “Moving Target” is:

1. Road Beneath Your Wheels
2. Survival
3. Cry Wolf
4. Don’t Break The Silence
5. (Tell Me)All Your Lies
6. Ghost Soldiers
7. Shadowfire (feat. Todd Michael Hall)
8. Back On The Streets
9. Raise Your Fist
