Dirty Machine Premiere New Music Video “Against The World”

A new music video for Dirty Machine‘s song “Against The World” has premiered online streaming via YouTube below. The clip was helmed by Ron Underwood (9Electric).

Comments the group’s vocalist David “Dirty Davo” Leach:

“‘Against The World‘ is an anthem for any athlete, artist or individual being held back from their dreams. Nowadays it’s so easy to walk away from your goals and aspirations, in fear of financial ruin or just simply not making it. When in reality, the people who are holding you back are right in front of your face.”

Realms Of Vision (Animosity, Entheos, Etc.) To Release “Through All Unknown” LP

Creator-Destructor Records is excited to announce the late March release of Through All Unknown, the upcoming full-length from Bay Area-based Realms Of Vision.

Realms Of Vision began in 2015 and has been establishing a name for themselves regionally with their special blend of slow destruction. Featuring Frank Costa (Animosity, Entheos) and Corey Largent on guitars and vocals, Mike Ambrose (Set Your Goals) on drums, and Brandon McCubbin on bass, the California hard-hitters are road-worn experts in their craft, and the nine tracks that comprise Through All Unknown reveal that resoundingly.

While their debut EP introduced the world to the band’s sonic intent, their debut album serves as a massive accomplishment in the band’s progression. Costa explains: “Through All Unknown is an album about trudging down the path of reality. It explores life and death, the natural world, the dark powers that control our lives, and trying to connect with a spirit greater than ourselves. The music has expanded melodically and thematically from the Unrevenged EP, while keeping the influences heard on that release very much alive. Through All Unknown is the first major step in our identity as a band, and we can’t wait to keep exploring.”

Realms Of Vision will release Through All Unknown on CD, LP, and digital platforms on March 30th, 2018.

Omnikage Inks Deal With Art Gates Records

Art Gates Records is proud to announce the signing of Omnikage to its international roster family, commenting:

“The band takes origin in 2009, it was a Sunday afternoon when the name OmniKage was written for the first time; the 5 members of the band were discussing the best way to explain their emotions. A mix of anger, frustration, hope, love, power and freedom. They understood that the solution could be to put people and their universe in a cage, Omnia – Kage.

“This five-pieced line up is inspired by very different influences, such as electronics, Nu Metal, Jazz and Bluesm Classic Heavy Metal vibes and Old School Death & Thrash Metal. Last November Omnikage were in Russia supporting Fear Factory on their tour.”

Omnikage also had this to say about the signing announcement: “We’re very excited and thankful to start this collaboration with AGR; we think that they will be an important step for our growth. Can’t wait to start working together and reach our goals.”

Omnikage will release the “Acceptance” album in April 2016, with more news coming soon.

Byzantine Posts 2015 Recap Message To Fans

Chris Ojeda from Byzantine just checked in with this year-end recap message and update about what to expect in 2016:

“Hey guys, OJ here! We have been really quiet here in the Byzantine camp during the last month as things are winding down for 2015. This year has been a roller coaster for the band as we have had some of the coolest things and some of the worst things happen. We will start with the worst…

“This year we lost Matt Wolfe as the drummer of Byzantine. This came as a shock to us and I personally didn’t think I would be carrying on with Byzantine without Skip, Tony and Matt. BUT, the show must go on! We are currently in the process of finding the next member of our band that is willing to get into the trenches and continue to make waves for Byzantine.

“We are currently looking for tours for Spring, Summer and Fall so if any of you around the world want to see Byzantine live, write your congressman and favorite band and request to see us on their tour!

“Now for the good stuff… With the help of Adam Pollock @ (RED), we released our 5th album on our own label, Snakepit Music. Kodi, Zach and Nick @ The Syndicate were instrumental spreading the word around the airwaves and in the press. The Art of Christopher Lovell produced the hands down BEST album cover we have ever had! And lastly, Jose and Sirius XM allowed us to sit beside our heroes at the big boys table. Thanks to all you guys!

“We toured with some fantastic bands in Wednesday 13, IKILLYA, Thy Will Be Done, Your Chance To Die and played some great one off shows like South X Southwest in Austin and Rock n Shock in Worcester.

“Our album, financed ONLY by fans, friends, family members and the band itself took up real estate on many Album of the Year lists as well as finishing in the top 20 of the year for Loud Rock (CMJ) and Sirius Liquid Metal. So, to wrap this novella up, here’s our goals for 2016.

* Tour the West Coast of the US
* Tour Canada
* Tour Europe
* Play Festivals
* Write album 6
* BECOME A BETTER BAND!

“We appreciate all the love, support and as always… we will keep on trucking. Chin up and Head Down. HERE’S TO A HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS 2016!”

THE GREAT DISCORD Debut Video “The Aging Man” Video via Metal Injection

– May 20th, 2015 –

Duende Out June 2nd in North America on Metal Blade Records

…They swoop brutally over a raw, dramatic, cinematic and multi-colored canvas where not a single space left to chance-Sweden Rock-

Sweden has been a fertile ground for metal of all varieties for multiple decades, and there appears to be no sign that this will change anytime soon. The variety and quality of bands is staggering, and Metal Blade Records is prepared to help add THE GREAT DISCORD to the list of one of Sweden’s finest new groups. The band’s cornerstone is with the enigmatic vocals of Fia Kempe. Her tone and delivery is immensely emotive and is augmented by a band whose sound is impossible to describe. It’s technical, heavy, and yet not so much to overwhelm those not anointed in metal. What’s important is that The Great Discord offers a truly unique twist on both metal, and what is to be expected from a female-fronted band.

One of the most unique things about THE GREAT DISCORD is their visual presentation. This has been showcased so far in a series of four video teasers that can be viewed HERE.

Today, the band further expands upon their intriguing and mystifying visuals with a new video for the song “The Aging Man“. The video was directed by Philip Kullgren and edited by Joakim Sjöholm, both from Pellen Productions. Metal Injection is exclusively premiering the video today. Check it out HERE.

The video is a mix of a presentation of our band, and a visualization of the concept behind our song, The Aging Man. The idea is that a man, facing his mortality, struggles with his impending death, here personified by Fia’s stage persona. Acting as a sort of inverted Saint Peter, or Charon, she is a gatekeeper, a guide, challenging his thoughts and beliefs about what is going to happen, and forces him to face his demons and his regrets. The game of chess is a symbol for this struggle. Welcome to THE GREAT DISCORD,” says the band about the video.

Revolver Magazine is streaming the song “L’homme Mauvais.” Check it out HERE.

Duende will be available worldwide on Metal Blade Records on June 2nd in North America, June 1st in the UK / Europe, and May 29th in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Listen to the first single “Eigengrau” and pre-order your copy of Duende now at metalblade.com/thegreatdiscord. Sample The Great Discord‘s striking visuals, which will be a big part of their live show, on their official YouTube channel HERE.

The relationship between Fia Kempe and drummer Aksel Holmgren has stood for many years, connecting on a deep personal level when it comes to music, though it was only when they came together to form THE GREAT DISCORD in 2013 that their collaboration began. Sharing an interest in progressive music, they count the likes of Genesis and King Crimson as well as contemporary acts such as Meshuggah and The Dillinger Escape Plan among those who have inspired them.

While music pundits and critics will fall over themselves trying to label the unique and intriguing sounds contained within Duende the band are more interested in presenting their music to the world, with the hope of making a profound musical connection with the likeminded. Having been working toward the completion of the record for nearly two years the band have perhaps only just arrived at the beginning, and the ambitiousness of their music is further reflected in their goals. “We obviously want to take over the world,” Kempe smiles. “We really believe in our vision, we really believe in the concept behind everything that we do. We want to entertain people. We want them to come to our shows and experience everything that we have visualized for this band, and we want them to relate to the emotion that we’re putting into our songs, to be able to find something in THE GREAT DISCORD that they cannot find anywhere else.

THE GREAT DISCORD is:
Fia Kempe – vocals
Aksel Holmgren – drums
André Axell – guitars
Gustav Almberg – guitars
Rasmus Carlson – bass
