Tribulation Premiere New Music Video “The Lament” From Upcoming New Album “Down Below”

A new music video for Tribulation‘s new track “The Lament” has been premiered online and can be watched below.

Robert Piel directed the clip with the band stating:

“We always plant strange seeds, seeds that when fully grown and ripened have taken their own often unexpected twists and turns. When working with this video we got to share that process with someone else who is also planting strange seeds. Director and producer Robert Piel approached us and wanted to make a collaboration, which was something that we gladly accepted after seeing his previous work and after seeing how well we got along and how our cinematic references really overlapped.

It’s rare that you find people who have that creative spark that lacks in most of us and the discipline to fully get the job done. Robert and his entire crew had that! They all put a lot of effort and work into this and we all gladly endured the long and cold German nights. We hope you all enjoy our artistic amalgamation!”

Details Of New Album “Alpha/Omega” Posted By Masters Of Diguise, New Single Available

They are one of the hottest assets the German speed metal scene has to offer: Masters Of Disguise. The new album “Alpha/Omega” is bound to conquer the metal world when it drops via Limb Music on October 27th in Europe and November 24th in North America. Eleven songs including a mighty cover version of Exciter’s “Blackwitch” have been recorded to drive any speed metal maniac crazy. Apostasy Records Signs Night In Gales

Apostasy Records announced that the label has signed German melodic death metal act Night In Gales. Fans of the early material can expect a proper rejuvenation of the band.

Night In Gales looks back at turbulent times: The first sign of life, 1995’s EP “Sylphlike,” was already one of the most successful metal-demos of all time. Therefore, label-powerhouse Nuclear Blast came into the picture, with whom the quintet signed a deal for a couple of albums. They also toured alongside In Flames, Hypocrisy, Children Of Bodom, Death, Dismember and many others and they played numerous festivals like Rockharz, the Wacken Open Air or the Summer Breeze. After some calmer years, the band returned with 2011’s brilliant album “Five Scars.” Only one year later, long term vocalist Bjoern Gooßes left the band to concentrate completely on his band The Very End.

Last year, the band announced the addition of original vocalist Christian Mueller who also sang on their initial EP “Sylphlike.” He finalized the new album, which marks a distinct step back to the band’s roots. Thus, the songs offer furious melodic twin guitar riffing, driven by technical death metal drumming, topped by a manic frustrated voice that sounds like someone is crucified upside down.

The band comments: “We are happy to confirm that Night In Gales has inked a new worldwide record deal with Germany’s finest in melodic death metal: Apostasy Records! It feels good to be back and we are 100% sure to have the full support of Tomasz and his Team, as these guys are true underground-proofed death metal maniacs, who run the label with the necessary passion and idealism. We are proud to be a part of the Apostasy roster among brothers in crime like Ablaze My Sorrow, This Ending, Nailed To Obscurity, Burial Vault, Fragments Of Unbecoming, Damnation Defaced, Sign Of Cain, a.m.o. The new album is ready to release and there will be some exiting news containing more details like album track list, cover artwork, editions a.s.o. really soon, so stay tuned for this! Cheers, NIG anno 2017”

20th Anniversary Edition Of Debut Album “Glory To The Brave” Announced By HammerFall

Sweden’s HammerFall will release the 20th Anniversary Edition of the celebrated debut record “Glory To The Brave” on December 1st. The release is chock full of bonus material.

When HammerFall released the debut album “Glory To The Brave” 20 years ago, the five Swedes launched a true heavy metal revival overnight. While the mainstream still concentrated on grunge and the metal scene was dominated by black metal and gothic acts, this traditional metal record was like a godsend and heralded a new era. “For us, the immense success was a real shock in the beginning,” singer Joacim Cans remembers, because suddenly, HammerFall was considered to be the saviours of true metal. They received countless rave reviews from magazines, Wacken Open Air booked the band for a prime time slot on the main stage, Kai Hansen invited the band personally to join as support on the Gamma Ray tour and the CD entered the German album charts at the amazing position of #38 – an unbelievable achievement during this time. “Our advantage was that no one has expected us and our album. We only did what we wanted and felt compelled to do.”

This passion was not least influenced by German metal acts like Accept, Helloween and Stormwitch, but also by other underdogs like Warlord or Picture. “I’m still very proud of this album, it has turned our lives upside down” the vocalist sums up, and is equally proud of the extensive re-release of the cult album, which will be released on December 1st via Nuclear Blast. The re-release includes the completely re-mastered version of “Glory To The Brave,” a radio edit of the legendary title track as well as the great cover version of the Stormwich classic “Ravenlord.” The bonus CD will include six live versions of “The Metal Age,” “Steel Meets Steel,” “Stone Cold,” “Glory To The Brave,” “Hammerfall” and “The Dragon Lies Bleeding,” as well as a medley from numerous tracks off of their first-class debut album, which was recorded live this year at a show in Berlin.

In addition to this, the double CD will also be enhanced by a bonus DVD containing the first chapters of “The First Crusade” documentary, which was originally published on VHS, as well as four new, historically edited interview chapters plus a live recording of their Dynamo Open Air show at Eindhoven in 1998. It will be available as a Digipak in an attractive box set, including a booklet containing detailed liner notes, many photos from the private archives of the musicians as well as magazine reports, flyers, posters and much more. Besides the 2-CD/DVD, you can also purchase the audio part separately, which includes bonus tracks as a double-vinyl.

There has been no other album that was quite as important for the development of heavy metal in the nineties and now, the milestone will be published in a comprehensive deluxe edition that leaves no wish unfulfilled!
