Comeback Kid Premiere New Music Video “I’ll Be That” & Reveal Fall U.S. Touring Plans

Comeback Kid debut a music video for their song “I’ll Be That“. Director Sami Joensuu produced the video with the group themselves saying of it:

“For ‘I’ll Be That‘, we shot another hybrid video working with our good friend from Finland Sami Joensuu for the second time. We collaborated on the narrative trying to incorporate a story that involves someone being their worst enemy and trying to escape themselves before it all catches up to them. The band performance was shot in Lisbon, Portugal on an afternoon before we played a show there earlier this year. Excited to finally get this out.”

Meatwound Streaming New Song “Reproductive Blues”

As Meatwound preps infectious second LP, “Largo,” for release through Magic Bullet Records in the coming weeks, today a stream of the gnarled “Reproductive Blues” track comes online.

Meatwound’s Daniel Shook offers: “Fundamentalists and politicians don’t like abortions. They also don’t like birth control or sex education. If you honestly want to stop abortions, those things are proven to reduce abortions more effectively than prayer or highway billboards. It’s almost like they want to keep the world stepping over endless unwanted babies.

“Round about twenty-three years ago, Initial State made an LP and the song ‘Feast’ has stuck with me ever since. The first line: ‘You would bring another into the vile machine/One more mouth among the billions to hang agape in need’… I think it was the first song I heard that was specifically about overpopulation.”

Set And Setting Reveals New Album “Reflectionless”

Florida outfit Set And Setting will drop third album “Reflectionless” on January 27th, 2017 on vinyl, CD, and digital formats. Today you can hear opening track “Saudade” below.

Guitarist Shane Handal gives this insight into the release: “Every album we have done has had a concept to it. With ‘Reflectionless’ I wanted to be a little more vague. This album is based on the idea that external reality is just a projection of your inner self. The particular ‘character’ here has no idea who they are, therefore having no reflection.”

Frameworks Working On New Album Due Out In 2016

Frameworks has a new album in the works due out later this year via Deathwish. The label also comments:

“Since their 2011 inception, Gainesville’s Frameworks have quietly become a favorite of many in the emotional hardcore scene. Creating music in the vein of Touché Amorè, Explosions in the Sky, Envy, and other powerful artists.

“After a string of EPs in their early years, Frameworks released the ‘Loom’ album on Topshelf Records in 2014. Recorded with engineer Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor), the album was well received worldwide by critics and listeners alike.

“Frameworks have now returned with a new EP titled ‘Time Spent,’ out February 5th on Topshelf Records. Recorded at Glow In The Dark Studios with engineer Matt McClellan, the EP shows a darker side of the band as they incorporate experimental instrumentation into their sound. A brand new full length album is due out later in 2016 on Deathwish.”
