God Mother Debuts New Song “De Ovälkomna” From Upcoming New Album “Vilseledd”

God Mother debuts a new song entitled “De Ovälkomna”, taken from the upcoming new album “Vilseledd”, which Party Smasher Inc. will have in stores on September 29th. The new track sports a guest turn from Jonas Holmberg and Patrik Andersson of This Gift Is A Curse.

Check out now “De Ovälkomna” below.

States God Mother frontman Sebastian August Campbell of it:

“The idea of the lyrics came from one of our tours in northern Sweden during the winter, where the days are short and the night is always looming. Some days, even farther up north, the sun doesn’t show face at all. Winter depression is a real factor in Scandinavia. This song is a praise for the crawling chaos behind the veil of civilized human society that lives after the sun’s hours.”

“Today, we’re announcing that last Saturday’s Santa Cruz Music Festival was our last show with our frontman, vocalist, and friend Jesse.

“Jesse has gone on to pursue other avenues of music and life and we wish him the best in all his endeavors. As many of you know, Jesse is an amazing vocalist, lyricist and musician. As many more of you know, Jesse is an outstanding person and friend and we consider ourselves lucky to have had him at the head of our lineup.

“He was integral in pushing our music in uncomfortable directions that molded our sound and style. In shorter terms, there are innumerable ways to express our thanks to Jesse but we will end this chapter of A Thousand Shall Fall with a ‘thank you’ to a dear friend.”

“Gone is about giving someone all you have and holding on until you just lose it. The feeling you get when you feel so distant from someone and they say they are there for you and care about you is not fun. I have a feeling a lot of people have had this kind of experience. The anger, frustration and mixed emotions are what we put in to this song and video.”
