The Raven Age Posts New Song “The Day The World Stood Still” Online

This March, UK heavy rockers The Raven Age will release their highly anticipated second album Conspiracy through Corvid Records. Ahead of the release, the band have shared the fourth installment from the record ‘The Day The World Stood Still’.

A melodic metal monster that is as brilliantly catchy as it is artfully heavy, it’s equipped with epic guitar solos and powerful vocal lines that have the ferocity and theatrics of the likes of metal heavyweights Avenged Sevenfold. It follows the tracks ‘Surrogate’, ‘Betrayal of the Mind’ and the previous single ‘Fleur De Lis’, which has now reached over 1million streams on Spotify.

Named after a collective of ravens, Conspiracy is a cryptic soundtrack to the immersive fantasy world that the combined minds of bandmates Matt James (vocals), George Harris (guitar), Tony Maue (guitar), Matt Cox (bass) and Jai Patel (drums) have created. A world that delves into history’s myths and legends, with the stories re-told through their music and imagery. Clues left within their artwork and lyrics connect everything together to be part of a bigger story, pointing to what may later come to pass for The Raven Age.

Conspiracy is an inventive, mature and thrilling body of work that’s full of twists and tangents that carry the excitement from start to finish.

Having already built a solid live presence after touring the globe with the likes of Tremonti, Killswitch Engage, Shinedown, Mastodon to name a few and appearing at a number of festivals including Waken Open Air, Bloodstock and Download, they will be supporting this release with their biggest headline run to date across the UK and Europe throughout March and April with support from Defences.

They will then continue the year as support to Iron Maiden on their North and South American leg of the ‘Legacy Of The Beast’ tour from July to October.

Infected Dead Details For Upcoming Album “Archaic Malevolence” Revealed

From the rotten shores of the River Medway in Kent, UK, Infected Dead have emerged to reveal details of their debut record Archaic Malevolence, set for release 8th December via Hostile Media. Six tracks of visceral death metal, brutal, catchy, influenced by genre leaders Aborted and The Black Dahlia Murder, as well as a love of the occult and Lovecraftian cosmic horror. The 5-piece have honed a razor-sharp sound, underlined by their trademark breakneck speed and intense live shows, which has been quickly turning heads in the UK underground.

Today today the band have offered up a brand new single, the closing track from the record ‘Samsara’, and have accompanied the release with a guitar playthrough from Alex Brown which clearly demonstrates their technical prowess.

Guitarist Alex Brown comments, “We are delighted to announce our union with Hostile Media for the release of our first offering. This year has been great for us and we’d like to thank them for their faith in what we do and for helping us step up to the next level. From the start of the writing process for Archaic Malevolence it was always our intention to push ourselves. We wanted to enter uncharted territory and push the boundaries of what we could do technically and creatively. Inspired by modern day juggernauts such as Aborted, The Faceless, Nile and countless others we feel this release is the perfect balance of unrestrained brutality, infectious hooks and sinister melody from the grandiose title track to the crushing weight of ‘Invocation Of Unspeakable Gods’ this release was designed to grab you.”

Archaic Malevolence was produced, mixed and mastered by Wynter Prior while Luciferium War Graphics was responsible for the epic artwork.

New Album “No Compromises” Announced By Dreamer’s Crime, New Single/Video Clip Available

Dreamers Crime announced that the band is set to release the brand new album “No Compromises” on Friday November 17 – an album created and crafted by the Sydney band along with Stevie Knight and Dave Petrovic at Electric Sun Studios (Tonight Alive, The Dead Love, Thy Art is Murder, Northlane). This is the debut album and it hits hard and pulls no punches.

“No Compromises” will be available for pre-order this Friday October 13 and punters will receive new single “Here We Are” – the new single and the second cut from the record. Today, the band is also releasing a filmclip for the track to celebrate the announcement, so check it out at the bottom.

Pete Repousis, frontman for the Sydney outfit, said that “Sometimes to get to where you wanna go, you have to say – f*#k what others have to say and just go for it. People sometimes over-compromise and end up the person they don’t want to be or in a place they never wanted to be in. Sometimes, for the sake of your beliefs and your dreams, you have to say no. That is where the album name ‘No Compromises’ came from. We didn’t want to compromise on this record and neither should our fans have to accept any less from us.”

Simon Kapsis, guitarist for Dreamers Crime says that “2018 is set to be a big year and releasing the album is just the beginning. The band wants to go anywhere and everywhere after the release of their album at the end of 2017, and the rest is yet to come.”

Decrepit Birth Posts “Epigenic Triplicity” 360 Degree Lyric Video

Decrepit Birth is set to release first new album in seven years, “Axis Mundi,” on July 21st via Agonia Records (Europe / ROW) and Nuclear Blast Records (North America).

“Epigenic Triplicity” is the first single to be revealed from the record – check out the track in the form of a 360 degree VR lyric video below.

“We’ve gone through an evolution throughout the years” says founding member and primary songwriter Matt Sotelo. “The last couple of albums we had, ‘Diminishing Between Worlds’ and ‘Polarity,’ were more progressive death metal. They were different from’ …And Time Begins,’ which is a different genre of death metal.

“It’s more brutal. I’m the type of guy who likes to experiment. ‘…And Time Begins’ has no solos. It’s all really fast palm-muted riffs. The other albums breathed more with the guitars. I let chords ring out on Diminishing Between Worlds and Polarity. Axis Mundi is combination of all the stuff I’m into. I like it a lot right now. It’s more melodic. The riffs repeat intentionally. I want to have fun with these songs.”

“I don’t know if we’re going to re-shape death metal,” he continues, “We’re just a band. We’re doing this. We’re fans of the genre. We do our own thing with it. It’s our own paint job. What sounds cool to us. We don’t aspire to be the most technical band out there. The technicality isn’t our main goal. Technicality is part of what we are. When we were writing this album, we wanted the songs that had riffs that repeat. There’s more structure with our new stuff. We’re trying to write good music. We want to entertain people out there. Hopefully, everybody likes ‘Axis Mundi.'”

1. Vortex of Infinity…Axis Mundi
2. Spirit Guide
3. The Sacred Geometry
4. Hieroglyphic
5. Transcendental Paradox
6. Mirror of Humanity
7. Ascendant
8. Epigenetic Triplicity
9. Embryogenesis
10. Orion
11. Desprate Cry
12. Infecting the Crypts

Edensong Streaming New Song “The Atman Apocalypse”

As “Years In The Garden Of Years,” the second full-length from NYC-based progressive ensemble Edensong, nears release through Laser’s Edge at the end of the month, a new single from the record has been issued.

Check out “The Atman Apocalypse” below, which features a brief guest appearance by Adrian Belew (King Crimson, Frank Zappa, David Bowie, Talking Heads, etc.)

Considered by the members of Edensong to be “the craziest thing they’ve ever written,” the mammoth track consumes over ten minutes, delivering some of the most bombastic elements of the entire album.

The band offers, “‘The Atman Apocalypse’ is a cornerstone track on ‘Years In The Garden Of Years’ and the climax of the song-cycle that makes up most of the album. It takes so many of the musical themes from across the record and fuses them into the most brutal and ‘proggy’ thing we’ve probably ever written.

“It’s actually based on a string quartet that Tony (our drummer) wrote a few years back, which Edensong then spun out into an epic rock tune. It’s even got a cameo from Adrian Belew, by way of a chance encounter. We always jokingly imagined Adrian’s voice in this particular moment of the song, so it’s pretty awesome (and hilarious) that it’s actually there. Listen carefully or you’ll miss it.”

1000 Drops Of Venom Releases 1st Song “To Their Doom”

From Syracuse, New York, arises a vicious new act founded by members of some of the area’s most prolific acts, welcome 1000 Drops Of Venom!

From the torch bearers that put the sound of one of the worlds prime metallic hardcore origins on the map, 1000 Drops Of Venom was forged by a cast of musicians who have helped create the Syracuse sound, with vocalist Karl Buechner (Earth Crisis, The Path Of Resistance, Freya), guitarist Jonathan Dennison (The Promise, Unholy, The Path Of Resistance), drummer Andy Miller (Unholy), and bassist Chris Reilly comprising the brutal backline.

The debut recordings have just been completed, and are now being finalized for a 7″ EP release, which features four by-the-throat tracks recorded, mixed, and mastered by Doug White at Watchman Studios in Buffalo, New York (Gym Class Heroes, Brutal Truth, Psyopus).

The release will be issued in the coming months, on a label to be announced at a later time. For now, the band has leaked one track from the record as an early warning of what’s to come. Issues Jonathan Dennison of this new venture:

“Well, talks of starting a new band together with Karl has finally materialized. I think fans of our past and present bands will like what we’re doing. Musically this band represents how we feel and some things never change.”

Karl Buechner continues, “JD and I became friends back when Another Victim toured with Earth Crisis in the nineties. Since then we have played music together in Earth Crisis, The Path Of Resistance, and Freya at different points. It was only a matter of time before we put a band together on our own. Our beliefs and our take on metal and hardcore are identical. There is genuine hatred in this music but it’s not back to square one. I think it’s the best elements of what were known for.”
