Brick By Brick Premiere New Music Video For “Bar Is Open”

Brick By Brick (Full Blown Chaos) debut a new music video for their song “Bar Is Open” from their recently released record “Hive Mentality“. Kim Cangemi helmed the clip.

Comments Brick By Brick guitarist Mike Valente of it:

“This music video just depicts a day in the life amongst friends. This is how life should be – carefree and surrounded by loved ones. Sharing good times is what life should be about. The filming came naturally and captured these animals in their natural habitat.”

Adds vocalist Ray Mazzola:

“‘Bar Is Open‘ is the sonic embodiment of the band and our lifestyle. Life is meant to be lived and enjoyed. Live hard, love hard and party hard with our friends and family. The song has its own energy and is a pure personification of the raging spirit in all of us. If you’re bored with life, you’re living wrong.”

Good Tiger to release “Redux” EP; new video for “Float On” streaming now

– February 11th, 2019 –

Good Tiger will be releasing a remix EP entitled “Redux” to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the release of “We Will All Be Gone.” The EP features remixes from the band, as well as from some of their friends.

Guitarist Dez Nagle explains: Guitarist Dez Nagle explains: “Track one was done by the band and set off the idea of doing the EP. Thankfully, we know a number of extremely talented musicians who could be involved on the EP. There are remixes by Periphery guitarist and electronic artist in his own right, Jake Bowen, L.A producer Ahh-Ceh, and NYC based post-rock electronic group, Infinity Shred. We felt a simplified acoustic arrangement of “Salt” would be a great way to wrap everything up.

It was extremely fun revisiting these tracks and seeing how other artists we admire approach reimagining the original compositions we had made on WWABG.

Redux” track listing:
1. Such a Kind Stranger (Redux)
2. Float On (Jake Bowen Remix)
3. Blueshift (Ahh-Ceh Remix)
4. Grip Shoes (Infinity Shred Remix)
5. Salt of the Earth (Acoustic)

The remix of “Such A Kind Stranger” will be launched on all digital music services on March 7th. The EP will become available to stream in full on March 22nd. Additionally, a new video for “Float On”, shot and edited by WAFKA (wyattclough.com), is now streaming at: blacklightmediarecords.com/goodtiger

Morgoth Guitarist Carsten Otterbach Dies After Battle w/ Multiple Sclerosis

Morgoth’s founding member and guitarist Carsten Otterbach has passed away after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. The 48-year-old played on the band’s first two EPs, “Resurrection Absurd” (1989) and “The Eternal Fall” (1990), as well as the first three full-length albums, “Cursed” (1991), “Odium” (1993) and “Feel Sorry For The Fanatic” (1996).

Robert Kampf (Century Media Records co-founder), whose label released all of Morgoth’s studio efforts, issued the below statement concerning Carsten Otterbach’s death:

“With a very heavy heart, I learned that a close friend of 28 years, Carsten Otterbach, has passed. Carsten had a decade long battle with MS (multiple sclerosis). While he was a trooper and battled it hard for a long time, it was one of those battles that eventually take you down. I will always remember Carsten as a very sharp-minded, well-read, business-savvy and, at the same time, very fun-loving, tolerant and simply great guy. He will always live in my heart.

Carsten fought very hard for his artists and was honorable as it gets. Legendary are the fights between my late partner Oliver Withöft and Carsten. The two of them fighting was scary if you were in the room, but always a fun story afterwards. Both were good friends and, unfortunately, did not make it to age 50.

Farewell, Carsten. You will not be forgotten and will be held in very high acclaim by your friends and by several generations of metal artist.”
