Iron Maiden Announces “Legacy Of The Beast” World Tour Dates

British heavy metal icons Iron Maiden has announced a series of headline shows in both North and South America for the Summer of 2019 as part of their “Legacy Of The Beast” tour. Support on the trek will come from The Raven Age, featuring George Harris (son of Iron Maiden bassist Steve Harris,) while additional support at the Los Angeles show will come from Fozzy.

Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson comments: “We’re excited to return to North America and share the Legacy Of The Beast Tour with all our friends there! We’re immensely proud of this show and we’ve had great reactions from the many fans who came to see us in Europe earlier this year. The production is based on our mobile game The Legacy Of The Beast which basically takes various incarnations of Eddie into many different Maiden Worlds. This inspired us to put together a stage show to take our fans through different Worlds and experiences set to appropriate songs. It is not that easy designing different Worlds on stage and we put a huge amount of work into this to make it work and the end result we feel is our most spectacular and certainly the most complex show to date.

“We’ve got all kinds of crazy things going on, including a replica Spitfire plane dominating the stage during ‘Aces High,’ tons of pyro, a giant Icarus, muskets, claymores and some truly marvellous flame-throwers which I have a hell of a lot of fun with, as you will see! And of course we have Eddie, as you’ve never seen him before, and absolutely loads of other surprises. I’ve had the time of my life playing with all these magnificent props on stage, it’s been fantastic, we can’t wait to bring this show to you!”

Steve Harris, bassist and founder member adds: “We gave a lot of thought to the set list for this Tour as the songs needed to follow the narrative of the changing worlds of the stage show. We feel we ended up with a very strong and well balanced set mixing songs we haven’t played in many years like ‘Flight Of Icarus,’ ‘Sign Of The Cross’ and ‘The Clansman’ with songs we know the fans want to hear like ‘The Trooper,’ ‘2 Minutes To Midnight,’ ‘The Number Of The Beast,’ ‘Fear Of The Dark,’ ‘Run To The Hills,’ ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’ and others, reflecting the journey through the different themes of the show. The whole band is really enjoying this tour and we are really looking forward to seeing everybody again!”

Artillery releases video for third single, “Pain”

– November 8th, 2018 –

November 16th sees Artillery release their new album, The Face Of Fear – which is the successor to 2016′s Penalty By Perception. The Danes have now launched a video for the 3rd single taken off the album – “Pain” – which can be seen here: https://youtu.be/HBtQsvZyquM

Guitarist Michael Stutzer comments: “The story behind ‘Pain’ is a true story, about an alcoholic who was never listening to his friends or family when they tried to make him stop and quit drinking. And when he got to the point where he realized himself, he had to stop – it was too late and there was no way out anymore. The video for ‘Pain’ was recorded in Kolding and Randers by Morten Madsen (MSM production), who also directed our previous videos for ‘Legions’ and ‘Live by the Scythe’.”

The Face Of Fear is the band’s 9th studio album and the third with the current line-up. To hear the previous singles, “The Face Of Fear” and “Crossroads To Conspiracy”, please visit: metalblade.com/artillery – where the record can also be pre-ordered in the following formats:

–ltd. Digipak-CD with 2 exclusive bonus tracks
–180 g black vinyl
–opaque grey blue marbeld vinyl (ltd. 300 – EU-exclusive)
–golden yellow blue marbled vinyl (ltd. 200 – EU-exclusive)
–blue green / white splattered vinyl (ltd. 100 – EMP-exclusive)
–blue/black marbled vinyl (ltd. 300 – US-exclusive)

The lyrics are Artillery as you know them, with subjects concerning the destruction of mankind, double standards, abuse and the looming worst-case scenarios. The Face Of Fear was recorded with long-time producer Soren Andersen at Medley Studios. It’s Soren’s fifth time at the helm, and once again he manages to deliver a monster production. Soren comments: “Pure and raw! Some of the material of this album was originally written in the early 80′s, and that inspired us to go old school this time. Not too many layers, just classic Artillery thrash metal…And Bastholm is better than ever on this one. This is a no-filler album, created together with the band. I’m really proud of the final result and I hope everyone will enjoy it as much as I do!”

The Face Of Fear track-listing:
1. The Face of Fear
2. Crossroads To Conspiracy
3. New Rage

All Hail The Yeti Premiere New Track “See You Never”

All Hail The Yeti debut another track from their impending new record “Highway Crosses“. Below you can take in “See You Never” from the effort ahead of its November 16th release on Minus Head Records. The group will perform a free album release show at The Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA on November 14th.

Speaking of this newest song to be shared, vocalist Connor Gerritty commented:

“The new track, ‘See You Never,’ was one of the first songs written for ‘Highway Crosses‘. The song was written about a person from my past that disrespected me, the band, my friends, our fans and my family. The lyrics say, ‘I am stronger than you, nothing left to prove’ instead of handling this person with violence or physical harm, I turned to bettering myself and fighting harder to be successful in my life.

Sometimes fighting physically is the natural reaction for being wronged. When you stand up for yourself with intellect instead of violence, it shows a far greater amount of self respect and I think in the end it feels like better revenge! Musically, this is the classic AHTY song. It has heavy verses, more hooks than a tackle box and a storming bridge/breakdown to finish it off! It has been crushing live on this current tour with Life Of Agony and I feel that this song will be a staple in our live set!”

Behemoth and Kings County Brewers Collective join forces for “Wolf ov Siberia” Double IPA

– October 10th, 2018 –

Behemoth announces NYC and LA art exhibitions for new album, ‘I Loved You At Your Darkest’; ‘I Loved You At Your Darkest’ available now worldwide

Behemoth and Kings County Brewers Collective (Brooklyn, NY) have joined forces for a Double IPA, “Wolf ov Siberia”! From the most blasphemous depths of extreme metal comes a collaboration brew of epic proportions: “Wolf ov Siberia” pours pale gold in the glass, with a light lupulin haze. A blistering blast of bright lemon and crushed lime greets your nose, followed by grapefruit, melon and green pine from a megaload of Citra, Motueka and Centennial hops. Balanced by soft wheat and flaked rye, with a touch of savage bitterness on the finish, it’s fierce, fresh, and dangerously drinkable at a 7.7% ABV. “Wolf ov Siberia” beckons all Behemoth and beer fans – “come all ye wolves ov Siberia, we hail the flame, we hail the ice…”

Tony Bellis (co-founder, Kings County Brewers Collective) comments: “We love brewing a wide variety of different beer styles at KCBC and strive to constantly challenge our drinkers’ taste buds – in the same way that Behemoth has consistently pushed the boundaries of metal into brutal, uncharted territories over the years. Having been long time Behemoth fans, we’re incredibly excited to collaborate with them on this killer Double IPA.”

Behemoth mastermind Nergal adds: Behemoth global domination is still in full effect! After partnering with our friends at Perun to give you a unique craft experience, we thought why just brew beer for the lucky ones in Europe? Kings County Brewers Collective said they could delight the palate of the Americans too! Just in time for our album release October 5th, you’ll be seeing ‘Wolf ov Siberia’ at a bar near you!”

KCBC will host a “Wolf ov Siberia” can release party on October 15th at the KCBC Brewery & Taproom in Brooklyn, followed by a wider release to quality craft beer spots throughout the NYC metro area and beyond. For more information, please visit:

“Wolf ov Siberia” will also be available at Behemoth’s upcoming art exhibitions in NYC and LA (“Thou Art Darkest”), for their new album, I Loved You At Your Darkest. See below for more details; to RSVP, head over to: behemoth.pl/thouartdarkest

Released last week worldwide, I Loved You At Your Darkest is a crushing salvo of black metal majesty replete with hellish riffs, thundering drum cannonades and soaring liturgical choirs reminiscent of classic horror cinema. The group’s most dynamic record yet, the album is extreme and radical on one hand, but also more rock-oriented than any other Behemoth release. Produced by the band themselves, with drum co-production by Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames), mixing by Matt Hyde (Slayer, Children Of Bodom) mastering by Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson), and a 17-piece Polish orchestra arranged by Jan Stoklosa, I Loved You At Your Darkest can be previewed and purchased now at: behemoth.lnk.to/ILYAYD

Behemoth will be touring the USA in support of I Loved You At Your Darkest this October/November, by headlining the “Ecclesia Diabolica America 2018 e.v.” trek, featuring special guests At the Gates and Wolves in the Throne Room. Decibel announces final lineup of Metal and Beer Fest LA

– August 20th, 2018 –

All tickets on-sale now

The third and final wave of bands and breweries for Decibel Metal & Beer Fest: Los Angeles, set for December 1 and 2 at the Wiltern, completes the cast for the inaugural west coast event with daily lineups announced and all ticket options now available as well. Industrial metal legends Godflesh join the bill along with trad metal revivalists Pounder and blackened hardcore pack Wolf King. They’ll be united with brewery additions Modern Times (CA), Metal Monkey (IL) and Ghost Town (CA).

“We are super excited to be working with our friends from Decibel on this year’s Metal & Beer Fest,” says Brian Slagel, CEO of Metal Blade Records, the festival’s presenting sponsor. “It will be a great time and we are honored to again be working with everyone at Decibel magazine.”

Headliners include thrash legends Testament, who will play a special set of both their classic The New Order and The Gathering records in full, along with the Tom Gabriel Fischer-led Triptykon performing a special all-Celtic Frost set. American melodic death metal kingpins The Black Dahlia Murder, grind heroes Pig Destroyer, revered doom trio YOB, new thrash gods Power Trip, doom ‘n’ rollers Khemmis, death metal upstarts Skeletal Remains, Bay Area bruisers Necrot, heavy metal new jacks Haunt and craft beer-obsessed extreme metal veterans Trappist round out the band lineup.

“I’m sure we’ll see fans travel from all corners of the planet to witness this heavily overdue set!” exclaims Testament guitarist Eric Peterson. “Get your tickets quick! You won’t wanna miss this event. A gathering of the new order is upon us!”

Not to be outdone, the country’s most metal breweries will converge in a maelstrom of malt madness! Featured breweries Unibroue (CAN), Phantom Carriage (CA), Three Weavers (CA) and Weyerbacher (PA) will be joined by flagship breweries Three Floyds (IN), TRVE (CO), Brash (TX), Adroit Theory (VA), Burial (NC), Hoof Hearted (OH), Societe (CA), Left Hand Brewing (CO), Hydra Brewing (SD) and Wayfinder (OR), while Wake (IL) and Black Sands (CA) will make their first Decibel Metal & Beer Fest pours. And just like when the musicians in the night’s best bands hang out before and after their sets, the metalheads that make these skull-crushing high-gravity beers will be headbanging along during the festivities, ready to toast exclusive samples and, of course, talk metal and beer.

Destruction Reveals New Drummer Randy Black

German thrash metal legends Destruction are pleased to officially welcome Randy Black (Annihilator, Primal Fear) into the fold, after a gruelling probation that involved extensive touring with many shows around the globe.

Randy will make his official debut as the band’s new drummer at Wacken-Open-Air on August 3rd, 2018.

Mastermind Schmier states:
“Many years ago, when Randy was still with Primal Fear and we were looking for a drummer, it was the first time we talked about Destructions open drummer seat. But we did not wanna approach them at that time because of his obligation with good friends. Some years later he filled in for Vaaver on the American Tour with Sepultura because Vaaver became a father again at that time. So it was obvious for me, to pass the baton to Randy first this time. And he blew us all away with his tight, groovy and over the top drumming. He’s also a very cool Canadian lad that lives in Germany for many years now – so it was a perfect match right away! Hell-come on board buddy!”

Guitar player Mike adds:
“It’s surely not easy to replace an outstanding drummer like VAAVER !!!
But the Show must go on, and RANDY kicks in like a motherfucker…
Solid , groovy, heavy, humble….He´s on fire!!!

“Get prepared my friends …”

And the new Destruction drummer Randy commented:
“After a recent successful tour of Asia, Australia and a handful of great festival shows I’m very happy to announce my position as the new drummer for the Thrash Metal Legends DESTRUCTION!
35 years running! Try to wrap your head around that!
I’m looking forward to continuing the Destruction legacy together with Schmier and Mike including plans of recording a kick ass new CD and touring the planet.

“I‘m chomping at the bit to get out there and Thrash for all you crazy Metal heads on the road soon!“
