Like A Storm To Play Dirt Fest 2014

The New Zealand hard rockers in Like A Storm are confirmed to play this year’s Dirt Fest. Hosted by Banana 101.5, the 16th annual Dirt Fest will take place at the Birch Run Expo Center on August 9th.

Festival owner and organizer Matt Dalton expressed that “For Dirt Fest 2014 we wanted to make the lineup something different and special.” You don’t get much different or more special than three brothers all the way from Auckland, New Zealand rocking out a midwest North American stage with a didgeridoo!

The band’s latest single, “Love The Way You Hate Me” skyrocketed to the number 1 spot in its home country before catapulting across the North American sea and airwaves into the number 1 spot on satellite giant SiriusXM Octane for five straight weeks. Catch Like A Storm live on these dates:

Deserters Posts New Music Video For “The Plunge”

Deserters’ music video for “The Plunge” has been premiered online, and can be viewed in the player below or over at Bloody-Disgusting.

Speaking on the lyrical content of the song, vocalist Matthew Roell stated, “We spend eight years at a desk, to spend four years at a desk and if we work hard enough and our parents saved enough, we can spend four more years at a desk. Once all of that is said and done, we compete with each other for the opportunity to spend the rest of our lives, sitting at a desk.” Adding, “I don’t want any part it. I’d rather take the plunge.”

“The Plunge” comes from Deserters’ album “The Slow Rhythms of a Dead-Beat,” which is available in stores and online now from Mediaskare Records.

The band will be hitting the road in April alongside King Conquer, Surrounded By Monsters, and Sessions. Confirmed dates are as follows:

Beyond The Shore Announces New Tour Dates With Veil of Maya

Beyond the Shore has landed the opening slot for a portion of Veil of Maya’s upcoming headlining tour. The “Canadian Forgiveness Tour” begins April 28th in London, ON with Beyond the Shore confirmed through May 4th. Additional supporting acts on the tour are The Contortionist and Glass Cloud. The entire list of confirmed dates can be seen below, with more still to be announced.

Beyond the Shore will also be joining Shai Hulud on tour in March-April, as well as appearing on the annual New England Metal and Hardcore Festival in Worcester, MA. Beyond the Shore is scheduled to perform at the fest on Sunday, April 21st.

New album “Ghostwatcher” slated for release on April 2nd

Beyond the Shore have released a brand new music video, which is streaming exclusively on AlternativePress.com. Homewrecker is the band’s first official video, complete with an emotional storyline composited against the band’s active performance. The vibrant, visually captivating video can be seen now HERE. Homewrecker was directed by Coleman Saunders for Americus Studios.

Additionally, Beyond the Shore has posted several DIY studio updates on metalblade.com/beyondtheshore, where fans can also stream Half Lived and pre-order copies of Ghostwatcher.

About Beyond the Shore:
In 2008, the Lexington-Fayette, KY quintet formed when the members were still in high school. Relentlessly booking shows, touring and balancing school at the same time, BEYOND THE SHORE had the privilege of sharing the stage with acts such as: Born Of Osiris, Shai Hulud, MyChildren MyBride, Of Machines, After The Burial and many more. BEYOND THE SHORE has created quite a buzz in the short time they have been a band.

The band’s first release, “The Arctic Front” EP (2009), was produced by Kelly Cairns and recorded at Lambesis Studios (As I Lay Dying, War Of Ages, Austrian Death Machine, Impending Doom) in San Marcos, California. The band’s debut release helped to build an impressive internet buzz, starting with the release of the first single “Shotgun Sunrise.” After playing several shows in support of the debut EP, BEYOND THE SHORE began work on their full-length, Ghostwatcher.

In 2012, BEYOND THE SHORE headed to Lowell, NC to record the their first full-length, which was produced, engineered, mixed, and mastered by Kevin Newland of Newland Recordings. Ghostwatcher, the band’s debut full-length, will be released on April 2nd, 2013. The first single, Half Lived, is available now on iTunes. Job For A Cowboy Announces Tour Dates With Cephalic Carnage

Job For A Cowboy has announced that the band will be embarking on a short tour of the northeastern US, with select dates in Canada. Direct support on the tour will come from Cephalic Carnage, with additional supporting acts I Declare War, and Legion, with one more TBA. The tour will begin December 6th and wraps up on December 18th.

Founding member and vocalist Jonny Davy adds: “Hey guys! We’re very excited to announce our first headlining run in almost two years! This will be an incredible tour with the lineup we’ve put together. We have one more special guest to announce as well as a couple more tricks up our sleeve. Do not miss this tour! Abiotic Reveals New Album "Symbiosis" Details

Surfacing from the heart of South Florida, Miami’s Abiotic will release the “Symbiosis” album on October 22nd via Metal Blade Records. Today Abiotic has revealed the album artwork, tracklisting, and released the first single from the debut album.

Abiotic Comments On Upcoming Tour Dates With Sea Of Treachery

As was recently announced, Florida technical death metal newcomers Abiotic will join forces with Sea of Treachery, Float Face Down, and The Burial for The Return to Chaos Tour. The tour begins next month on September 14th and runs all the way through October 14th.

News regarding Abiotic’s full length debut will be announced shortly, with the most up-to-date information available at the band’s Facebook profile here.

Guitarist John Matos adds: “We can’t wait to finally shred up the west coast! We’re excited to be hitting some cities and states that we’ve never been to before with some great bands! This is a tour no one should miss!”
