Forever Still Posts “Is It Gone?” Music Video Online

Only two more weeks to go until Forever Still unleash their sophomore full-length release “Breathe In Colours.” For this record, Denmark’s highflyers have adapted a dark musical concept, inspired by a dystopian cyberpunk future in which humanity flees into cyberspace, and the fact that some of the biggest works in that genre, Blade Runner and Akira, are set in 2019. With their first two singles, “Rew1nd” and “Breathe In Colours,” the do-it-yourself band have already presented the rocking side of their new release, and today, they introduce their listeners to the capturing power ballad “Is It Gone?.”

“The overarching thought behind ‘Is It Gone?’ can be summed up in the chorus line saying “it’s only gone if I let it go”, which is something I think a lot of people can relate to”, Maja explains. “We hold onto all these negative things and thoughts, some that might never even happen. I remember reading one time that 85% of things we worry about never come true. That’s a lot of trouble for no reason at all. Sometimes you just need to let it go and stop obsessing over things that are out of your control.”

Forever Still Posts New Music Video “Breathe In Colours” Online

On March 29th, Forever Still will unleash their sophomore full-length release “Breathe In Colours” via Nuclear Blast. Inspired by a dystopian cyberpunk future and the fact that some of the biggest works in that genre, Blade Runner and Akira, are set in 2019, Denmark’s highflyers have adapted a dark musical concept for this record and take a look at the world being on the verge of ecological collapse, while humanity is fleeing into cyberspace to escape the horrors of the real world. You can check out the video below.

After the epic “Rew1nd,” the band now unveils the second single of their upcoming album – their title track “Breathe In Colours.” The song title and album name was inspired by a memory from Maja’s past, as she explains:

“The album title was born from an experience, I had as a young teenager, where I started wearing all black and a friend of my mother’s suggested that I wear more colours. I told her that it’s just an aesthetic preference and she replied that it was okay “as long as I remembered to keep the colours on the inside”. At that time I thought, it was the stupidest thing, I’d ever heard, since wearing black clothes doesn’t automatically mean you’re sad inside. Despite thinking that, her words stuck with me and I was able to have it make sense in a new way much later in life. For this album it’s an affirmation that even though the world sometimes seems cold and grey, there is still colour and kindness to be found, but in order to see it, we first have to find the colours on the inside.”

Forever Still Speak On Electronic Influences On New Album “Breathe In Colours”

After recently presenting the first single off their upcoming album ‘Breathe In Colours’, out on March 29th via Nuclear Blast, Denmark’s high flyers Forever Still unveil further details about their sophomore full-length release, revolving around a dystopian future and people fleeing into cyberspace to hide from the devastating reality.

In this second trailer, frontwoman Maja Shining explains why the band decided to use a theremin (!) and how they created the rough, electronic trademark sound of the album by running everything through a vast array of analog equipment, such as an old reel to reel tape machine, bizarre effect pedals and even “a crappy cassette machine”. Watch the clip below. On March 29th, the album will be available both physically and digitally.
