Cradle Of Filth To Release 20th Anniversary Edition Of “Cruelty And The Beast” Late Spring 2018

Cradle Of Filth‘s plans for a 20th anniversary edition of their 1998 album “Cruelty And The Beast” is now scheduled for a late spring 2018 release. The band shared the below statement on the matter with re-mixing sessions having recently been taking place with Dani Filth and producer Scott Atkins.

“Dani Filth has been spending all week in Grindstone Studios with ‘Cryptoriana‘ producer @grindstonescott working on the remix of 1998’s ‘Cruelty And The Beast‘, which will see the light of day late Spring to commemorate the album’s 20th anniversary in 2018 e.h.

Dani has piped up saying that ‘the remix is coming along fabulously, with a few weeks still left to seriously lift this to a new dimension. The real trick here is making the album not only sound better, but also in retaining the crepuscular atmosphere of the original release. Fans are going to absolutely love this and I promise that Scott and I have totally treated this monster with the upmost respect it deserves’.

The album will also feature Cradle of Filth’s cover of @ironmaiden’s ‘Hallowed Be Thy Name’, (which is in the process of being remixed as well) and the band have most definitely not ruled out the possibility of playing the album in it’s entirety in the not-too-distant future.

More important additions to the ‘Cryptoriana’ World Tour‘ will be revealed next week, so stay tuned to this deviant frequency.

Original plans had the revised edition of the album arriving in stores this past spring, though that obviously didn’t happen.

New Album “Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay” Announced By Cradle Of Filth

UK’s legendary extreme metal icons Cradle Of Filth have announced the details for the band’s upcoming 12th full-length album.

“Cryptoriana – The Seductiveness Of Decay” will be released on September 22nd via Nuclear Blast. You can view the stunning cover artwork by Arturs Berzinš below. Berzinš is the mastermind behind the new record’s artwork, photography and videography – best known for his defiant neo-symbolism raster graphics and oil paintings; postmodern interpretations of classic myths. He has been proclaimed as a “sacred monster of Latvian postmodernism.”

The album was recorded at Grindstone Studios, Suffolk, UK by the very honorable Scott Atkins, Esq., who has been the resident go-to producer for Cradle Of Filth for several albums. Dani sat in during the mix, serving up flaming mugs of teas, making the studio couch his own and lending his ears when necessary.

Commented the infamous Dani Filth: “The album is deeply infused with Victorian gothic horror and thus the title is a reflection of that. ‘Cryptoriana’ implies the Victorian’s infatuation with the supernatural, the grave and the ghoulish. And the subtitle ‘The Seductiveness Of Decay’ further cements this attraction to death and the glittering lengthy process of self-annihilation.”

The first single off from the album will be released on July 5th, the same day that the album pre-order will become available.

Today the band also announces the first full scale UK and Ireland tour in years, starting in Belfast, Northern Ireland on October 30th.

Added Dani Filth: “We, as a band, are incredibly excited about hitting the UK and Ireland for a full run of dates around All Hallows Eve, as playing the band’s home country is always great fun and the audiences here are very receptive. And nuts. The dates will be the first in a long line of shows that will extend throughout the rest of the World throughout 2018. Wan Announces “Wan Way To Hell” Album Release

The Norse old-school black metal miscreants from Wan are set to release “Wan Way to Hell,” their third and most devastating album to date, on February 10th via Carnal Records.

Wan was formed in 2009 as a triad of aggression with the intent of bringing metal back to its roots – raw, filthy, and in the gutter with a twist of punk. A year later, the band released first full-length “Wolves of the North.”

Core members Aganaroth, Isengrim, and Tsjud recruited drummer Dimman for the 2013 follow-up “Enjoy the Filth.” Dimman’s time in Wan was short-lived, opening the door for current skin-basher Draup.

“Wolves of the North” was re-recorded in 2015 and released together with “Enjoy the Filth” as a limited gatefold double LP. The band has since brought primal, old-school black metal to several stages in preparation for this upcoming deadliest release to date.
