Song Premiere: Nordheim – “I Wish You Were Beer” From Forthcoming Album “Rapthor”

We’re pleased to bring you the premiere of Quebec based folk metal band Nordheim’s new song “I Wish You Were Beer” streaming below. The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album Rapthor, which is scheduled to be released on November 24th.

The band commented: “You know the feeling you get when you are impaling a busty T-Rex with your giant throbbing errecsword while lightning strikes you and transforms your hand into a fucking laser-cobra? Well this song isn’t close to that but it’s still pretty good.”

“We want to give the fans one of the heaviest and nastiest folk metal albums to date with ‘RapThor’. It is different from our first two. We had great feedback when we played the songs live. This album is the heaviest of them all while cutting back on the European folklore influences. It’s the result of our hard work over the last few years. It is super-heavy party music!” says Warraxe.

Behemoth’s Nergal Comments On Decapitated Being Accused Of Gang Rape/Kidnapping

Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski, no stranger to legal troubles (most famously running afoul of the Supreme Court in his native Poland for his controversial views on Christianity some years back), has spoken out about Decapitated’s arrest for kidnapping and the accusations of gang rape from a Washington woman. He basically tells everyone to just wait for the facts to come out in the case before you start judging.

Speaking on the matter via his Instragram and Facebook account Nergal states:

“Touring life may get crazy every now and then. I was not on the Decapitated bus. I didn’t talk to anyone and I do not know the other people involved. I don’t want to speculate but I have learned in both my personal life and in many years of touring that people are complicated. I personally have never forced anyone to have sex with me and there should be a NO TOLERANCE policy used in such cases, no question.

“But I do know the Decapitated guys, and in my experience, they are bunch of good, decent and hard-working fellas. IF in fact they committed a crime, they will have to deal with the consequences but please keep in mind that only some of the people involved have had their voices heard thus far. So, PLEASE take a breath, count to 10 and THINK before you start stigmatising, accusing and judging them publicly for something they may not have even done!

“I was arrested, I spent night in a Russian jail where my passport and phone were confiscated. I know the feeling and I can only imagine what horror and trauma my friends and everyone involved are going through now. I profoundly hope this whole case will end up positive for them as soon as possible and they will return home safe. Stay strong and hold on tight!”

The band themselves issued this statement earlier this week, denying the accusations.

And justice for all? Touring life may get crazy every now and then. I was not on the Decapitated bus. I didn’t talk to anyone and I do not know the other people involved. Arkaik Releases “Futile State” Video

Advancing the September release of Arkaik’s fifth full-length album “Nemethia,” the brutal tech-death metal outfit today releases an official video for the record’s “Futile State” track.

Produced and directed by Nikko DeLuna, with effects by Trevor “No One” Turner and makeup by Sherra Dixon and Jenn Jones, the new “Futile State” video visually delivers some of the album’s sci-fi influence.

A continuation on the conceptual saga of Arkaik’s two previous releases, on “Nemethia” the journey of Cyrix expands into new landscapes, as does the band’s technical prowess and creativity.

Vocalist Jared Christianson commments: “The song is about the feeling of existential futility and the catharsis it can create. The video is a blend of ideas. I took inspiration from Plato’s Allegory Of The Cave, mixed with neo-shamanism and put a transhumanist spin on it. Nikko DeLuna is great at taking my ideas and bringing them to life. It was a pleasure to work with him again, and the rest of our team. Enjoy!”

Explains the band:

“Sessions is a concept album about the journey through the mind of a troubled mental patient who is struggling to confront his own personal demons through a series of sessions with a psychiatrist. Each individual song resembles those sessions. Whether they’re spastic (to give the feeling of panic the patient is feeling), or offering triggering the epiphany that is his own reality, Sessions is not just an album… it’s an experience.”

Holocausto Canibal Premieres Full-Album Stream Of New Release “Catalepsia Necrótica: Gonorreia Visceral Reanimada”

Portuguese death/grind band Holocausto Canibal decided to re-interpret and re-record the songs of its first demo “oPus I” and its debut album “Gonorreia Visceral”, and the result in this 20th year of the band’s existence is this new album titled “Catalepsia Necrótica: Gonorreia Visceral Reanimada” streaming below.

Check it out in its entirety below.

Comments bassist and founding member Z. Pedro on this new release:

“This re-recording and reinterpretation with today’s line-up and technologies is something that we couldn’t even think about when this first songs were wrote. If someone told us back then that someday we would be touring America or Europe, like we did in the last few years, we would probably laugh ourselves off, but the reality is that we’re still here, trying to bring you the feeling of the 90’s Oporto extreme metal scene that we all love and grew with and playing the same style we choose in our first rehearsal ever: Death Gore Grind.”

Joy Posts “Cut To The Nerve” Music Video

2016 brought North Carolina hardcore outfit Joy’s debut Blood & Ink release “Of Nothing.” This year, in response to a high demand from fans, the band is releasing the effort on a limited 7-inch vinyl pressing.

In support of the re-release, Joy has premiered a new music video for the “Of Nothing” song, “Cut To The Nerve.” Vocalist Andrew Langhans comments:

“We like to have as much say as possible when it comes to the creative aspects of the band. For this video, wanted to make something chaotic and almost painful to watch. Trying to capture the feeling of hate in a visible form, or maybe what intense anger looks like in your mind.”

Sylvaine Posts New Track “Delusions”

Norwegian multi-instrumentalist Sylvaine is streaming the opening track from forthcoming album “Wistful,” coming via Season Of Mist on May 13th, 2016. Check out the song “Delusions” below.

Sylvaine comments: “The song ‘Delusions’ was a natural choice for the opening position of ‘Wistful’, as it captures the range of different expressions shown throughout the whole album very well. From a pure a cappella intro, to the very ethereal, full and epic ending, ‘Delusions’ is a piece that is bound to take the listener on an emotional journey, one that is connected to the feeling of how our humanity is slowly corrupting our essential nature.”
