Voivod Posts New Video, “Always Moving” Online

Canadian progressive thrash metal legends Voivod has posted a new music video online for the song, “Always Moving.” You can check it out below. The song comes from the band’s latest album, “The Wake,” which is set to hit stores on September 21st through Century Media. “The Wake” is the first new album from Voivod since 2013’s, “Target Earth” and is their first full length release to feature bassist Dominique “Rocky” Laroche.

Dying Whale Reveals New Album “Last Moments Of Misery”

Georgia-based hardcore punk outfit Dying Whale has issued full details and a February 3rd street date for the Nefarious Industries-bound “Last Moments Of Misery” album. In addition, a new track has come online. Check out “One Final First Kiss” below.

Dying Whale tracked “Last Moments Of Misery: at Earthsound Studios in the band’s hometown of Valdosta, Georgia in February 2015, again working with engineer/producer Lee Dyess. Following a lineup shift, this is the first of the band’s recordings to feature bassist Matt Zagorski also handling vocals, which mesh with the explosive and multifaceted delivery of guitarist Josh Zorn.

Drummer Eli Werth also makes his debut with the band, adding an element of urgency to the music that wasn’t fully captured before. Additional vocal contributions from Rich Weinberger (Gatherers), Jeff Hill (Machinist!), Kelby Clark (Divorce Ring), Nannen Gatchell (Smiler), and Victor Skamiera (Fero Lux) are spread throughout the twelve-song melee.

New LP On The Way From Deadlock, Band Signs With Napalm Records

German melodic death act Deadlock have signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records. The bandi s in the studio recording the follow up to the 2011 LP “Bizarro World.” The new release will be the first to feature bassist John Gahlert as the band’s new harsh vocalist after the departure of founder Joe Prem. Bass duties now fall to the band former tour manager Ferdinand Rewicki.

The band commented on the signing:

“Dear friends and supporters, we found a new home and entering a new chapter of Deadlock. We are thrilled to announce, that we’ve got signed by the mighty Metal-Powerhouse Napalm Records to release our new album. Since Napalm started in 1992, they have proven to be a high demanded record-label and it’s an honor for us to be on a roster amongst many other great bands. We couldn’t be more excited to start working with the guys and unleash the best and most intense record DEADLOCK did so far.”
