False Flag Premiere Full-Album Stream Of Brand New Self-Titled Debut EP

False Flag’s unique blend of d-beat, neo-crust, black metal, screamo, and hardcore, complete with philosophical nature of the lyrics, make them one of the most fiery and intelligent bands in recent years. Premiered below, the three track self-titled debut EP is currently available on Bandcamp.

Says guitarist Shaunak:

“The songs on this EP are reflections on alienation- ideological, societal and existential. The words here are informed by the experiences I’ve had during what proved to be the most difficult and crucial years of my intellectual, ideological and personal growth. It’s not difficult to see that they are also informed by ideas of albert camus and the Frankfurt school. While, Unbroken was composed around the words written by a very dear friend of mine”.

Magma Rise Releases “False Flag Operation” EP

Today – March 14th, 2016 – Hungarian doom metal band Magma Rise sees a new EP release via Nail Records / Hammer Music. The “False Flag Operation” EP comes out 3 years after previous CD “The Man In The Maze.”

Vocalist / bassist Holdampf Gábor comments on this freshly released mini-album: “The new songs are a bit more gloomy unlike the tracks of ‘The Man In The Maze. That’s the extract of all the things which sorrounds us know. We live in a World in what everything is about juggling with people, rushing them into dreams then crushing them up…

“The Trouble cover was in our mind for many years and finally we worked it out. The apropops is just that that our friend Butch – the doom legend, singer of Penance erstwhile, and the member of Argus nowdays – mentioned before that he would like to record this song and looking for partners in that. I told him that Magma Rise would happily take part in it. Then for some different reasons we held over this project. But the time has come now!”

Discharge Releasing New Album “End Of Days”

U.K. band Discharge signed to Nuclear Blast late last year and now the time has come to unleash a new studio album on an unsuspecting world. The “End Of Days” arrives April 29th, 2016. Discharge commented:

“So here it is the ‘End Of Days’… 15 brand-new tracks. The first day we entered the studio we kept hearing all over the media that there was a blood moon that night, and certain religious groups were reporting that it was the ‘End Of Days.’

“It seemed a natural title for the album given the lyrical content of the songs and the state of the world today, so it stuck with us. Regression has been the basis of this album, opposed to ‘progression’.? We really cut it down to basics on this one, quite a few songs under two minutes long… we’re all really pleased with it. Play loud!”

Pre-orders are now online at this location and the track listing is as follows:

01. New World Order
02. Raped And Pillaged
03. End Of Days
04. The Broken Law
05. False Flag Entertainment

False Flag Streaming New Track “Sacrifice Of Solitude”

The track “Sacrifice of Solitude” off of the “Nest of Vipers” EP from Calgary groove metallers False Flag is now online. This track is the first song off the 2015 EP slated to be released Tuesday, August 4th and available for pre-order here.

The Calgary four piece wanted to ensure that fans would not be completely caught off guard by the changes from this new EP to older albums like “Orobas” (2013) or “Suffer In Silence” (2014), commenting:

“We wanted to start the EP off with a familiar sounding song, something that could have been off our last album or our first EP. ‘Sacrifice Of Solitude’ is a solid, mid tempo rocker with a bouncy groove throughout. The lyrics deal with the spreading of lies through disinformation and the defiance of blissful ignorance. The song also features guest vocals from Garrett McElroy from Afterearth (Who also engineered and mixed the new EP at his studio).”

It’s coming…. “Nest of Vipers,” is the third release from Calgary’s False Flag, and this time the band is taking to the road.

False Flag’s signature bottom end sound was mastered by Alan Sasha Laskow at Perfect Fifth (Every Hour Kills, Divinity, Death Toll Rising, and Titan’s Eve) and the new EP is slated to be available August 4th. Russ Gauthier (guitar & vocals) comments:

“We are very excited to share our new EP ‘Nest Of Vipers’ with our fans and peers, but especially the people that haven’t heard us yet. This EP is a huge push forward, in that it showcases our many influences while still keeping the same low tuned groove that our fans have come to expect from us. The songwriting, performances, and production are finally up to our own standards and we are more excited than ever to unleash these heavy tunes for you all to hear!”

Vulture Locust Streaming “We Need To Talk”

Portland, Oregon’s extreme metal destroyers Vulture Locust have returned with “We Need To Talk” – an 11 track promo available for free download.

“We Need To Talk” is the last promotional step before Vulture Locust records a fully mastered, full-on studio record. This self-funded D.I.Y. band didn’t feel the need to let the clock tick away in the meantime, and “We Need To Talk” exacts revenge on the stagnant, sleepy, image-obsessed scenester hypnotism now clogging the arteries of the global underground. Vulture Locust occupies the stage and victimizes the audience, fueling infinite petrol to the worldwide riot.
