Karkaos Unleash New Music Video “Tyrants”

Montreal’s melodic death metal act Karkaos is proud to unleash their new music video “Tyrants” off their latest offering “Children of The Void” featuring new vocalist Viky Boyer, drummer Justine Ethier (Blackguard) and lead guitarist Samael Pelletier along with collaborations with guest artists Lindsay Schoolcraft (Cradle of Filth) and Morgan Lander (Kittie).

The bands comments:

“Karkaos is extremely proud to release its new video for the song ‘’Tyrants’’. This new video crafted by JP Charlebois, known for his work with Ion Dissonance and Slaves On Dope, is the perfect visual vessel to bring this song to your screen by being as brutal, relentless and intricate as the song itself.

We felt that Tyrants was the perfect song to give a second and different look to Children Of The Void. Its powerful meaning can easily be applied to our world and the weird times we all seem to be going through. We need to remember that we will always be stronger united than divided and this song is a testament to people taking the lead when our leaders couldn’t. Make sure to watch it and share it with your friends and pick up a copy of the album or some merch if you enjoyed it.”

Hark Calls It Quits After Seven Years As A Band

After an EP and two albums between 2010 and 2017, Wales-based stoner outfit Hark has called it quits. Read Hark’s full statement below:

“After seven years of hard work, commitment, sweat and toil, and of course some irreplaceably great times together – we’re glad to share with you that Hark has now come to it’s logical and final conclusion. While we’re immensely proud of ‘Machinations’ and everything that we’ve achieved since it’s release this year, we collectively feel that this is the furthest point that we can take this band. From releasing the ‘Mythopoeia’ 7” along with our first show at Morrowfest in 2012, through to touring with Clutch and shortly after releasing ’Crystalline’ in 2014, and throughout all subsequent tours and lineup changes, it’s fair to say that each member has been lucky enough to take everything that they wanted from being in this band.”

“While we respect any outsider or fan/supporter who might question this decision, let’s just say that being in a band isn’t always the easiest of endeavours. External, personal situations, interpersonal dynamics and personalities, fatigue on/of the road, maintaining relationships and family commitments, weaving in and out of the pitfalls of the music industry, all the while maintaining creative flow, and personal happiness.…it’s certainly no picnic. Hark was formed with two main reasons, to investigate creating music with new and different people, and to simply tour more.

We absolutely achieved all of the above, and are extremely proud of all our achievements. Ending this now will preserve our friendships and our modest legacy with little to no collateral damage. We’d like to thank every good soul and friend that we’ve come across on this journey. Thank you so much to all of our co-conspirators that we’ve worked closely with on the albums, videos and tours, and thank you to all the fans and supporters we’ve picked up along the way. Our merch is still available from our store, so head over and grab the last ‘Machinations’ Silver edition LPs, and remaining T-shirts while you can. This page will remain active, and any future developments from any Hark members will be shared here.

Thank you,

JBI.

Hark 2017: Jimbob Isaac, Simon Bonwick, Joe Harvatt, Tom Shortt.”

Eryn Non Dae. Signs With Debemur Morti Productions

Debemur Morti Productions is extremely proud to announce the signing of adventurous French band Eryn Non Dae. The band comments:

“We always felt that our previous labels signed us without really knowing what the band was all about. This resulted in some discomfort on both sides. Something new and exciting is coming with our agreement with Debemur Morti Productions.

“Regarding what they have done since 2003, we feel that we share a common vision about what a record can be, a work of passion, time and dedication. This is what Eryn Non Dae. had been about since day one. Creating the new album has been a strange journey and we are excited and very impatient to embrace a new era with Debemur Morti Productions!”

“Much like our last record, we really tried to be diverse and establish a different mood for each song. You’ll see that same ideology is very present with ‘Vicious World‘. ‘Thorns‘ is the love child of Marilyn Manson and Advent, a song you can move and bang your head to, and just a small taste of how far we pushed ourselves on this new record. It’s been quite some time since MCMB has released music, and we’re extremely proud and excited for you all to bounce along with us to this song.”

01 – “XeN0”
02 – “Act I: Elysium 77”

TesseracT vocalist Dan Tompkins states: “This behind the scenes video highlights our depth of collaboration; creatively we feel this is one of our best works. On first contact with Blacktide we knew that we had found the right team. The video was shot over four different locations scattered across the UK. Tesseract Announces Tour Edition Of “Polaris” With Bonus “Errai” CD

To coincide with TesseracT touring the U.S. alongside Gojira in September/October (see full dates here), Kscope will be releasing a 2 disc tour edition of the “Polaris” studio album on September 16th.

The new 2016 edition of “Polaris” will be released with bonus second disc “Errai,” which features four re-worked tracks: “Survival,” “Cages,” “Tourniquet,” and “Seven Names.” The tracks have been re-imagined by the band’s long time live producer and sound engineer Aidan O’Brien.

He says on being asked to work on the project: “I’ve been lucky enough to contribute to various bits of TesseracT material since the ‘Perspective’ EP back in 2012, but it was a thrill and an honour to be asked to have a much more involved role in working on reimagining four of the tracks from ‘Polaris.’ Being given the chance to offer my interpretations of the songs at the core of these wonderfully nuanced and complex arrangements, as well as the chance to work closely with such talented musicians, was hugely exciting and I’m extremely proud of the results. It’s still unmistakably TesseracT, but from an angle I think a lot of people won’t have heard before.”

TessaracT vocalist Dan Tompkins comments: “It’s been fantastic to re-visit & re-work the vocals to some of the ‘Polaris’ tracks from a different angle and with the benefit of time and space. The normal process of writing TesseracT songs starts with the creation of the music followed by the lyrical content; this time Acle and Aidan have stripped away the music and re-created the songs based around the vocals. As a result this has allowed much more breathing space between both and also highlighted much more detail in the performance.”

The “Polaris” tour edition will be released as a 2 CD set, with “Errai” being released as a stand-alone 180g heavyweight clear vinyl with enclosed download code. Pre-order starts on May 27th, 2016.

Astronoid Signs With Blood Music To Release New Album

Astronoid just inked a record deal with Blood Music to release a new album next year. The label comments:

“Blood Music is extremely proud to present to its roster – Astronoid! The astronomically-themed ‘dream thrash’ Boston five-piece twists through intense tremolo-picked galaxies, condensing soundscapes from a wide variety of artists – Alcest, Devin Townsend, deafheaven, Dragonforce – to a single and very unique core.

“With two acclaimed EPs under their belt, the band has been hard at work on their debut album for more than two years. Nearing completion, the record considerably ups the ante on the band’s previous material, bringing in a gloss of soaring major key atmospheres alongside constant, intense, galactic shredding – eliciting something so familiar yet so unique.

“The record is in fact so accessible, yet like nothing I’ve ever heard before. The band’s debut album is in the final mixing, mastering, and layout stages and will be ready for an early 2016 release through Blood Music.”
