George Kollias Signs With Season Of Mist To Release “Invictus”

Season of Mist is proud to announce the signing of George Kollias: the exceptional Greek drum progeny and Nile sticksman will release his debut solo album “Invictus” through this label deal on May 18th (one day later in North America), 2015. Pre-sales will start next month.

George Kollias comments: “I am extremely happy to be a part of the Season of Mist family and so excited for the release of my first album! I strongly feel this is going to be a very successful and productive cooperation between me and this label with a common goal: to deliver the best music we can to all of you out there! I would like to thank everyone at Season of Mist for all their support and for helping me with the release of my first album. It means a lot to me and I will make sure to work even harder for more great music for all of you!!”

Regarding “Invictus,” the drummer also had this to say: “This solo project contains exactly what the word ‘solo’ describes: one musician writing all music and lyrics as well as performing all the instruments, while inviting some guests to join. At first I composed some songs in order to support my 2 drum DVDs, but thanks to the support and demand from all the fans out there it turned into a full album over time.

“I can honestly say, the only reason I have recorded this album is the fans asked for this to happen. I am happy that I did it and more excited than ever for the future of this project! I enjoyed recording it more than anything. I have got some great plans for my project. I want to get out there and play this album live as soon as possible too! I also had to pleasure to have some really important guests, which made this album even more special to me. I guarantee that this is only the beginning!!”

The Skull Recruits New Guitarist Chuck Robinson

There is now more “Trouble” for The Skull – the band featuring original Trouble members vocalist Eric Wagner and drummer Jeff “Oly” Olson alongside Trouble’s longtime bassist Ron Holzner and Sacred Dawn guitarist Lothar Keller – as the group has now recruited former Trouble bassist Chuck Robinson as a new guitar player.

Jeff Olson comments: “We are excited and honored that Chuck Robinson has accepted our invitation to join the band. He is the perfect fit for The Skull.

“I’ve always enjoyed rehearsing with Chuck as he is disciplined with his art. He’ll surely bring a bonus to the band with his experience as a former Trouble member and as a seasoned musician who utilizes both his talented song writing ability and his exceptional recording skills. We are looking forward to tour with our brother again.”

Olson added: “Chuck is more then a bass player. He grew up playing guitar with his father, also a very talented guitarist. Eric, Ron, Lothar, and myself know that Chuck is more than capable for the job. He’ll bring chops with a heavy groove to our debut album, as well as bring his charisma to the stage.”

You can also see the band live:

May 09 – Cleveland, Ohio – The Grog Shop
May 10 – Chicago, Illinois – Reggies
August 29 – Montreal, Canada – The Wings of Metal Festival

Delain Unveils Album Artwork And Track Listing For "We Are The Others"

Dutch symphonic metal band Delain has unveiled the album artwork and track listing for the forthcoming LP “We Are The Others,” the band’s third studio release. No release date has been announced.

The band had the following comments in the most recent update on the release: “We are very proud to reveal the cover artwork and track listing of our third studio album ‘We Are The Others.’ As you might expect from us this album again offers some interesting collaborations, both in musical and visual terms. This record features none less then Fear Factory shouter Burton C Bell as a guest singer, and visual artist Glenn Arthur provided the cover artwork.

“Next to the title track ‘We Are The Others,’ the track listing below also reveals the song ‘Where Is The Blood’ featuring Burton C Bell (FEAR FACTORY). We met Burton at the Wacken Open Air festival a year ago and stayed in touch afterwards. When we were working on “Where is The Blood” we didn’t hesitate to contact him for cooperation. He’s done such an amazing job on the song turning the song into a most violent duet; his exceptional, raw voice fits perfectly to this song!

“The cover artwork was created by Glenn Arthur, a California based visual artist whose work is inspired by art nouveau design and steampunk imagery. Charlotte is a big admirer of Glenn’s work and she dedicated multiple blogs to his art. For the artwork of We Are The Others, we gave Glenn the lyrics to the song as inspiration. We’re incredibly happy with how the cover turned out. For more info on Glenn Arthur, check out his Facebook.

“We are very proud to have Burton and Glenn aboard on our album!

“The release date of We Are The Others is yet to be announced, keep checking this website for more news. The first show where we will play our brand new material live will be announced this Monday!”

The track listing for “We Are The Others” is as follows:

1. Mother Machine
2. Electricity
