Gruesome Debut New NSFW Music Video For “Fatal Illusions”

Gruesome debut another new music video, the latest being more of a statement against mass shootings. The video is for their song “Fatal Illusions”. June 01st stands as the release date for the group’s new effort, “Twisted Prayers“, through Relapse Records.

Comments the band’s vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey (also of Exhumed) of the NSFW clip:

“‘Fatal Illusions‘ is a track that was truly co-written by Dan, Gus and myself musically and it was a lot of fun to arrange everyone’s riffs while we put the song together. One of the coolest things about this new record, for me personally, is that the writing has become more and more of a team effort, which is invigorating and keeps things interesting for us.

When looking at ‘Spiritual Healing‘ for inspiration, one of the more depressing realizations that I came to as far as the lyrics, was that many of the topics that Death were addressing back in 1990 are still major issues today. As everyone knows, mass shootings have reached epidemic proportions in this country and we felt that it was a very ‘death metal’ appropriate topic to tackle.

This tune is more about the delusions that lead someone to commit this kind of violence; the mindset that would make someone take such a drastic and tragic course of action. Before anyone starts projecting their own politics on the song, this is not an anti or pro-gun song. This is an anti-mass shooting song. And if you think that there’s anything controversial about that, you can fuck right off.”

Neurotic November Streaming New Rap Metal Track “On The Come Up”

Neurotic November has released “On The Come Up,” a no-holds-barred track taken from category-defying sophomore release, “Fighting Words,” arriving next week on September 18, 2015.

“’On The Come Up’ is about focusing and turning your dreams into reality,” explains bassist Bear. “There are a lot of people in life who will try and knock you down with their words, everyone knows a ‘hater.’ Avoid them, and keep doing what you do. Roach (guitar), and our producer came up with the idea to have a track where vocalist Dee Dee raps all the way through. He wanted Nig (guitar) on the verse as well, and I wanted in on the idea! It’s the trifecta of 3 different struggles with one main focus. We’re on the come up 2K15!”

See Neurotic November live on these upcoming dates:

Sept 11 – Pittsburgh, PA @ Mr. Roboto Project
Sept 12 – Perrysburg, OH @ Clearwater Quarry
