Evocation Releases “Condemned To The Grave” Video

Next week (March 10th), Evocation will celebrate a return to death metal with new full-length album “The Shadow Archetype.” For a preview of the album, a new video for the track “Condemned To The Grave” can be viewed below.

Evocation’s Marko Palmen (guitar) comments: “The video for ‘Condemned To The Grave’ was shot with Greenworks Television on the 4th of February at a deserted house in the small village of Golingstorp, Sweden. The deserted house was actually something that we found through a friend who specialized in photographing deserted buildings.

“According to villagers the house has been deserted for at least 30 years. It’s a beautiful house and the ageing has perhaps added even more character to the house. The day of the video shoot was freezing… But it added a special eerie feeling since there is a small layer of snow in the landscape, and on many of the shots with the actors you can see their breaths in the air. The end result became quite spectacular (not for the weak hearted I might add…), and we all hope you enjoy the video for ‘Condemned To The Grave!’

“Huge thanks to Greenworks Television and all involved in the making of the video for ‘Condemned To The Grave’; Rene U Valdes (Director), Johan Falklind (Camera), Ida Johansson (Actor), Anders Olsson (Actor), Gustaf Jorde (Screenplay & Actor), Thomas Josefsson (Actor), Simon Exner (Actor), Marko Palmen (Actor), Farideh Javanbakht (Make-Up) & Maria Bexdal (Make-Up)!”

Aenimus Posts New Lyric Video For "Inertia"

San Francisco/North Bay unit Ænimus has unleashed a lyric video for the track “Inertia,” taken from the band’s forthcoming debut album. Check out the video below. The lyric video for “Inertia” was put together by Ænimus guitarist Sean Swafford, who commented:

“I am extremely excited to release this lyric video for our song ‘Inertia.’ The idea behind the video is mainly based on the song’s lyrical content. I really wanted to do something different from a lot of the lyric videos that I’ve seen. I wanted to try to visualize the lyrics, so I decided to go with a video that looks more realistic as opposed to most lyric videos that are primarily abstract. This was probably the most difficult video I have worked on so far, due to the tedious work involved with creating the clouds. Being able to finally see the end result, it was definitely worth the time and effort that went into it.

“Since joining Ænimus, I’ve been doing my part to help to make us as self sufficient as possible. Everyone in this band does something extra on top of contributing to the writing process and continually practicing to improve their skill sets on their respective instrument. In this day and age (in the music business), bands need to learn to wear multiple hats to survive; especially in the metal music scene. It’s definitely a lot of work, and we’re doing our best to stay on top of it. Anyhow, please do enjoy the video.”

Ænimus is currently wrapping up the recording process for the debut album at NB Recording in Santa Rosa, CA with Producer Nick Botelho (Deadly Remains, The Kennedy Veil). An official release date has not been set. The as-yet-untitled album will have the following track listings:

I. Asherah’s Hourglass
II. The Awakening
III. The Grasp of Ruin
IV. Masterpiece
V. Descent Into Chaos
VI. Black Malice Construct
VII. Black Malice Alchemy
VIII. Thrive
IX. Heavy Lies the Crown
X. Inertia
XI. Convictions
XII. The Final Delirium
