Wovenwar premieres video for new single, “Lines In The Sand”, via Billboard.com

– October 18th, 2016 –

Exclusive interview with guitarist Nick Hipa!

This Friday (October 21st), Wovenwar will release their sophomore album, Honor Is Dead, via Metal Blade Records. More aggressive and fluid than its self-titled predecessor, Honor Is Dead was written with contributions from all members, while the music for Wovenwar was mostly written before vocalist Shane Blay joined the band. The results speak for themselves, capturing a group that sounds truly unified, and hungry.

To watch the video for the new single, “Lines In The Sand”, please visit Billboard.com – where an exclusive interview with guitarist Nick Hipa can also be read.

For another preview of Honor Is Dead, head over to metalblade.com/wovenwar – where a drum play-through for “World On Fire” can be viewed, and the track “Censorship” can be streamed. The record can also be pre-ordered at metalblade.com/wovenwar in the following formats:

–CD
–limited edition CD/DVD (Europe – 5000 copies only!)
–box-set (limited to 600 copies!)
–180g black vinyl
–Steel-grey marble vinyl (limited to 300 copies!)
–Clear/black marble vinyl (EMP exclusive – limited to 200 copies!)
*an exclusive t-shirt bundle, plus digital options are also available!

For Honor Is Dead, Wovenwar chose not to converge at the same studio to lay down the record, taking advantage of modern technology instead by recording their individual parts in convenient locales across California, Alabama and Texas – which was not without its downsides. “Recording separately across multiple states at different times with a mixing engineer bouncing between multiple countries made things very tricky,” guitarist Nick Hipa admits. “Luckily we’ve all made records before and everything ended up working out.” Expanding upon the ruthlessly catchy melodies and hooks of their debut, Honor Is Dead makes for a listening experience with real depth, and a broad emotional range. Driven by a darker lyrical theme, the album’s 11 tracks hit with devastating force – see below for the official track-listing!

Honor Is Dead track-listing
1. Confession
2. Censorship
3. Honor Is Dead
4. Lines in the Sand
5. World on Fire
6. Compass
7. Stones Thrown
8. Cascade
9. Silhouette
10. Bloodletter
11. 130

Ion Dissonance To Release New Album “Cast The First Stone”

From Montreal, Canada, Ion Dissonance was one of the creators and refiners of a sound in the mid-’00s that was equally brutal, technical, and rich with pit-friendly grooves.

Along with French Canadian countrymen Despised Icon and U.S. bands like The Red Chord, Ion Dissonance mixed dizzying math and earthquaking heaviness into a vibe that served as a gateway for the deathcore boom that followed. Between 2003 and 2010, the band released four albums and toured the world.

Now in 2016, Ion Dissonance is set to return with its fifth album, “Cast the First Stone,” to be released November 18th on Good Fight Music. Check out new song “Treading on Thin Ice” below.

Ion Dissonance frontman Kevin McCaughey offers this statement: “First and foremost, we are excited that we inked a new record deal with Good Fight Music. For those who know us well it is certainly no secret that our band has encountered its fair share of obstacles through this 15-year journey, leading us to remain inactive for the better part of the last six years. With that being said, we look forward to a fresh start, and couldn’t ask for a better fit than the relationship established with the Good Fight family. The professionalism, dedication, support and hard work going into this record is so much moe positive than our previous experiences thus far.

“On a side note, we are beyond stoked to finally share with our fans the songs we’ve been working on for some time now. For the occasion we reserved some of the hardest hitting grooves you’ve heard from us to date. With Antoine [Lussier, Ion Dissonance guitarist] at the helm of production once again, we made sure to include a little bit of everything on this one. Cast the First Stone is a solid mix of all the essential elements you would expect to hear from us, with some new twists added. This is the next chapter in the Ion Dissonance discography and we are far from finished.”

Stand by for more details about “Cast the First Stone.” You can also catch Ion Dissonance live on these upcoming tour dates:

Revocation launches new video for “Arbiters of the Apocalypse”; kicks off Summer Slaughter tour

– July 25th, 2016 –

After releasing their sixth full-length, Great Is Our Sin, last week, Revocation is now launching a new video for the album track “Arbiters of The Apocalypse”! Directed by David Brodsky (davidsbrodsky.com) and produced by Allison Woest, the clip can be viewed at: metalblade.com/revocation – where the record can be purchased in various formats.

For another preview of Great Is Our Sin, please visit soundcloud.com, where the album is streaming in its entirety.

Reuniting with producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Bleeding Through), who also helmed 2014′s Deathless and 2012′s Teratogenesis EP, Great Is Our Sin packs the requisite punch, yet retains the organic feel with which it was conceived. Known for their technical prowess, the band remained dedicated to upping the ante without ever losing sight of the importance of good songwriting. Whilst the lineup has changed over the ten years Revocation has been in existence, Dave Davidson’s (guitars / vocals) passion has never waned, and they are arguably sounding better than ever as they look toward the future. “We can’t wait to bring these songs out on the road and perform them for different audiences all over the world,” Davidson comments. “Great Is Our Sin‘ is a new chapter for the band, and collectively we feel that it is our defining record to date.
