A Breach Of Silence Posts “Broken” Music Video

Australian act A Breach Of Silence just premiered a music video for “Broken.” This is the second video clip from upcoming studio album “Secrets” – check it out below.

“’Broken’ was written about depression, what it feels like at your lowest” states guitarist Mat Cosgrove. “While we were writing this album, our bassist Blair broke up with his girlfriend and it really tore him apart.”

Bassist Blair Layt continues, “it reflects a time in my life when I was the most depressed I’ve ever been. I just broke off an emotionally abusive relationship and my thick skin had been worn thin over its duration. I was suicidal, depressed and defeated. For a short time, I turned to drugs to numb the pain. I shut people out, and I almost forgot what it was like to be happy. Luckily, through the amazing support of friends and family, I managed to pull myself together, and take steps to better my state of mind, and return to the positive place I like to revel in. Looking back now, this song is a reminder for me of how far I’ve come since then. I hope that any of our fans feel those vibes when listening, and hopefully they may learn through my experience… that no matter how low you are, life can always get better if you allow it to… even if you think it can’t.”

New album “Secrets” was produced by Fredrik Nordstrom (Bring Me the Horizon, Arch Enemy, In Flames) and mixed by Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman. It will be released worldwide via Eclipse Records on February 24th, 2017.

A Breach Of Silence Reveals “Secrets” Album Details

Powercore metal group A Breach Of Silence has revealed the cover artwork, track listing, and details for third studio album, “Secrets.”

The album was produced by Fredrik Nordstrom (Bring Me the Horizon, Arch Enemy, In Flames) and mixed by Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman. It will be released worldwide via Eclipse Records on February 24th, 2017.

“This album was approached differently than the last two albums Freddy and Henrik did for us,” says guitarist Cossie. “They flew down here to meet up with us the day after Christmas of 2015, and over the next twenty days we tracked the entire album here in Australia. Afterwards, they brought the stems back to Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden. Over the next three months, they were consistently sending us various mixes of the album for us to check out. Once the album was done, the staff at Eclipse Records began getting familiar with the material and we started talking about possible singles for the album. By June of 2016, we all had a game plan in place and began shooting videos for the first three singles.”

Confirmed song titles are as follows: “Falling Away,” “Ride or Die,” “Undefeated,” “Secrets,” “Nightcrawler,” “Fair Weather Friends,” “Buzz Killington,” “The Revelator,” “A Better Place,” “Broken,” “Shameless” (cover of The Weeknd), “Dethroned,” and “Sugar and Spice.”

Mindshift Signs Deal With Eclipse Records

Eclipse Records is happy to announce the signing of melodic death metal outfit Mindshift. The label comments:

“Mindshift is a Swedish melodic metal band which was founded in 2006 by guitarist Johan Lund. Over the years, the band went through various lineups (as most bands in their early stages do), and finally released their debut album ‘No Regrets’ in early 2012. For Johan however, the original lineup never reached its full potential.

“That all changed in the fall of that year when singer Marcus Mao Uggla (who played bass in Blowsight at the time) joined the band on vocals. It was the moment when Mindshift took things to a new level. They quickly began writing new material, and a new era of Mindshift began.

“By April of 2013, Mindshift entered Soundfraction Studios, and recorded the four song EP ‘Evilution,’ which would define the band’s direction and musical vision well into the future. A few months after releasing the EP, Mao and Johan recruited drummer Fabien Fabbe Perreau (also from Blowsight), and the band recorded their five song EP ‘In Time,’ which was released in January of 2014.

“Later that year, in the Fall of 2014, Mindshift began recording songs for their second full-length album, ‘Horizon’ and finally in the Fall of 2015 after finishing the album and performing dozens of shows, the band caught the attention of Eclipse Records.”

On the signing, vocalist Mao says, “I’m proud to be a part of the Eclipse Records family. Having worked with them before, I know that they always give one hundred percent to their artists, and that’s so hard to find in a label these days.”

Guitarist Johan continues, “We’re all looking forward to working with a label that’s actually as passionate about the music as we are.”

Eclipse label head Chris Poland also says: “I’ve become a huge fan of Mindshift over the past six months, and I really think this band offers a fresh perspective on melodic metal, and they have huge potential to be the next big thing outta Sweden. All of us here at Eclipse are thrilled to be working with the band!”

Saint Diablo Discusses New Album “Devil Horns And Halos”

Saint Diablo is currently offering a free download of “Dark Horse,” taken from the forthcoming second studio album “Devil Horns and Halos,” which will be released worldwide via Eclipse Records on November 13, 2015.

The album was produced by Tim “Rumblefish” Gilles (Anthrax, ill Nino, The Misfits), and the free song may be downloaded at this location (email registration required).

Saint Diablo also just posted a video interview with members of the band discussing “Devil Horns and Halos,” available below. Guitarist Justin Adams states: “We were on cloud nine, working with a well-known producer in a world-class recording studio. Tim’s approach to capturing our sound was so inspirational, and then life threw us some pretty significant detours… I got divorced, and shortly thereafter I was diagnosed with cancer.”

Vocalist Tito Quinones elaborates, “He was faced with some difficult decisions, and the lyrics for ‘Survive This’ were written about him. I was impressed with how he balanced the pain, faced his mortality, and was still able to write and perform some of the most powerful music that’s ever come out of him.”

A Breach Of Silence Posts “There Will Be Blood” Video

Eclipse Records and A Breach of Silence have unleashed a music video for the song “There Will Be Blood.” The video was directed by Caleb Graham, produced by David Wayland (Parkway Drive), and filmed near Byron Bay & Lennox Heads in NWS, Australia.

The video begins as a bank robbery in progress by the band wearing masks portraying U.S. presidents, Saddam Hussein, and Pope Benedict. A high-speed chase ensues on a deserted road throughout Byron Bay, where the thieves start disagreeing over how the loot should be divided amongst them. Chaos ensues on the Cliffs of Lennox Heads, as the band begins fighting on the edge of the cliffs, risking their lives over the stolen money in the briefcase. There’s only one way to find out how this ends, and that’s to watch the video below.

“In life you are faced with tough issues and you need to face them head-on if you want to succeed,” states guitarist Mat Cosgrove. “The lyrics – There will be blood (meaning there will be pain) but no remorse (push through to achieve and get on with it) essentially reflect what the song is about.”

Bassist Blair Layt continues, “The video basically shows that we have robbed a bank. We all start to get greedy and fight. In that moment, we are on top of the world achieving crazy big things, but it can fall down so easily over just one little thing.”

A Breach of Silence recently wrapped up production for a debut full-length album entitled “Dead or Alive,” which will be released on October 1st by Eclipse Records (Mushroomhead, Scum Of The Earth, Bobaflex). The album was produced by Fredrik Nordstrom and Henrik Udd (Bring Me The Horizon, Opeth, In Flames, Arch Enemy).
