Origod Inks Deal With Argonauta Records

Born in Torino during the past decade and formed by Vincenzo Circosta – vocals, Dario Chiadini – guitars, Marco Miglietti – bass guitars, Luciano Cotta – drums, Origod released their first album in 2010, that received much praise by the underground community thanks to its unique blend of sonorities like Mastodon and Isis meets At The Drive In.

The band is currently working on the final touch of their new album “Solitude in Time and Space”, that marks an important evolution of their sound, now full of groove and melody for a stunning post-core assault. Origod “Solitude from Time and Space” will be released on CD/DD by Argonauta Records and available by early 2018.

Accuser announces new album, ‘The Mastery’

– November 21st, 2017 –

Releases video for first single, “Mission: Missile”

German Thrash legends Accu§er will release their new album, The Mastery, on January 26th via Metal Blade Records! Accu§er comments: “2017 has been quite busy for us, as we wanted to come back with a bang and to present you a more than decent follow up to ‘The Forlorn Divide‘. For us, ‘The Mastery‘ is the essence of what Accu§er is all about. It definitely feels like the angry newborn child of ‘Who Dominates Who‘ and ‘Repent‘. We just hope all you thrashers out there are going to enjoy this record as much as we do!”

Fans can watch the video for the first single, “Mission: Missile”, at: metalblade.com/accuser – where the album can also be pre-ordered in the following formats:

–jewelcase-CD
–180g black vinyl
–aubergine marbled vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 200 copies)
–black purple splattered vinyl (EU exclusive – limited to 100 copies)
–pastel pink/violet marbled vinyl (US exclusive – limited to 160 copies)

The Mastery track-listing:
01. Mission: Missile
02. The Real World
03. Solace in Sorrow
04. Time for Silence
05. My Skin
06. Catacombs
07. Mourning
08. Ruthless
09. Into the Black
10. The Mastery

Accu§er has been in a constant songwriting mode during the past year. Combined with the energy and spontaneity from several live shows, the songs came to fruition very quickly. Together with long-time producer Martin Buchwalter, they made the record in the summer of 2017 at well-known Gernhart Studio (Destruction, Tankard and many more). For the band, The Mastery is the missing link between the technical virtuosity of their classic album Who Dominates Who and the more basic, heavy approach of Repent – making it their best album since their comeback in 2008. The Mastery contains all of the elements that define the Accu§er sound: heavy, chunky thrash riffs, aggressive vocals with a touch of melody – in addition to the high class guitar solos by youngster Dennis Rybakowski. When it comes to the lyrical side of their songs, Accu§er still raises their voices to denounce social grievances.

Accu§er line-up:
Frank Thoms – vocals/guitars
Dennis Rybakowski – guitars
Frank Kimpel – bass
Olli Fechner – drums

Svart Crown Inks Deal With Century Media

Century Media Records is very proud to announce the worldwide signing of French death/black metal band Svart Crown. The label had this to say:

“Svart Crown’s previously released albums ‘Ages Of Decay’ (2008), ‘Witnessing The Fall’ (2010) and especially ‘Profane’ (2013) have gained the band a lot of attention as being one of the most interesting and most diverse extreme metal bands rising from the French scene. Impressive musicianship, intricate song-writing and excellent live shows solidified Svart Crown’s reputation as trailblazers of a new breed of blackened death metal.”

Vocalist and guitarist JB Le Bail further comments: “We are really proud to announce our signature with Century Media Records. It’s been a very logical next step for us to go with a worldwide structure. Century Media has a strong foundation and remains one of the top leaders in the extreme music industry. This is a big statement about the band’s ambition and we can say now we have found the best partner to achieve our goal.

“We would like to thank Laurent, Steffie and Alex and Listenable Records, for all the dedicated work they’ve done for us during the past 6 years. The future looks bright, and we are really impatient to unleash our most ambitious effort so far. Be aware!”

Svart Crown’s yet-untitled fourth album will see its worldwide release on March 3rd, 2017. Expect nothing less than a blasphemous and wicked piece of death/black metal art.

Avatar Releases “The Eagle Has Landed” Music Video

Avatar has debuted a new music video for the track “The Eagle Has Landed.” Directed by longtime collaborator Johan Carlén, this official music video comes from forthcoming LP “Feathers & Flesh.”

Vocalist Johannes Eckerström explains: “During the past few months I’ve ended up saying ‘this is our most ambitious work to date’ quite a bit, but this one takes the cake. While still keeping it in the family we’ve created yet a new universe for everyone to get immersed in. A fable is a metaphor to explore the human condition and we’ve taken it one step further, zooming in on one song and what it has to say in and out of itself beyond the frames of the concept of ‘Feathers & Flesh.’

“This is the story of five conmen traveling around the land, selling their snake oil to the easily persuaded people of the soil. Often when we want karma to bite someone’s ass the most, they always seem to get away. It was fun to play the bad guy for once. I think the visuals and our treatment of the classic one take-concept speaks for itself. This is one of those you’ll want to watch over and over again. I know I’m already doing just that. Enjoy!”

New Album Expected From Powerwolf In 2015

German power metal werewolves Powerwolf revealed that the majority of the songwriting for the follow up to “Preachers of the Night” (see review here) has been completed and will be released in 2015.

Guitarist/songwriter/producer Matthew Greywolf posted the following update: “During the past six months we have been secretly busy writing songs for the follow up album to ‘Preachers of the night.’ By now, the major part of the songwriting is finished and we’re right now preparing for the studio work. The recordings will begin in early January and will keep us busy until March. The release is scheduled for summer 2015.

“So, what can you expect? Without revealing too much at this early stage, you can expect an album that’s 100% uncompromising POWERWOLF-stuff.

“There’s songs to go wild to, there’s epic and atmospheric stuff – and a lot of wolfish metal madness in between – and quite a bunch of songs that will be must-plays on any future POWERWOLF liveshow for damn sure. We can’t wait to get this album shaped! We’ll keep you posted!”

Stay tuned…2015 promises to include werewolves.
