Crescent Premiere New Song “Beyond the Path of Amenti” From Upcoming New Album “The Order of Amenti”

Egypt’s blackened death metal band Crescent premiere a new song entitled “Beyond the Path of Amenti”, taken from their upcoming new album “The Order of Amenti”, which will be out in stores February 9th, 2018 via Listenable Records.

Check out now “Beyond the Path of Amenti” below.

Explains the band:

“The heart and soul of The Order of Amenti album resides in the “Beyond the Path of Amenti” track. It represents the key features of the whole album in what it holds of melodies, hooks and aggression. The track unfolds the visions of the afterlife and the grandeur of the Egyptian afterlife mythology encompassed in the divinity and might of the great Anubis. The Hieroglyphs on the walls illustrate the path of death and resurrection, for nothing is as certain as the inevitable justice. We take pride in using, for the first time in metal history, full sentences and verses in real spoken hieroglyphs representing Anubis’ speech! “Beyond the Path of Amenti” is the first part of a trilogy that wholly forms a lyrical epic and musical journey.”

New Album “Into A Dark Divinity” Announced By Mausoleum Gate

Finnish traditional metal act Mausoleum Gate will release the sophomore full length album “Into A Dark Divinity” on September 8th via Cruz Del Sur Records.

The 2014 self-titled debut album was not as much of a revelation as it was a reminder of how vintage metal should be played. Bucking virtually every modern production trend, the Finns greeted audiences with a warm analog production sound, flanked by the star-gazing vocals of V-P Varpula and the classy twin guitar action of Count LaFey and Kasperi Puranen. Critical and fan acclaim soon followed, along with key festival appearances at Keep It True and Muskelrock, with many hailing Mausoleum Gate as one of the most exciting new retro metal bands on the scene.

Three years removed from that debut, the Finns return with the six-song “Into A Dark Divinity.” Capitalizing on the self-titled debut’s majestic sound, Mausoleum Gate harnesses the keyboard-dominated bravado of classic Deep Purple and Rainbow and blends it with the proto metal visions of Manilla Road and early Iron Maiden.

With an increased emphasis on Hammond C3 organ and keyboard interplay (courtesy of bass player Wicked Ischianus), songs such as “Condemned To Darkness” and the lurking “Apophis” augment the high-wire vocals of Varpula, who has further established himself as one of the most distinctive vocalists in traditional metal. The melody-driven “Solomon’s Key” and NWOBHM-nspired “Horns” recall an era where actual songwriting would make or break a band. The graceful closing title track also offers up a new angle from Mausoleum Gate, showcasing lush textures and atmospheric acoustic guitar work.

A must-have for any and all traditional metal aficionados, “Into a Dark Divinity” proves
Mausoleum Gate is one of the scene’s best new true metal torchbearers. Singular, alluring and able to captivate audiences of all varieties, Mausoleum Gate represents a new front in authentic vintage metal. Sophomore slump be damned – Mausoleum Gate are the real deal.

The track listing for the album is:

1. Condemned To Darkness
2. Burn The Witches At Dawn
3. Apophis
4. Solomon’s Key
5. Horns
6. Into A Dark Divinity

All the tracks on the album are re-mixed and re-mastered by the talented Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Grid Productions) to make the songs more cohesive and work as a full-length experience. This album also features Bjorn ‘Speed’ Strid of Soilwork on vocals for the song “D.M.T.”

The band comments: “We’re very proud of our new album! Our dedication to song writing, recording and producing these 12 songs over the past 5 years has been a crazy musical journey and a huge learning experience that we will never forget.

“Our lyrical content and artwork is based on an original science-fiction concept story about a character who wakes up in a random field within an intricate crop circle with no memory of who he is or how he got there. The character is then thrown into a crazy adventure and eventually learns who he is and how to become immortal. There’s so much more to the story but we don’t want to give it all way just yet.”
