Details Of New Album “Terraforming” Posted By Jupiterian

Brazilian act Jupiterian has reemerged with its unique brand of atmospheric sludge/doom metal. The new album “Terraforming” is set for release on November 15th via Transcending Obscurity Records. A preview clip for the album is available at the bottom.

“Terraforming” was recorded at Duna Studios and was mixed by Maurice de Jong (Gnaw Their Tongues) and mastered by Stephen Lockheart (Svartidaudi, Tchornobog, Zhrine). The album artwork was painted by Caue Piloto.

Haunting both musically and aesthetically, Jupiterian delves into subtler, more visceral sounds while retaining their crushing style. Like the dichotomy in the band’s home country, the music too encompasses the stark contrast between the intense and atmospheric bits, sometimes transmuting into a dark ambient form aided by Maurice de Jong of Gnaw Their Tongues. The die has been cast!

The track listing is:

1. Matriarch
2. Unearthly Glow
3. Forefathers
4. Terraforming (Feat. Maurice de Jong)
5. Us and Them
6. Sol

Angelseed Releases “Dancing With The Ghosts” Music Video

“Dancing With The Ghosts,” the brand new cinematic video from Croatian symphonic metal band Angelseed, can be seen below.

The clip was filmed in Zadar by Igor Goic and Kreathia Studio. The storyline is a slightly twisted exploration on the theme of soul cages. The fundamental idea of the storyboard is based on the five elements philosophy in Japanese Buddhism, known as godai, whose elements are Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Void. Opposed to the five elements, there’s a diabolical and materialistic demon queen, the creator of earthly imprisonment.

Drummer Jurica Baljak explains: “It’s a metaphorical journey into the core of personal darkness where each element is found stranded in its own prison. It represents the dichotomy of life and death through the image of acceptance, finding purpose and struggle with demons in search for redemption. This video is about the journey of mankind.”

The “Dancing With The Ghosts” track comes off Angelseed’s “Crimson Dyed Abyss,” which was released in 2015 via Sliptrick Records. Stay tuned for info on a new album, due out in 2018.

Dichotomy Announces “Paradigms” Album Release

Irish tech death outfit Dichotomy will release “Paradigms,” the band’s debut album, this August 14th in physical and digital formats. The following press release was also issued about the band:

“The five piece melodic tech-death metal band hailing from Dublin, Ireland draw influences from bands such as Death, Necrophagist, Gojira and Opeth and was formed in 2010 by guitarists Andy Kealy & Rats with a mind to combine the technicality of death metal with the groove and musicality of other genres. After establishing a lineup in 2010 the band began writing material under the name Dichotomy to suitably describe the contrasting styles used in the music. Summer 2012 bore the fruits of their hard labour as the band took up residence at the world renowned Westland Studios in Dublin to record ‘Paradigms’ with producer Alwyn Walker.”

“Paradigms is about a multiple of things,” comments lead guitarist Steven ‘Rats’ Rahaman. “The 5 of us wanted to get together and write music that we would be happy to listen to ourselves. we all individually have a varied taste in music and style so the music we created had allot of contrast so the name Dichotomy was chosen. The lyrics themselves in Paradigms create a collection of dichotomies. So in a nutshell you could say that ‘Paradigms’ is about the band name which is about the music.”

The track listing is as follows:

01. Empyrean
02. The Sentient Oppressed
03. All – Seeing Eye
04. Polarity
05. No Catharsis
06. Covenant Of The Forsworn
07. Alea Iacta Est
08. …Of Strife Of Discord
