Despotz Records Inks Deal With F.K.U.

Inspired by 80’s thrash bands and horror movies, coupled with old issues of Metal Forces and cheap beer, the mighty Swedish horror metal machine F.K.U. has just signed with Despotz Records and is currently working on an album to be released in late fall.

The band says, “As we prepare to enter the next stage of our ongoing battle for total dominance, we have formed a new alliance to assist us in forcing the world to succumb to horror and metal. We are proud to announce that Despotz Records will be releasing our albums in the future. They are a force to be reckoned with and will take no prisoners. And make no mistake, F.K.Ü. will be back with another horror metal attack late this fall.”

Throughout their three decade long career F.K.U. has shown the world that it’s possible to have good, friendly, violent fun on your way to the nearest mosh pit.

“We give you horror Thrash Metal’s finest, F.K.Ü,” says Despotz Records partner, Omer Akay. “The band celebrates it’s 30th anniversary this year, and we’re honoured to present their fifth album to the world this fall. Mosh til u drop!!”

Despotz Records Signs Sparzanza

Swedish hard rock band Sparzanza can look back on a 20 year long career filled with explosive metal, award nominations, radio airplay and loads of tours and live gigs. The band has made a huge effort and has been looking for the right label to work with further.

“After meeting up with Sparzanza we can definitely say that we’ve found each other.,” says Carl-Marcus Gidlof of Despotz. “Both through innovational thinking, digital media and the fact that we want to work on taking the band to an international level taking advantage of Despotz strong presence both digitally and physically. The band has released seven dark hard rock albums and a double compilation album since 1996. In the recent past Sparzanza have found themselves riding in wake of rock legends and have set their sights on main stages everywhere.

Our crazy ideas get thumbs up and we really feel that we have the possibility to develop Sparzanza towards what we want the band to be and achieve. Despotz Records Signs Linnea Vikstrom’s QFT

Swedish vocalist Linnéa Vikström, best known as one of the vocalists in Therion (along side father Thomas Vikström) has signed a worldwide deal with Despotz Records.

Linnéa says, “I’m really excited to be working together with Despotz and with their help I’ll be sure to present some fantastic music to the world! Just the fact that Despotz is willing to release an album recorded completely live shows how willing they are to break new grounds and think outside of the box. Be ready to venture out deep into the universe as we launch this spacecraft of music!”

Linnéa will work with her solo project under the secret name of QFT. The debut album will be released in November of 2017, with the first, as yet untitled, single hitting the streets in May.

“Imagine if Black Sabbath and Pagan’s Mind gave birth to a starchild, thus QFT is born,” says Despotz’ Omer Akay. “This is the mastermind of Linnéa Vikström. The space journey has just begun.”
