Hate Eternal return with another song from their upoming new full-length “Upon Desolate Sands“. This latest single is entitled “Nothingness Of Being”. “Upon Desolate Sands” will be released on October 26th via Season Of Mist.

Says vocalist/guitarist Erik Rutan of it:

“For years I have wanted to add a heavier and darker element into Hate Eternal. For this album the inspiration came and the heaviness followed. Using a lower tuning then our norm for a few songs on ‘Upon Desolate Sands‘, and going through some personal life experiences helped create a depth of darkness and sense of despair to inspire me to write ‘Nothingness of Being.‘”

In November the band will join up with Cannibal Corpse and Harm’s Way on this U.S. tour.

Details Of New Album “Deliverance From The Godless Void” Posted By Desolate Shrine

Finnish Death Metal trio Desolate Shrine will release the new album “Deliverance from the Godless Void” on November 10 via Dark Descent Records. The album’s opening track, “The Primordial One,” is streaming at the bottom.

It may be Desolate Shrine’s fourth album (third on Dark Descent Records) in six years, but the band shows no sign of fatigue on their newest opus. The band continues to erase the already thin line existing between black, death and doom and once again come out of the abyss with their own instantly recognizable style.

Recorded during 2016 with the same core trio since 2011’s debut Tenebrous Towers, this new beast, while no less epic than its predecessors (three of the seven songs featured here are at over eight minutes long) is even more textured and tortured while at the same time highly atmospheric. And while a track like “Unmask the Face of False” may be the heaviest and slowest they’ve ever done, that doesn’t prevent “Demonic Evocation Prayer” from being transfigured by hellish blast beats either. Still, as with each of their albums, Desolate Shrine’s latest full-length is to be considered like one big entity, almost like a ceremony if you will, one that demands to be experienced from beginning to end without interruption.

The album artwork (shown below) was created by L.L. Dan Lowndes mastered “Deliverance from the Godless Void” at Resonance Sound Studio.

The track listing is as follows:

1. The Primordial One
2. Lord of the Three Realms
3. Unmask the Face of False
4. The Waters of Man
5. The Graeae
6. Demonic Evocation Prayer
7. The Silent Star
8. …of Hell

Contaminated Debuts New Song “Forlorn & Desolate” From Upcoming New Album “Final Man”

Contaminated debuts a new song called “Forlorn & Desolate”, taken from the upcoming new album “Final Man”, which will be out in stores July 7th through Blood Harvest.

Check out now “Forlorn & Desolate” below.

Says band main-man Lachlan McPherson:

“‘Forlorn and Desolate’ was chosen to be re-recorded as it is definitely a track that benefits from a full band playing and tracking it—compare it to its original appearance on Pestilential Decay and you’ll immediately notice how much more savage it is this time around. It also functions well to preserve some of the original overt Finnish (Abhorrence, Demigod) influence this band started with, while certainly borrowing enough from 90s dark US death metal (Incantation, Morpheus Descends) to fit well with the new tracks on the full length.”
