Monument Of Misanthropy Looking For New Guitarist(s) & Bassist

European brutal death metal stronghold Monument Of Misanthropy announce they are looking for new guitarists and a new bass player. European musicians with their own material are being preferred, but it is NOT mandatory. Get in touch with the band via this email: monumentofmisanthropy@yahoo.de or their official bandpage on FB: Monument Of Misanthropy Official Band Site

Explains the inventor of the Monument Of Misanthropy brand-imprint, band founder and frontman George “Misanthrope” Wilfinger:

“Neither will I be using any empty bullshit phrases like “due to artistic differences”, “because of unsurmountable personal differences”, nor will I be washing Monument Of Misanthropy’s dirty laundry in public. Fact is that after the last very successful years, three awesome European tours and two acclaimed releases, for me it feels like I should carry on with a new team of guitarists and bass player. Artists who still have the fire inside to go beyond their limits and with an iron will to produce a brutal new death metal album for Monument Of Misanthropy with me and one of the best drummers out there in the brutal death metal world. People willing to play festivals, to go on tours, even if the fee won’t buy them a Porsche. Musicians who live for the cause. Just sincere, motivated musicians willing to go the extra mile, that’s all I’m asking for. Musicians from Europe and with their own material are preferred, but it’s NO must.”

Monument Of Misanthropy have been recording and touring with drum-gods Romain Goulon (ex-Necrophagist, ex-Benighted), Simon Schilling (ex-Belphegor) and David Diepold (ex-Benighted, Cognizance).

Artillery releases video for third single, “Pain”

– November 8th, 2018 –

November 16th sees Artillery release their new album, The Face Of Fear – which is the successor to 2016′s Penalty By Perception. The Danes have now launched a video for the 3rd single taken off the album – “Pain” – which can be seen here: https://youtu.be/HBtQsvZyquM

Guitarist Michael Stutzer comments: “The story behind ‘Pain’ is a true story, about an alcoholic who was never listening to his friends or family when they tried to make him stop and quit drinking. And when he got to the point where he realized himself, he had to stop – it was too late and there was no way out anymore. The video for ‘Pain’ was recorded in Kolding and Randers by Morten Madsen (MSM production), who also directed our previous videos for ‘Legions’ and ‘Live by the Scythe’.”

The Face Of Fear is the band’s 9th studio album and the third with the current line-up. To hear the previous singles, “The Face Of Fear” and “Crossroads To Conspiracy”, please visit: metalblade.com/artillery – where the record can also be pre-ordered in the following formats:

–ltd. Digipak-CD with 2 exclusive bonus tracks
–180 g black vinyl
–opaque grey blue marbeld vinyl (ltd. 300 – EU-exclusive)
–golden yellow blue marbled vinyl (ltd. 200 – EU-exclusive)
–blue green / white splattered vinyl (ltd. 100 – EMP-exclusive)
–blue/black marbled vinyl (ltd. 300 – US-exclusive)

The lyrics are Artillery as you know them, with subjects concerning the destruction of mankind, double standards, abuse and the looming worst-case scenarios. The Face Of Fear was recorded with long-time producer Soren Andersen at Medley Studios. It’s Soren’s fifth time at the helm, and once again he manages to deliver a monster production. Soren comments: “Pure and raw! Some of the material of this album was originally written in the early 80′s, and that inspired us to go old school this time. Not too many layers, just classic Artillery thrash metal…And Bastholm is better than ever on this one. This is a no-filler album, created together with the band. I’m really proud of the final result and I hope everyone will enjoy it as much as I do!”

The Face Of Fear track-listing:
1. The Face of Fear
2. Crossroads To Conspiracy
3. New Rage
4. Sworn Utopia
5. Through The Ages Of Atrocity
6. Thirst For The Worst
7. Pain
8. Under Water (instumental)
9. Preaching to the converted
10. Mind Of No Return (ltd. 1st ed. bonus track / re-recorded song from Artillery‘s first demo from 1982)
11. Doctor Evil (ltd. 1st ed. bonus track / 2018 version)

Since the last album, Penalty By Perception – which won the band four Danish Metal Awards in 2016 (best album, best band, best production and honorary prize) – Artillery has toured around the world, including Europe, South America and parts of Asia. For the rest of 2018, there will be time for a Denmark tour, plus a release party on High Voltage. 2019 will include tours in Europe, South America and USA. Stay tuned for more news coming soon!

Alkymist Premiere New Song “Djinn” From Upcoming Self-Titled Debut Album

This Friday, Denmark’s progressive doom metal combo ALKYMIST will release its self-titled debut album via Indisciplinarian. Following the first single and video for “Ghost,” the nearly ten minute-long and psychedelically disturbing piece ‘Djinn’ has now been released as the second single from the album.

Stream “Djinn” now below:

“‘Djinn’ plays an important role on the record and in the band’s history,” vocalist Peter Bjørneg states.

“‘Djinn’ was the second song to be completed in the world of ALKYMIST. Along with the track ‘Myling’ it helped to define the band’s musical cosmos and ensured the path that it was going to tread. The lyrics in Djinn revolve around arrogance and greed.”
