Demon Hunter Premiere New Single “Ash”

Demon Hunter share another new song, with their two new albums “War” & “Peace” to be released later today. The latest single is titled “Ash” and comes from the “War” half of the separately released efforts.

Comments singer Ryan Clark :

“‘Ash‘ is a no frills, anthemic onslaught, berating our infatuation with fleeting possessions. It’s a reminder to myself as much as anyone else. I collect pretty much everything I couldn’t afford as a kid: skateboards, shoes, artwork, antiques… you name it. And I love this stuff. Still, I know I can’t ‘take it with me’ as they say.”

“In classic Demon Hunter fashion, we wanted to ensure that ‘War‘ had at least one faster thrash number in the vein of ‘Storm The Gates Of Hell,’ ‘Crucifix,’ or ‘The World Is A Thorn.’ ‘Ash‘ is the resident barn burner track for this album. This was the last song that we’d written for the heavier of these two records, and is the only song written by Patrick, Jeremiah and myself.”

Demon Hunter Premiere New Song & Music Video “On My Side”

Demon Hunter premiere a music video for their track “On My Side“. The group filmed the clip with director Andy Maier, with the track taken from the group’s new record “War“, which will land in stores alongside its separately released companion release “Peace” on March 01st via Solid State Records.

Says vocalist Ryan Clark of the video:

“We tried to keep things straightforward with regards to the overall approach. Though the video is strictly performance, we did have some fun by filming each setup the same way a number of times using different lighting scenarios in each. This meant performing it the exact same way (hand motions, body positioning) over and over, but ultimately allowed us to toggle between looks while maintaining the same general positioning, which gives a really cool effect in the end.”

Demon Hunter Releases “Died In My Sleep” Music Video

Demon Hunter just premiered a video for “Died In My Sleep,” taken from the band’s eighth album “Outlive,” which drops March 31st through a partnership with Solid State Records.

“The video treatment for ‘Died In My Sleep’ was more about an overall vibe than a specific story,” singer Ryan Clark told Loudwire. “The goal was to strip the concept back to strictly performance, but still deliver something visually interesting. Instead of opting for the typical desaturated tones that have become synonymous with metal videos, we pulled inspiration from the vibrant colors found in many of our favorite videos and photographs from the ’90s — namely Nirvana’s video for ‘Heart-Shaped Box’ and the album cover for Alice In Chains’ ‘Facelift.'”

Clark continued, “With sleep being a running theme, we wanted to create a world that seemed unordinary — almost like a computer glitch-laden subconscious. We worked with Belief Agency to built a forest set on an indoor sound stage, and used projectors to cast colors and textures against the background and on the band members. It was a lot of fun to set up and just experiment with these layers.”

2. Jesus Wept

4. Died In My Sleep
