Mekanism Splits With Vocalist Criss Valley

Mekanism has checked in with the following announcement about splitting with the band’s vocalist:

“It saddens us to inform you that we have decided to part ways with lead vocalist Criss Valley on account of creative differences. We thank Criss for the great times and the great music we created together, and wish him the very best of luck in his future endeavors.

“It is time for Mekanism to turn over a new leaf. Rest assured that we are still 100% at work on the debut album.

“We are looking for a new permanent vocalist AND/OR a stand-in singer for a few upcoming gigs this summer. Contact if you or someone you know is interested. We will announce the Ruler of Ashes contest winners shortly. We are sorry for the delay.”

Amoral Reveals “Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows” Release Date

Finnish outfit Amoral has checked in with the following announcement about the release date for a new album:

“The U.K. and European release date for ‘Fallen Leaves & Dead Sparrows’ has been moved to March 31st. We’re sorry for the delay, but this was necessary to ensure that there’ll be enough time for promotion.

“A Japanese release date is also being set as we speak. The Finnish release date is still February 14th, and the album will then also be available digitally for the rest of the world.”

Desecravity Comments On Cancelled Tour Dates

Acrania recently announced the cancellation of the band’s U.K. tour due to Japanese act Desecravity failing to show up for the trek. Now Desecravity has posted the following statement online about the situation:

“We regret to announce that the UK/Euro tour has been canceled because one of our members was denied entry to the U.K. and really apologize the delay announcement, we were detained approximately 3 days and took over 15 hours for return flight, just back to home last night, hope see you sometime soon. Thank you for your support.”

Brent Hinds And Ben Weinman Form Supergroup Giraffe Tongue

The Dillinger Escape Plan’s Ben Weinman and Mastodon’s Brent Hinds have recently formed a new band alongside members of The Mars Volta and Jane’s Addiction.

Formed under the working name of Giraffe Tongue, the band currently has some material written, although there is no information on when the band’s debut album will be released.

Brent Hinds has explained the delay to by saying, “We tried to get together and do an album, but there’s been no time. We want to record crazy stuff and Ben is working on that, but it’s been hard to get together.”
