Currently working on the follow-up to 2015′s The Anthropocene Extinction, Cattle Decapitation has officially welcomed Belisario Dimuzio (Eukaryst; guitar) and Olivier Pinard (Cryptopsy; bass) to their ranks! The band comments: “We’re pleased to announce the new lineup that will appear on our next album due out in fall 2019! Many of you who have come to our shows in the past couple of years have seen that we have had a 2nd guitarist on stage with us for the first time in the band’s existence. We proudly welcome Belisario Dimuzio (from San Diego’s Eukaryst) as a full-time member, and he will appear on the next album! We’re also happy to announce Olivier Pinard (Cryptopsy) as our new bassist, who will be appearing on our next album as well! Oli has filled in on shows with us in the past; the chemistry we have with both him and Bel is undeniable, and we’re excited to have them with us. Be sure to keep an eye out for Cryptopsy‘s next release entitled ‘The Book Of Suffering: Tome 2‘! Also be on the lookout for a HUGE announcement coming Sept. 20th, regarding a super cool Cattle Decapitation release that has been in the works for a decade now! It’s an exciting time for the Decap! Stay tuned!!!”

Cast The Stone’s (Misery Index, Ex-Cattle Decapitation, Etc.) New EP To Be Released In August

Cast The Stone have an August 31st release date planned for their upcoming EP “Empyrean Atrophy” through Agonia Records. The group, who feature guitarist Mark Kloeppel (Misery Index, Scour), bassist Derek Engemann (ex-Cattle Decapitation, Scour), drummer Jesse Schobel (Legend, ex-Scour) and vocalist Andy Huskey, is set to launch a first single from the effort on June 07th.

Comments Kloeppel:

“The band’s sound is a testament to an enduring spirit that’s driven us to return to our most organic influences, merge them together, incorporate disparate elements, and forge our own sound. Each person has a distinct sound unto themselves, so it’s really cool how smooth and cohesive this stuff comes across.

You can immediately hear how different this is from the other things we’ve been involved in, yet it’s still very true to our individual styles. Our bassist Derek progressively weaves my guitars and Jesse‘s uber-creative drumming style together in a way that only he can. This is all crowned off by Andy Huskey’s crazy death metal vocals which are… well, just listen.”

The track listing for the outing will run as follows:

01 – “As The Dead Lie”
02 – “The Burning Horizon”
03 – “Standing In The Shadows”
04 – “A Plague Of Light”
05 – “Empyrean Atrophy”
06 – “Jesusatan”

Cattle Decapitation launches European tour documentary online

– October 19th, 2017 –

This past summer, Cattle Decapitation embarked on a European trek, during which the band filmed a tour documentary, directed by Paul McGuire / Obscenery Films (https://obsceneryfilms.com/). To watch the behind-the-scenes and live footage from Cattle Decapitation on the road, please visit: facebook.com/cattledecapitation, where the video is now streaming live. Fans can also watch on YouTube here: youtube.com/watch?v=CqKmkq_zEl8

Guitarist Josh Elmore comments: “For several years now, fans have been asking the band to release a video chronicle with live performance footage and enhanced or ‘behind the scenes’ documentation. During a recent European run, our friend Paul McGuire of Obscenery Films traveled with the band and captured glimpses of what day-to-day life on the road is like for Cattle Decapitation and spoke with the members as they reflected on years of touring and what their future holds. The result is an entertaining, humorous and informative documentary that shows the band as a live entity and also what goes on during their down time on tour; play-throughs, interviews, concert chaos, Euro-tourism and more. We hope you enjoy it!”

Cattle Decapitation is currently headlining the Metalsucks & Exclaim! Aggressive Tendencies Presents “The North American Extinction Tour Part II: Inhuman Beings”, featuring Revocation, Full Of Hell, and Artificial Brain as support. See below for all dates.
