Mcgalligog Announces New Shows Supporting "Powered By Death" Album Release

Mcgalligog has issued the following announcement about hitting the road to support the physical release of the band’s debut album:

“The physical release of our first album ‘Powered by Death’ is due to take place on the 27/01/12 in Dublin. The tour has been entitled the ‘Chugular Tour.’ We have 3 dates so far around Ireland and are planning on more in the UK towards the summer. Our busy personal lives have led us to being able to only play one gig a month this year. Hopefully 12 in total within the UK and and Ireland initially.”

Death Live Song "Zero Tolerance" Available For Streaming

Revolver Magazine has posted a live version of the classic Death track “Zero Tolerance” online now at this location.

The song appears on the upcoming deluxe live 2CD collection entitled “Vivus!” Compiling two separate Death concerts, each recorded in 1998, Disc One features the band at the height of its prowess tearing the roof off of the infamous Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles while Disc Two is a recording of the band on the festival stage at Dynamo Open Air.

“Vivus!” is set for a February 28th North American release date, March 2nd in the Benelux / Germany, and March 5th in the UK and rest of Europe. “Vivus!” follows the recent Relapse Records re-issues of “Individual Though Patterns,” “The Sound of Perseverance,” and “Human.”

Like those reissues, this collection will contain extensive liner notes from previous members and never-before-seen photos of the band. Pre-order options, including a new line of exclusive Death merch and additional release information can be found here.

Gun Barrel Unveils Album Art And Track Listing For New LP "Brace For Impact"

German traditional metal act Gun Barrel, after just signing with Massacre Records, has unveiled the album art and track listing for the forthcoming album “Brace For Impact,” which is due out on March 23, 2011. The album is the first LP since the 2008 release “Outlaw Invasion” and the first to feature new vocalist Patrick Sühl, who joined the band after the death of Xaver Drexler in March of 2010.

Evocation Signs Deal With Century Media Records

Century Media Records is proud to announce the signing of Evocation, one of the vanguards of Swedish death metal!

Besides a new studio album, Century Media will also release a compilation of the band’s entire demo discography, plus additional footage, comments, liner notes, exclusive artwork and unreleased songs. This currently untitled compilation will be released in summer 2012.

Slow Death Releases New Official Video

Venezuelan technical death metal band Slow Death has released an official video clip for the track “Satiriasis.” This song should be on the band’s third full-length album, “Moscas en Tu Boca,” which the band is in the process of recording right now. Morbus Chron Posts "Mauled To Death" Autopsy Cover

Morbus Chron has posted a cover of Autopsy’s “Mauled to Death” online, which can be heard in the player below. The band also commented:

“While recording ‘Creepy Creeping Creeps’, we decided to do a cover of ‘Mauled to Death’. Seeing how it never got the attention it deserved, we felt it was the right thing to do. Annoyingly enough there wasn’t room for it on the 7”.

“Autopsy just re-recorded the track and reminded us that we had our own version just laying there, unheard. So to celebrate them, here is our take on one of their best songs.”

Dead Samaritan Announces New Album "The Only Good Samaritan…" Details

Finland’s Dead Samaritan will release the band’s first full-length album in the beginning of 2012, to be titled “The Only Good Samaritan…” The album includes 12 tracks, which were recorded, mixed, and mastered under Henri Virsell’s iron hand during October, November, and December of 2011.

Arcane Grail To Release New EP "Tribute To The Past"

Symphonic black metal act Arcane Grail will release the new EP “Tribute to the Past” on December 31st via Grailight Productions. A song off the EP is now available for streaming online. Check out the band’s cover of the Type O Negative track “Love You To Death” in the player below.

The release, which is dedicated to the memory of Peter Steele, was mixed and mastered by Arsafes (Kartikeya) at Arsafes Records and features the following guest musicians: Fedor Vetrov (Nevid, Omela), Belf (Stigmatic Chorus, Ashen Light, Nevid, Izmoroz), Wsegard (Atra Mustum, Emerald Night) and Igor Kiv (famous Russian soundproducer and session guitarist).
