The Psyke Project Performance Footage From Copenhagen Available

Cianide Premieres New Track on Metal-Army.com

Cianide is premiering “Dead and Rotting” today at Metal-Army.com. The track comes from the Chicago death metal band’s new album “Gods of Death,” released via Hells Headbangers.

In addition to a number of splits, demos and compilations, “Gods of Death” marks the sixth studio full-length by Cianide.

Ingurgitating Oblivion Cancels Mountains Of Death Festival Appearance

Ingurgitating Oblivion has checked in with the following brief announcement about canceling the band’s previously announced appearance at the Mountains of Death festival:

“With great regret we have to cancel our gig at the upcoming and final Mountains Of Death. Unforeseen scheduling conflicts made it impossible for us to appear.”

Remastered Version Of Death’s "Lack Of Comprehension" Video Posted Online

A remixed and remastered version of Death’s “Human” record was recently released through Relapse Records to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the album. Relapse Records has now also posted a remastered version of the music video for “Lack of Comprehension” online, which can be viewed below.

White Wizzard Reveals New Album "Flying Tigers" Details

Los Angeles traditional heavy metal act White Wizzard has officially revealed the details for the band’s forthcoming new album, titled “Flying Tigers.” The band’s publicist commented on the sound of the upcoming album:

“‘Flying Tigers’ features twelve new tracks and expands on the band’s traditional heavy metal blueprint, with songs ranging from fist-pumping NWOBHM-style anthems, through the arena rock power of ‘Starchild,’ to a six-track epic concept piece featuring science-fiction and philosophical elements tied together with a progressive vibe.”

Flying Tigers features the core White Wizzard line-up of bassist, songwriter, and founding member Jon Leon, drummer Giovanni Durst, and studio vocalist Wyatt Anderson, who featured on the band’s debut album, “Over the Top.” The album was once again recorded with producer Ralph Patlan in Phoenix, Arizona.

Morta Skuld Premiers "Prolong The Agony" Music Video Online

A video for Morta Skuld’s “Prolong The Agony” track has been posted online now at the Decibel Magazine blog. Head over here to check out the video clip.

The “Prolong The Agony” video was directed by Doug Cook and produced by Eric Greif. “Prolong The Agony” is available now via the new Morta Skuld collection “Through The Eyes of Death” that saw its North American release on July 5th and is also currently available for streaming online.

“Through The Eyes of Death” combines the band’s two 1990 recordings “Gory Departure” and “Prolong The Agony” on one disc, along with previously-unreleased material. The two sessions were produced by Death manager Eric Greif.

Morta Skuld formed in 1990, releasing the first demo tape “Gory Departure” shortly thereafter, and features principal songwriter / guitarist / singer Dave Gregor. The band’s second 3-song demo “Prolong The Agony” came soon after and featured Viogression drummer Jef Jaeger. Both recordings have been remastered for the “Through The Eyes Of Death” collection by Chris Wisco at Belle City Sound.

Morta Skuld’s upcoming collection of early material, “Through The Eyes of Death,” is currently streaming in its entirety through the Morta Skuld Bandcamp page.

“Through The Eyes Of Death” combines the band’s two 1990 recordings “Gory Departure” and “Prolong The Agony” on one disc along with previously-unreleased material. The two sessions were produced by Deathmanager Eric Greif. Morta Skuld is the first band other than Death and Control Denied to be published by Chuck Schuldiner’s Mutilation Music.

“Through The Eyes Of Death” will see its release next Tuesday, July 5th, and is available for pre-order at here, along with a preview of the new Travis Smith artwork.

No Redeeming Social Value Speaks On The Death Of Anal Cunt’s Seth Putnam

New York hardcore outfit No Redeeming Social Value has issued a statement regarding the death of Anal Cunt frontman and founder, Seth Putnam, who died yesterday from a suspected heart attack. The group’s message reads as follows:

“R.I.P. Seth Putnam of Anal Cunt. Truly a sad day it is that we have lost such a tremendous talent. NRSV has enjoyed playing w/ A.C. over the years as they were one of the best, and most revolutionary bands of our time. Never again will we hear/ play ‘Anal Cunt Sucks and They’re All Gay’ w/o thinking of Seth and his awesome talent. See you in Hell my friend!”
