Darkest Hour Announces European Tour Dates And Plans To Launch Their Own Brand Of Ice Cream

Washington, DC-based Darkest Hour will embark on their special East Coast mini-tour next week, which will see the long-running metal quintet headlining with support from some of their hand-picked favorite hometown scene acts.

Darkest Hour will kick off the mini-tour on their home turf in DC on November 13th, followed by shows in Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Brooklyn through November 16th. On all four shows, the band will be joined by iconic hardcore outfit Damnation A.D., blackened punk act Cemetery Piss, hardcore punk outfit Walk The Plank, and new outfit No Man. Just two days after the mini-tour, Darkest Hour traverse the country to take part in The Power Of The Riff on November 18th, performing with Sunn O))), Scream, Xibalba, Xasthur, Papa M, and Entry.

With this tour rapidly approaching, Darkest Hour also announces the first European tour dates of 2019. The newly-announced trek, dubbed Death To False Metalcore, will see the band co-headlining with Unearth, with support from Misery Signals, Malevolence, and Left Behind, and runs from March 21st through April 1st.

Additionally, Darkest Hour has teamed up with Mount Desert Island Ice Cream shop in Washington DC, owned by Dischord Record employees, to create a new signature flavor, Savor The Chill. The band worked diligently to help perfect this amazing blend of dark chocolate and whiskey to perfect the flavor, which is now available through November 22nd. Read more about the shop here.

Dream Theater Reveals New Album “Distance Over Time” Details And Tour Dates

American progressive metal legends Dream Theater has announced that the name of their new album is “Distance Over Time” and fans can expect the record to drop in February, though no specific release date has been given yet. The band has also revealed the front cover artwork for the release, as well as posting a thirty second audio preview, both of which can be seen below.

Queensryche Reveals Details For New Album “The Verdict”, Announces U.S. Tour With Fates Warning

Progressive metal legends Queensryche has announced that they will be releasing a new album on March 1st through Century Media Records entitled “The Verdict.” The record was produced, mixed, and mastered by Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Iced Earth, Hatebreed) at Uberbeatz in Lynwood, WA, Planet-Z in Wilbraham, MA and Watershed Studio in Seattle, WA. “I’m extremely proud of what we were able to accomplish on this record,” states Queensrÿche vocalist Todd La Torre about The Verdict. “The relentless dedication and hard work of everyone involved has been very rewarding. To support The Verdict, Queensrÿche have also announced their spring US headline tour today with special guests Fates Warning. The Cringe will be joining both bands on select dates. The tour will kick off on March 2nd in Orlando, making stops in major markets such as New York, Atlanta, Chicago, and Los Angeles, and will wrap on April 3rd in Seattle. Dokken To Record New Album, Announces Californian Shows

In a recent interview with Albany, NY radio station Q103, Dokken’s eponymous frontman Don Dokken revealed that the band will begin writing and recording a new album this Winter, most likely beginning in December and intend to release the effort in the Spring. In addition to this, the band has announced four shows in California, stating:

“CALIFORNIA!! November is ALL about you! Join us for 4 Southern California shows!”

Annihilator Frontman Jeff Waters Explains Tour Postponement

Annihilator mastermind Jeff Waters has posted a video online explaining that the band has been forced to postpone their upcoming tour dates tour dates. The statement accompanying the video reads:

“So, I have been quiet about the passing of one of our previous and legendary singers, Randy Rampage, and as well about the upcoming headline tour(ing) next month,” says Annihilator frontman Jeff Waters.

“Hopefully, this video will explain the silence, why current tour dates are postponed and hint to you about new dates coming to you on Tuesday. On an unrelated note, construction on Watersound Studios UK (Durham, UK) is coming along nicely and will be a dream come true. Love to my Canadian family and love to my new UK family!”

Ross The Boss Announces UK Tour Dates With Uproar

Former Manowar guitarist Ross The Boss and his eponymous band will be heading to the United Kingdom this October for a string of headlining shows in support of their latest album, “By The Blood Sworn,” which was released this year through AFM Records.
