Cut Up releases video for “Behead the Dead”

– April 27th, 2017 –

Confirmed for Summer Breeze festival 2017

Just one month ago, Swedish death metallers Cut Up released their sophomore album, Wherever They May Rot, worldwide via Metal Blade Records! Today, the band has released a new video for the album track “Behead The Dead”, which can be viewed at: youtube.com/watch?v=OxLjYNBOWlw

Cut Up guitarist/vocalist Andreas Bjornson comments: “The time has come to deliver a new video upon thee and we’re going all in on the Deathgrind with ‘Behead The Dead’! Working once again with our Arvika film crew we have created a suiting old-school VHS-like video for this unrelenting song. The lyrics describe the action plan for a corpse that simply will not rest and fits the music accordingly. Turn the stereo all the way up to eleven and blast shit to bits! Our brand new album, ‘Wherever They May Rot‘, is out NOW worldwide through Metal Blade Records!”

With an impressive collective past in the extreme side of metal and the ambition to blaze the trail of musical violence, Cut Up has come to claim the throne. Combining grinding death metal with a modern approach and high musicianship, yet always with key focus on brutality, these Swedes are notorious for bringing the gore wherever they go. Cut Up launches new video for “Vermin Funeral”

– March 6th, 2017 –

On March 24th, Cut Up will release their highly anticipated sophomore album, Wherever They May Rot, worldwide via Metal Blade Records! Just as brutal as its predecessor, 2015′s Forensic Nightmares, Wherever They May Rot offers a rougher edge and is catchier overall. For a preview of the album, a bloody video for the new single, “Vermin Funeral”, can be viewed at: youtube.com/watch?v=8VqsosGM-3c

Cut Up‘s Anders Bertilsson (guitar) comments: “Inspiration for your arbitrary funerary rites arrives in the form of our new video. Shot in a cold, filthy, suitably depressing environment the video perfectly illustrates the scorching mid-tempo concentration of pure aggression that is ‘Vermin Funeral’. Thanks to the camera work and acting by the Arvika crew, we can now present you with this murderous cinematic experience. Watch as one by one is hunted down and hammered into the tomb. Get this and 10 more killing anthems with ‘Wherever They May Rot‘, out March 24th worldwide on Metal Blade Records!”

Cut Up enters the studio to record new album for early 2017 release

– September 22nd, 2016 –

Swedish death metallers Cut Up have entered the Big Balls Productions Studio in Sweden to record the successor to their critically acclaimed debut album, Forensic Nightmares!

Drummer Tobias Gustafsson comments: “We have started the recording of our second album! Again, we have entered Big Balls Productions Studio in Karlstad/Sweden with engineer Mats Lindstrom. The majority of 2016 has been spent writing and working on the new material. The process has been very intense, which I think reflects in the music, in a very positive way. Following the direction of our debut ‘Forensic Nightmares‘, our second, yet untitled album will take things up a notch or two! Drums are already almost done, and during the next couple of weeks we will continue to shape this death metal gore bomb into its final form. The mixing and last touches will be done by no less than Dan Swano at Unisound!”

Stay tuned for more news coming soon! In the meantime, fans can preview and purchase Cut Up‘s debut, Forensic Nightmares, at: metalblade.com/cutup

CUT UP to release second single and video ‘A Butchery Improved’ from upcoming new album “Forensic Nightmares”!

– June 16th, 2015 –

Swedish death metal act, CUT UP, have teamed up with German Deaf Forever Magazine to premiere their brand new video clip to ‘A Butchery Improved‘, taken off their upcoming debut album “Forensic Nightmares“! Check it out HERE!

Forensic Nightmares” will be released 26th June via Metal Blade Records. Listen to the 1st single and watch the video clip for “Burial Time” at metalblade.com/cutup. Make also sure to pre-order your copies of the album, there is an exclusive bundle available as well!

Comments CUT UP vocalist/guitarist Andreas Björnson: “We’re coming at you with “A Butchery Improved”, our second video from “Forensic Nightmares”. The song, title and lyrics perfectly display what Cut Up intends to achieve with the debut album. Being one of the eleven strong points of the album, the song is accompanied by a video that goes along with the lyrics. We introduce you to our resident murderous maniac. After a job well done, he’s got enough in the freezer to last him for a while. The video was recorded in Arvika, Sweden during one messy day. So let this video serve as a last appetizer before the album release!

1. Enter Hell
2. Burial Time
3. Remember the Flesh
4. A Butchery Improved
5. Brain Cell Holocaust
6. Forensic Nightmare
7. Camouflesh

9. Stab and Stab Again
10. Bunker Z 16
11. Dead and Impaled

CUT UP was founded by drummer Tobias Gustafsson and vocalist/bassist Erik Rundqvist in early 2014. After disbanding Vomitory by the end of 2013 after 24 years of death metal duty, the two felt it obvious to continue creating death metal together. Very soon, guitarist Anders Bertilsson and guitarist/vocalist Andreas Björnson were recruited and CUT UP was complete. Both Bertilsson – who was previously and most notably in Coldworker (2006-2013) – and Björnson – also known from Fetus Stench – share the same musical ideals as Gustafsson and Rundqvist as well as the passion to play live.

The next months followed with hard work, writing and rehearsing, and in November 2014 they entered the studio and recorded 11 songs for the debut album “Forensic Nightmares“. With the band members’ collective resume and repute in the metal scene, you can expect nothing but violent, catchy, groovy and grinding death metal from CUT UP.

Metal Blade is proud to announce the addition of Swedish Death Metallers CUT UP to it’s roster!

CUT UP were founded by drummer Tobias Gustafsson and vocalist/bassist Erik Rundqvist in early 2014. After disbanding Vomitory by the end of 2013 after 24 years of death metal duty, the two felt it obvious to continue creating death metal together. Can’t stay away from playing death metal, obviously, so it feels fantastic to have this murderous ensemble together so soon after putting Vomitory into eternal sleep. Cut Up is not just “another project”, but all four members’ new main band. We have made a debut album that we are tremendously satisfied with, both material- and production-wise. We can’t wait to let you hear it! Cut Up aim to hit the stages as soon as the album is released, so we hope to see you all in the front row and in the pit!
