Ravenous Death Premiere New Song “The Sinister Being” From Upcoming New Album “Chapters of an Evil Transition”

Ravenous Death premiere a new song entitled “The Sinister Being”, taken from their upcoming new album “Chapters of an Evil Transition”, which will be out in stores January 21st on Memento Mori.

Check out now “The Sinister Being” below.

Tells Ravenous Death’s drummer Esteban Salcedo, who wrote the track:

“I wanted to create a song with evil riffs and a couple of variations on the drums. Obviously the lyrics had to be according to the music. In fact, the entire album has a concept: it’s the story of a man who was marked by evil at birth. Therefore the songs have a sequence. At this point of the story, the man (nameless) has already embraced the darkness. He has already learned to live with his demons, he is already in the cult and he is ready to fully awake the sinister being that he has cultivated throughout his life. Through the story embodied in the lyrics, he is rejected by society because of that inherent evil that dominates him and all the scum that surrounds him. At first he began to kill for revenge, out of rage towards humanity, but the sinister being now does it for pleasure and to make offerings to his cult. Regarding the music, the ideas came out in a day of inspiration and little by little small arrangements were made. So if you want to hear more and know the whole story of this man, get the album!”

Fall Of Summer Adds Cattle Decapitation And More To 2017 Lineup

The Fall of Summer team is excited to reveal five new bands the impending 2017 line-up, with the festival’s organizers commenting:

“Let’s get started with a very important project to us, as French metalheads and heavy metal lovers, with a tribute band to the cult heavy metal group Sortilege! Before giving you more details soon, we are very proud to tell you that some original members of the band will come on stage for the occasion!

“Still heavy metal to the core, let’s raise our fist and start the rebellion together with German legends Grave Digger! It’s also a great pleasure for us to welcome the cult American thrash metal band Toxik for a first show in France.

“Last but not least we are glad to announce two great American death metal bands, with grind death masters of Cattle Decapitation and veterans from Broken Hope, who reformed 5 years ago with Jeremy Wagner joined by vocalist Damian Leski from Gorgasm and other talented musicians, without stopping by the Paris area at all. They had to, at some point, and we’re glad it will be at Fall of Summer 2017!”

Vainaja Announces “Kadotetut” Release Date

Today Svart Records announces May 23rd as the release date of Vainaja’s debut album, “Kadotetut.”

Taking influences from early ’90s death metal and doom, Vainaja is a three-headed beast from Finland. The following press release was issued about the “Kadotetut” album concept:

“Not much is known about the events that took place in the 19th century rural Finland. Traditional lore tells of an evil cult inducing chaos among parishioners of old Finnish religions. Evidence of such sinful formation have been gathered from church records and filmographies.

“Traditionally, only three cultists are scarcely identified. The local preacher Wilhelm, the church cantor Kristian, and the gravedigger Aukusti seem to have been the main malefactors. Adjacent to the local church, these churchmen practiced their own crooked religion in the church cantor’s vast mansion. Besides blasphemy, the cult performed sacrificial murder and enslaved villagers to be buried alive.

“Further evidence of the nefarious activities was recently found among the now ruined cantor’s mansion. Up to this date, only little has been known about the cult’s actions, since most of their belongings were burned together with the culprits. As a matter of fact, it is known that the cultists were ultimately condemned to be scorched to death upon a church altar.

“What was found in the ruins has not been revealed until now. Consorted as the main discovery, an incredibly well-preserved book contains sermons written by the preacher Wilhelm. It seems that these twisted chants have led the cult to the series of murder, sacrifice, and conspiracy. The aged texts and hymns are now carefully transcribed in the songs of Kadotetut, Vainaja’s debut full-length for Svart. The concept album adds unprecedented details to the controversial and encrypted story.”

The album’s track listing is as follows:

1. Lankeemus
2. Väärän Ristin Valtakunta
3. Kahleiden Kantaja
4. Valon Lapset
5. Henkikaste
6. Verinen Lähde
7. Risti Kädessäni
8. Viimeinen Tuomio
9. Kadotettu
