New EP “Cultus In Tenebris” Announced By Ctulu

German sea storming extreme metal act Ctulu will release the 4-Track EP entitled “Cultus in Tenebris” on October 6th in the U.S. via Static Tension Recordings.

“Cultus in Tenebris” was recorded at the same time as the 2016 selt-titled album. Ctulu wanted to reduce both these works to minimum duration while containing maximum quality. The band has never before filtered so many ideas that didn’t make it on the final release.

“Cultus in Tenebris” is a concept EP that tries to catch the spirit of Necronomicon rituals. It is a gathering of exotic weirdness, of seeing in the dark, of praising the old, capricious, mad and wild gods. This is Ctulu’s first genuine U.S. release.

Ctulu Splits With Drummer Martin Hefurth, Pushes Back New Album "Seelenspiegelsplitter"

German Lovecraftian metallers Ctulu have just launched a brand new website, and the band has also announced that third full-length album “Seelenspiegelsplitter” is being postponed to April of 2013.

However, Ctulu will present new tracks from the upcoming album during an appearance at the third edition of the War Over Kiel festival, headlined by Swedish death metal legends Grave on November 10th.

In other news, Ctulu has undergone a line-up change with the departure of drummer Martin Hefurth. A temporary replacement for the War Over Kiel performance has been found in the shape of ex-Ctulu drummer Jan Westermann. The current Ctulu line-up is:
