Children Of Bodom Posts New Lyric Video “This Road” Online

Finland’s melodic death superstars Children Of Bodom are set to release their tenth album, Hexed, on March 8, 2019 via Nuclear Blast Records. Today, the band has unleashed the official lyric video for their new single “The Road.” You can check it out below.

COB frontman, guitarist, and mastermind Alexi Laiho comments: “This Road was actually the last song I wrote but it ended up being the opening track and also one of the singles which makes me happy cos it’s one of my faves. It’s different from anything we’ve done since Follow the Reaper but it’s still new. Check it out and you’ll know what I mean.”

“Hexed” saw the return to Finland’s Danger Johnny Studios where they were reunited with Mikko Karmila (“I Worship Chaos,” “Halo Of Blood,” “Hatebreeder,” “Follow the Reaper” & “Hate Crew Deathroll”) who recorded everything except keyboards and also produced the album with the band. Janne Wirman recorded keyboards at Beyond Abilities Studios. The album was mixed and mastered at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki, Finland.

For this album, the band enlisted Deins Forkas to create the album artwork. Bassist Henkka Blacksmith commented on the cover, “For some years already I have wanted to try a different approach with our cover art. We are so used to digital art so that is really hard to do something else. Doing it all the way with a computer is somewhat safe and convenient. This time we all agreed to try it old school. We found this cool dude and gave him simple instructions. The cover has to be purple and the reaper has to be central. Half a year later we got his work, and with a little tweaking, we have the cover of Hexed. It is very different from what we are used to, even the Reaper looks different, but at the same time very spooky.“

Children Of Bodom Reveals New Album “Hexed” Details

Finland’s melodic death superstars Children Of Bodom are proud to the announce the release of their tenth album, Hexed, on March 8th 2019 via Nuclear Blast Records.

COB frontman, guitarist, and mastermind Alexi Laiho comments, “People have said that this album is generally catchier. So I started thinking about that, perhaps the song structures are easier to grasp on initial listen. But there’s some crazy shit in there, almost progressive or at least technical. There are certain melodies across the album that could have come from jazz songs, although they’re completely metal with us, of course (laughs).”

“For me, it has always been very hard to describe our new music,” comments bassist Henkka Blacksmith. “In a way it always feels familiar, but the new stuff also always surprises me. Here we have something that’s very Bodom, but somehow we haven’t done this kind of stuff, possibly ever. Then again, someone said that there’s a somewhat similar vibe to what Follow the Reaper had. I don’t know. Anyway, we had a really hard time choosing the songs for the videos, I guess that’s a positive problem to have.”

“Hexed” saw the return to Finland’s Danger Johnny Studios where COB were reunited with Mikko Karmila (“I Worship Chaos,” “Halo Of Blood,” “Hatebreeder,” “Follow the Reaper” and “Hate Crew Deathroll”) who recorded everything except keyboards and also produced the album with the band. New Album “No Compromises” Announced By Dreamer’s Crime, New Single/Video Clip Available

Dreamers Crime announced that the band is set to release the brand new album “No Compromises” on Friday November 17 – an album created and crafted by the Sydney band along with Stevie Knight and Dave Petrovic at Electric Sun Studios (Tonight Alive, The Dead Love, Thy Art is Murder, Northlane). This is the debut album and it hits hard and pulls no punches.

“No Compromises” will be available for pre-order this Friday October 13 and punters will receive new single “Here We Are” – the new single and the second cut from the record. Today, the band is also releasing a filmclip for the track to celebrate the announcement, so check it out at the bottom.

Pete Repousis, frontman for the Sydney outfit, said that “Sometimes to get to where you wanna go, you have to say – f*#k what others have to say and just go for it. People sometimes over-compromise and end up the person they don’t want to be or in a place they never wanted to be in. Sometimes, for the sake of your beliefs and your dreams, you have to say no. That is where the album name ‘No Compromises’ came from. We didn’t want to compromise on this record and neither should our fans have to accept any less from us.”

Simon Kapsis, guitarist for Dreamers Crime says that “2018 is set to be a big year and releasing the album is just the beginning. The band wants to go anywhere and everywhere after the release of their album at the end of 2017, and the rest is yet to come.”

The Workhorse III Releasing New Album “Closer To Relevance”

Philadelphia power trio The Workhorse III will self-release third album “Closer to Relevance” on December 9th, 2016. The following press release was issued about the impending album:

“Too rock for metal and too metal for rock? More like loud, proud, and hot as Hell! Though The Workhorse III consider themselves a hard rock band, the riff-driven diversity of the music makes them so much more!

“The one certainty is that vocalist/guitarist Lisa Lyne Flynn (aka Lisa Christ Superstar), bassist/vocalist Steve McCarthy, and drummer Eric Perfect (also a world renowned tattoo artist of 26 years) worship at the altar of the mighty riff!

“The members have played in various well-known Philly bands such as Savage 3D, Limecell, and the Pagan Babies and certainly have a punk rock / metal pedigree, but when you put these three veteran musicians together you get a diverse pool of music in which to swim.”

1. War Torn City
2. Soul Crusher
3. Wasted
4. Holy Roller
5. Nothin’ From Me
6. What’s The Point
7. Want You
8. Find My Mind
9. Life of Crime
10. When I’m Gone
11. Closer to Relevance
