Announces Los Angeles and New York dates

There are great guitarists, great vocalists and great songwriters, but Monte Pittman is one of the elite few who can truly lay claim to all three titles. With his fourth full-length, Inverted Grasp of Balance (2016), he once again raised the stakes, delivering a riveting collection of full force metal that showcases his continuing evolution. Now, fans can watch a video playlist for each track on the album here: youtube.com

Monte Pittman comments: “We are finally releasing the remainder of videos filmed for ‘Inverted Grasp Of Balance‘. It started out as an idea Travis Colbert had about filming me as a project when he was with me playing my solo shows. Travis has been documenting content for the app, Bravo Tip Or Pay, that I use to sell tickets and merchandise at my shows. Don Jamieson had an idea for ‘Skeleton Key’, I had to climb up on a mountain of rocks luckily not getting eaten by a bunch of rattlesnakes for ‘Arisen In Broad Daylight’, and we filmed ‘Panic Attack’ in the certified haunted Logan Mansion. Along with the videos that have already been released (featuring Leanna Decker, Billy Sheehan, & Richard Christy), you can now watch the entire album. This completes the cycle for ‘Inverted Grasp Of Balance‘”.

To finish off the Inverted Grasp Of Balance album cycle, Monte Pittman will also play shows in Los Angeles and New York next month, performing The Power Of Three (2014) and Inverted Grasp Of Balance in their entirety. See below for more details.

Monte Pittman live
June 2nd – Los Angeles, CA – Unfriendly Studios (1992 E 20th St Unit 13, Vernon, CA 90058)
* get tickets through the Bravo Tip Or Pay app
June 9th – New York, NY – VNYL (100 3rd Ave, New York, NY 10003)
* get tickets through the Bravo Tip Or Pay app

Empyrean Throne Signs With M-Theory Audio

Southern California black / death metal group Empyrean Throne has signed with M-Theory Audio, helmed by Marco Barbieri (former president of Century Media Records and Nuclear Blast America). The group’s debut album, “Chaosborne” – produced by Mick Kenney of Anaal Nathrakh – will be released this summer.

Over the past five years, Empyrean Throne – which describes itself as a “clandestine order of Chaos-Gnostic black metal practitioners” – has built a steady regional following through theatrical performances alongside the likes of Nile, Overkill, Kataklysm, Aborted and Cattle Decapitation, as well as two West Coast tours. 2013 debut EP “Demonseed” and subsequent digital singles (including a cover of Behemoth’s “Ov Fire and the Void”) have hinted at the promise that’s on full display on “Chaosborne.”

Comments Empyrean Throne vocalist Andrew Knudsen, “Marco is a man of vision, and his continuing hard work and achievements in the music industry are a testament to this. His excitement and enthusiasm for what our Order hopes to achieve and cultivate is what we have been searching for in a label. We are hungry for the growth Marco has planned for us and are ready to carve a path of sonic destruction across the face of the extreme music scene. We’re both honored and humbled to join Marco and the M-Theory ranks for the release of ‘Chaosborne.’”

Adds Barbieri, “Empyrean Throne came to my attention when I noticed the ‘Haereticus’ video. It blew me away that such a promising visual band with top-notch production and a high-quality concept video were planning to self-release their album. After some research and conversations with the band and Mark Muller at Extreme Management Group, I knew I had to join the team and help further spread the good word. I’m very excited about the potential of these guys and look forward towards the future.”

Catch these upcoming Empyrean Throne tour dates:

5/6 Rites ov Ascension II Festival – Laguna Niguel, CA
5/19 Adrenaline – Las Vegas, NV (w/ Shining, Revenge, Wolvhammer)
5/20 Complex – Los Angeles, CA (w/ Shining, Revenge, Wolvhammer)
5/26 Brick By Brick – San Diego, CA (w/ Taake)

Plasmodium Streaming “Entheognosis” Album

Plasmodium – an abstract black / death metal band hailing from Australia – is now streaming new album “Entheognosis” online in full.

You can listen in the below, and the band also comments: “Plasmodium exists to haunt the thresholds of outer knowledge. By means of our continuing experiments into auditory hallucinations, we have formed a vortex as a Tetrahemihexahedron. From its ghastly blazing eye the sounds of matter and time weep through the untempered schizm.

“It is by our will and sinew that the corruptive metageometric viral code is granted earthly form. Amidst the howls of silurian reproductive fever there is but one true sound, the audible doctrines of our photoabysmic sacerdotalism. Know that to accept our existence is to open egress to the oubliette, there can be no return or no explanation.”

1. Limbic Disassociation
2. Reformoculus
3. Hermaphrodisiac
4. Deuteromitosis

September Mourning Releases “20 Below” Music Video

September Mourning just released an official music video for “20 Below,” taken off the “Volume II” album, which is out now on Sumerian Records.

“20 Below” follows the continuing story of human-reaper hybrid September through parallel story lines as she is pursued between two worlds. The band further comments: “’20 Below’ is about ending the cycle of abuse within our own lives, whether it’s self inflicted or from an outside source.

“We’ve all had those relationships where someone has gotten close to us, abuses us in some way… knocks us down so hard it diminishes our self esteem. ’20 Below’ is about the realization that the beat down feeling and feelings of worthlessness are untrue and being caused by some external negativity. It’s about being strong enough within your own self to rise above.

“There are no saviors or messiah coming to save us. There’s only the strength in our hearts and our souls, which is greater than we can even conceive. It’s great enough to be the catalyst to save our own selves if we find a way to tap into that part of ourselves.”

Winds Of Plague Inks Record Deal With eOne Music

The Southern California metal titans from Winds Of Plague today signed a record deal with Entertainment One Music (eOne) / Good Fight Music. The band is also announcing a first headlining tour in two and a half years, with Rings Of Saturn as direct support.

Vocalist Johnny Cooke comments: “Over two years ago Winds Of Plague played a show at Chain reaction in Anaheim with Bleeding Through on their farewell tour. While I was walking off that stage I was certain that would have been the final show for us as well. We had an amazing 10 year run, played some wild shows, met a lot of great people and now it was time to focus on ourselves as individuals and let the band fade into the background.

“However, I was wrong. Now, in 2016 we find ourselves grounded and in a place to return to the stage. After playing a handful of SoCal shows, the fire and passion is raging harder than ever and we are very excited to announce our first run of headlining shows in years. The run of shows takes us to Texas and back accompanied by hard hitters Rings Of Saturn and Enterprise Earth.

“We have a multitude of exciting things in the works but today I am proud to announce we have signed a record contract with eOne Music / Good Fight Music to create a new Winds Of Plague record and we are currently hard at work writing new material. Stay tuned as we unravel more details in the coming months!

“As always, thank you for the continuing support and hope to see you soon in a city near you, much love!”

New Album “Massive Addictive” Announced By Amaranthe

Sweden’s Amaranthe, known for fusing melodic metal with elements of EDM, will release their third album “Massice Addictive” via Spinefarm Records on October 21. The album was tracked at Hansen Studios in Ribe, Denmark with Jacob Hansen (Volbeat, Epica) at the helm. It marks the first release for the band’s third vocalist Henrik Englund Wilhelmsson, who joined in 2013.

“‘Massive Addictive’ is true to its title. The band’s signature, larger-than-life sound, comprised of kinetic riffing, pulsating beats and celestial, melodic choruses, remains in tact, but the album finds Amaranthe continuing to explore a range of dynamics and with a willingness to push themselves even further.”

Guitarist Olaf Mörck (Dragonland) commented: “We have lived and breathed this album every hour and every day the last year, and to know that this music is about to reach everyone’s ears is beyond exciting. Following the first leg of The Nexus World Tour, we sat down and agreed that we wanted the next album to be really fresh, new and even to raise a few eyebrows, all while retaining our signature sound.”

He continued, “‘Massive Addictive’ is in every way that huge leap forward we wanted to achieve and the album definitely contain our strongest song writing to date. The press often asks us to ‘describe the album with three words’; this time, the answer is simple – it’s MASSIVE, it’s ADDICTIVE, and most importantly, it’s AMARANTHE!”

The track listing for the release is:

1. Dynamite
2. Drop Dead Cynical
3. Trinity
4. Massive Addictive
5. Digital World
6. True
7. Unreal
8. Over and Done
9. Danger Zone
10. Skyline
11. An Ordinary Abnormality
12. Exhale
