The White Swan (Kittie) Debut New Song “Touch Taste Destroy”

The White Swan, featuring Kittie drummer Mercedes Lander among their lineup, premiere the title track to their approaching new EP, “Touch Taste Destroy“. That outing is headed for a September 07th release.

Says Lander of this latest track:

“‘Touch Taste Destroy‘ is about experiencing real romantic love for the first time. The kind of love that completely consumes you and ruins any idea of what you thought real love was like. The main riff came together very easily for me and was written on an Alvarez baritone acoustic on my couch in about 5 minutes.

We had the middle part tucked away in our bank of riffs and it fit very well with the main bit of music. Lyrically, the song is quite sappy, which is an underlying theme with The White Swan in general, but I really wanted to keep the verses very dark sounding, to contrast the lyrical content, and the choruses a bit more intense but in the same dark vein as the verses.

I felt like TTD perfectly describes the EP’s theme. Not only is it one of my favorite songs but it speaks for the content of all three songs on the EP.”

Slomatics Debut New Track “Ancient Architects”

Doom metal band SLOMATICS have returned with “Ancient Architects”, a new song taken from Totems which they are co-releasing with MAMMOTH WEED WIZARD BASTARD.

Listen to the song below:

Slomatics commented:

“We are really excited to be releasing a record with MWWB. We are all huge fans of their Y Proffwyd Dwyll album, so to collaborate on a release together is something else. This record is the result of months of discussion and sharing ideas which all came together when we shared Skyhammer Studio. Sharing a release with MWWB made us want to up every part of our sound and hopefully we’ve achieved that with this record.

MWWB further commented “MWWB have been big fans of Slomatics for years. We have kind of obdurate tastes when it comes to heavy music so we like bands that fly their own flag and in our opinion Slomatics do just that. After chatting to Dave (Majury) it was pretty clear that both bands had a lot in common and when somebody brought up the idea of a collaboration it was a no brainer. We spent a lot of time discussing the content of this record and didn’t want to do just another split record. Although Split records are great for undergrounds bands like us, we just wanted to make it ‘special’. Kind of an early 70s prog ethic to it. We all enjoyed the whole process and I’m not alone in thinking we’d like to do more collaborations in the future with more collaboration between the 2 bands. That’s if we can find the time.”

Earth Electric Premieres New Song “Meditate. Mediate” From Upcoming Debut Album “Vol. 1: Solar”

Psychedelic heavy rock outfit Earth Electric – featuring former members of Ava Inferi and Mayhem – premieres a new song entitled “Meditate. Mediate”, taken from the upcoming debut album “Vol. 1: Solar”, which will be released on May 12 via Season of Mist.

Check out now “Meditate. Mediate” below.

Explains the band:

“We have chosen the aptly titled ‘Meditate. Mediate’ as our first single, because this song reflects the content and theme of our album well,” Earth Electric says. “We also feel that its vibe serves as a wake-up call for this rather bleak and egocentric world. We simply need more colours! Through our debut Vol. 1: Solar we convey pure emotions with a musical emphasis on ‘the classic era’ of hard rock. In our opinion, the result is adventurous and fun; at times a tad psychedelic and untamed yet on the other hand classic and refined. This is no make-up, just pure rock in all its pride and glory. We are Earth Electric!”

Says vocalist Jeffrey Wellfare of the song:

“This is the first Capture The Crown album where the band has written the album in its entirety, no help, no writers, just four band members who came together and wrote some kick ass songs. I’m so proud of the boys for all the hard work they have put into this album. It truly shows when listening to the content. This is the best material the band has written to date. The songwriting, the content and emotion creates a special stage for the most epic roller coaster ride. Assume nothing, be surprised.”

Grave Desecrator Streams Full “Dust To Lust” Album

Cult death/black metal horde Grave Desecrator is streaming vicious forthcoming full-length album “Dust to Lust” online in full.

“Dust to Lust” features a cover by artist Zbigniew Bielak and will be released by Season of Mist worldwide on July 1st. Regarding the new album, Élson “El” Necrogoat comments:

“We consider ‘Dust to Lust’ to be our most defying and tough album so far. This is the direction that we intend to follow in future. We worked under the same paradigm as before, but enhanced with antagonist and blasphemous grit, which is fueled by spiritual and carnal truths about our existence.

“The miasmal scent of addictive terror that feeds our content is reflected in a sense of cruel reality permeating these compositions. Do not expect reflections of disguised maturity and evolution! Experience the abyssal revelations clawed straight from the delights of Brazilian and South American horror core!”

Fault Lines Posts “Such Is Life” EP Online

After dropping lead single “Equal Parts” that features Silent Planet vocalist Garrett Russel, metalcore outfit Fault Lines is now streaming the entire “Such Is Life” EP online.

This full stream also marks the official release of “Such Is Life” today. Listen in below, courtesy of HM Magazine. Vocalist Corey Pettit comments:

“This EP is a collection of songs that open up a dialogue about various feelings or things that we as humans have to deal with in our lives, that aren’t exactly positive. We didn’t want to sugar-coat the content so a lot of it comes off as cynical or melancholy, but it’s honest which is what we were going for.

“The release deals with addiction, anxiety, fighting complacency and a few other subjects that are harsh realities of the world we live in. We hope that you find some solace in knowing that you are not alone in these issues and that you can get through it. That’s the main idea of this EP… You will get past it and move on, and it’s worth it to.”
