Synaptik Announces New Album “Justify & Reason”

British heavy metal five-piece Synaptik recently announced the re-release of debut album “The Mechanisms of Consequence,” arriving as a heavier remixed album due out on January 30th.

The Norwich men show no signs of slowing down as they are also set to make a huge impact in 2017 by following that debut with the release of sophomore album “Justify & Reason,” due out March 10th.

For U.S. fans, it’s a double dose of metal as the remixed album and the new record “Justify & Reason” will be released as a double album directly via Divebomb Records.

Synaptik describes “Justify & Reason” as: “A collection exhibiting real finesse, true technicality but not at the expense of neck-snapping riffs and a progressive air that’s both bracing and intimidatingly menacing.”

2. Human / Inhuman
3. Conscience
4. White Circles
5. Esc Ctrl
6. A Man Dies
7. As I Am As I Was

Faith No More Releases “Cone Of Shame” Music Video

Faith No More today shares a new video from comeback album “Sol Invictus,” debuting a clip brimming with betrayal and revenge for the song “Cone of Shame.”

“This is one of those tracks that had to be a video, really, because it lends itself so much to visual imagery,” Bill Gould explains. “Given the song’s sense of Americana, it would have been easy to shoot this in Arizona or New Mexico, but having been to Macedonia several times, there’s a vibe there that I felt wouldn’t be out of place as a backdrop to this song. Goce Cvetanovski, as a director, understood this immediately; he knew exactly what to do with it, and along with an amazing cast, has managed to create something very dark, and beautifully cinematic.”

“Cone of Shame” was the third song previewed from Faith No More’s album “Sol Invictus,” initially debuted at a 2015 Japanese concert. Rolling Stone described the four-and-a-half minute track as “a sparse, Spaghetti Western,” while Consequence of Sound proclaimed it “a tour de force of the band’s talents.”

A limited edition “Cone of Shame” 7-inch will be available on November 25th with pre-orders available soon.

Stratovarius Releasing New Album “Eternal”

Stratovarius has broken its year long silence to reveal the band is in the studio completing a new record, with the release preceded by a performance at Wacken Open Air Festival and followed by a full tour. “Eternal” will drop on August 14th, 2015. EarMusic also comments:

“The trilogy of albums ‘Polaris,’ ‘Elysium’ and ‘Nemesis’ were released close to each other as the consequence of the renewed creative energy the band gained following the arrival of new members to support the historical members Kotipelto, Johansson and Michael.

“The previous three albums by Stratovarius showcased the many talents of guitarist Mattias Kupianen (prolific songwriter and producer of all the albums, including ‘Eternal’), virtuoso bass player Lauri Porra and, on the third of the three, the young talent Rolf Pilve, one of the best drummer of his generation who had to replace Jörg Michael after the latter decided to move into a new role in Stratovarius management.

“The most recent album ‘Nemesis’ included the single ‘Unbreakable,’ which became one of the most streamed songs ever released by Stratovarius. Kotipelto and Johansson proudly carry the torch of the glorious Stratovarius tradition, but now many fans of the band consider the current line-up ‘classic Stratovarius.’ The new album ‘Eternal’ has been the longest album in the making from the band.”

“Since ‘Polaris’ we have released a new studio album pretty much every two years,” reflects Jens Johansson, “but after ‘Nemesis,’ we all decided to take a little bit of time off after we finished the world tour. Now we’re all tanned and rested and it’s about fucking time to get back into the saddle. Everybody has been busy the last few months writing lots of new songs, and only the best has been recorded for ‘Eternal.’”
