Helgardh To Record New Album “Mallevs Maleficarvm”

American black metal band Helgardh will be hitting the studio in May of 2015 to begin work on latest full-length album, “Mallevs Maleficarvm.”

This recording comes fresh off the heels of single release “The Aberration Scars,” in which the band worked with Jamie King (Between The Buried And Me, A Skylit Drive) at Basement Studio.

Helgardh will again return to Basement Studio to record with Jamie for this new full-length release. The album will feature Ken Sorceron of Abigail Williams doing a guest vocal appearance.

The group also recently signed with Extreme Management Group, and vocalist Famine had this to say: “Helgardh set out to prove to be a force to be reckoned with since our conception in 2009. We have put forth all efforts to make it as far as we’ve come in the last 6 years and are very excited to become a part of the Extreme Management Group roster. We feel that this deal will push us to the next level, the level that we want to achieve as a band, and with a new album on the horizon, we feel confident that it’ll happen.

“Our forthcoming album is, to say the least; the most aggressive effort the band has produced, and promises to surpass all expectation of a Helgardh album. Now with Jamie King at the helm of production, we feel that the band is continuously moving forward in every aspect of the industry. With this album, our goal is to put a new standard on American Black Metal, and become a dominant force in the modern metal scene, and with our new partnership with EMG, we feel like we now have the assets to make it happen.”

Insurrection Reveals New Album, Streaming “Checkmate” Track

Insurrection has posted the new song “Checkmate” online, which can be heard in the player below. The following press release was also issued about the band’s coming new album:

“Gatineau, QC death metal band Insurrection has blended its calculated technicality to create a signature mixture of merciless death metal that has emerged from the prominent Canadian scene.

“Growing, modulating and mutating into a machine of an aural onslaught since their conception in 2003 by founding members Martin Samson and Stef Jomphe, the band is officially unleashing their first crowd funded and third full length album ‘Prototype’ produced by Topon Das (Fuck The Facts) on October 15th via Canadian label Galy Records. The album is the follow up to 2010’s ‘Fracture’, a dark prophecy of unforgivable times and a brutal soundtrack to the fall of man and 2009’s ‘Prologue’, which gave first life to the band’s monstrosity.”

Vocalist Stef Jomphe comments: “We’re really proud to finally bring Prototype to the masses. It represents the next step for Insurrection, trying out different ways to present our own sound, exploring different angles and methods! This is the result of several years of hard work along with amazing support from our fans and friends whom without, none of this would’ve been possible! Enjoy Prototype, you made it happen!”
