Ur Releasing Debut Album “Black Vortex” via Arachnophobia Records

Following the well-received EP “Hail Death”, black/heavy metal act Ur will be releasing their debut full-length album, “Black Vortex” via Arachnophobia Records on 22 December 2017. The cover artwork was done by Krzysztof Sikorski.

“Black Vortex” is a natural evolution of the band’s previous work. The band’s mastermind, Gregor, comments that he treats “both releases as one whole, musically and lyrically. Some of the tracks are philosophical in nature. They are filled with sadness and pity over human existence. Other tracks, however, are something you’d expect from Ur : aggressive, primitive anthems of hatred about human greed, materialism and stupidity. Let the Black Vortex swallow you!”

Ur consist of seasoned musicians from Poland who have contributed to acts such as Bloodthirst or Bloodstained. Their first EP “Hail Death” was warmly received by the metal media and fans alike, with MetalTalk.net calling it “a superb debut offering”, while No Clean Singing claimed the EP has “a visceral, primal appeal”. A year later, with winter on the horizon, the beast will once again roar its primal sounds.

“Black Vortex” Track list:

1. Black Vortex
2. Black Spark
3. We Are Mortal
4. Shed My Skin
5. The Beckoning Silence
6. The Last Feast
7. Cleansing by Fire
8. The Goddess of the World

Debut Album “Escatology” Streaming In Full From Pile Of Excrements

Greek death/thrash act Pile Of Excrements is streaming the debut album “Escatology” in full over at No Clean Singing at this location, or just simply in the player below. The album shits out on October 23rd via Memento Mori.

Hailing from Athens, Greece, Pile of Excrements was crapped into existence when drummer Shit Eater (Necrovorous, Embrace of Thorns, Chainsaw) joined forces with guitar/bass-player and vocalist Necropervert (Nightbreed, Chainsaw) with the vile intention of delighting the listener with the aural equivalent of the nauseating stench of one hundred drains clogged with foul-smelling turds and urine. And as the title of their debut album promises, “Escatology” is exactly that!

Pile of Excrements pile high the punk rockin’ hooks so crucial to early death metal – that is, the original template laid out by the aforementioned masters – and keep the crush coming. It’s 15 almost-anthems in a tight ‘n’ taut 40 minutes, but it’s not all short/sharp/shocked: on the six-minute “Cult of the Unibrow,” the duo go relatively epic whilst keeping the emphasis on the filth…where it should be!

The track listing for the album is:

1. Bowel Rampage
2. Miasma Cuming Embalming Fluids
3. Made in Chernobyl
4. Hooker with a Hook
5. Graveyard Delicatessen
6. Leper Orgy
7. Escatology
8. Silent but Deadly
9. Yellow Front, Brown Back
10. Minestrone
11. Cult of the Unibrow
12. Skourkos the Polluter
13. Buttfucked by Giant Cockroach
14. Human Compost
15. Tourette Aggressor

New Song “Rat” Available From Gnaw

As Translation Loss Records prepares “Cutting Pieces,” the third LP by New York City-based Gnaw for release at the end of the month, No Clean Singing has undertaken the task of issuing the album’s lead track, “Rat” which you can check out over here, or simply by staying here and clicking the player below.

Gnaw was created by vocalist Alan Dubin following the dissolution of Khanate. Closing a four-year gap since the acclaimed second album, “Horrible Chamber,” Gnaw’s “Cutting Pieces” dredges forth some of the outfit’s most unnerving audio assaults yet. The seismic atrocities and haunting intricacies on “Cutting Pieces” leaves an instantly damaging, long-lasting impression, their cumulative decimation producing some of the outfit’s most cinematic terror to date.

Gnaw commented on the new single, “‘Rat’ was conceived in individual heliocentric hallucinations as we each submerged ourselves in separate self-deprecation chambers. We feel it is a perfect album lead-off song. It’s visual. It feels like an entrance to a dark recess.”

Translation Loss will release “Cutting Pieces” on LP, CD, and digital formats on October 27th; find pre-orders over at this location.
