New Album “Heavy Bombers” Streaming In Full From Bólido

Today, Chilean metal act Bólido is streaming the entire new album “Heavy Bombers” over at Deaf Forever magazine’s website at this location or just in the player below. The album was released earlier this year only on digital format, but will now see international CD release on October 10th via Fighter Records.

Formed back in 2010 in Santiago, Chile, Bólido self-released the debut album “We Are Rock” in 2014, gaining a solid reputation in Chile thanks to the band’s powerful live performances. New Album “Doom Decimation” Coming From Procession

Chilean doom metal act Procession will release the third full length album “Doom Decimation” on Halloween via High Roller Records. The album is the long awaited follow up to the highly touted “To Reap Heavens Apart” (called by some the Chilean “Epicus Doomicus Metallicus”).

Originally formed in 2006 by guitarist/vocalist Felipe Plaza in Chile’s cultural heart, the coastal city of Valparaiso, Procession follow the path of tradition laid out by the masters Black Sabbath, Saint Vitus and Candlemass – without mercy, without compromise! Procession’s debut album “Destroyers Of The Faith” (2010) did not only take the doom metal scene by storm, but also convinced parts of the metal mainstream. The band’s follow up record “To Reap Heavens Apart” in 2013 was hailed as one of the best pure doom metal works.

Main man Felipe Plaza has since relocated to Sweden. However, the new record called “Doom Decimation” was recorded in Chile. Felipe explains: “I had this dream that was to record an album as much as old-fashioned as we could and see what we could get from it. That formula, total isolation and gathering up in the same place living as a band for a bit more than a month, worked pretty well to me on ‘To Reap Heavens Apart.’ I don’t think I even checked on studios in Europe at all for ‘Doom Decimation.’ Plus I’m a bit tired of people calling Procession a ‘European’ band, being that the South American factor has been vital for it’s existence and development. An address means nothing, we ARE Procession from Chile.”

“This has been the easiest album to date,” continues Felipe, “from music to lyrics and concepts. It might be a deciding album, in a way that I can’t wait for a musical revelation like this one to hit us this way again. I mean the single ‘Lonely Are The Ways Of The Stranger’ was composed just a couple of months after recording ‘To Reap Heavens Apart’ and kind of decided which way this new album was gonna go…”

The track listing for the album is:

1. The Warning
2. When Doomsday Has Come
3. Lonely Are the Ways of the Stranger
4. Amidst the Bowels of Earth
5. Democide
6. All Descending Suns
7. As They Reached the Womb
8. One by One They Died

Ragnarok Announces New Bassist Rammr

Norwegian black metal crew Ragnarok will embark on Latin American tour with new bassist Rammr (Jordskipstyrann, Elvarhøi) on September 6th. Having spent the last year using session bass players for live appearances, Ragnarok just announced that Rammr has joined the band on a full-time, permanent basis.

“Originally it was our intention to use a session bassist going forward,” explains founder and frontman Jontho, who recently switched roles to become the band’s vocalist. “However, during the shows he did with us, Rammr’s dedication to his craft, and to Ragnarok itself, became very evident to everyone. He fits in perfectly with the rest of the band, which includes Bolverk on guitars and drummer Daniel Minge (Dauden), not only on stage, but also on a personal level. Most importantly, he understands our ideology, and what Ragnarok expects of its members, and after yet another incredible performance from him at Kaltenbach Open Air recently, I thought it was right to make him a full member.”

Ragnarok is set to hit the road in September for a thirteen-date tour of South America. Routing for the trek will be as follows:

SEP 08 River Rock – Indaial – Brasil
SEP 09 Guaru Metal Fest – Guarulhos – Brazil

Soulrot Streaming Full New Album “Nameless Hideous Manifestations”

In an endless quest to push and support current underground acts that perpetuate the odor of vintage death metal, on April 24th, Memento Mori is proud to present the debut full-length of Chile’s Soulrot, titled “Nameless Hideous Manifestations.” Today the full album has come online and can be heard below.

Hailing from the city of Valparaíso, Soulrot was formed by guitar player JL Olmos (Betrayed, ex-Micosis, ex-Gangrenous) circa 1993-1994 but was put to rest due to JL being involved in several other projects at the time.

It wasn’t until 2013 that JL joined bass player/vocalist JH Wilschrey (Sadistic Murder, Acero Letal) and they both resuscitated Soulrot, manifesting their unquestionable inclination towards the death metal of yore.

Social Arsonist Gearing Up For Spring Tour Dates

Chilean/Canadian thrash hybrid Social Arsonist will be hitting the road for dates across British Columbia and Alberta for the month of May, which will then be followed by a tour of Chile and a return to Canada to perform at the Loud As Hell festival in Drumheller, AB (full dates listed below).

Formed in Chile in 2009 by bassist Dario Zuniga and guitarist Manuel Morgado, the two musicians were unable to locate the perfect vocalist in their home country and turned the web. Finding Canadian singer Cayle Charlton, the duo worked with him for years via the internet, honing material before taking the ultimate step of relocating to Canada.

With a full line up in Vancouver, BC, the fiery crucible of Chilean thrash met the icy cauldron of Canadian metal to create an explosive storm built on a foundation of classic thrash and modern metal resulting in two releases: 2016 full-length “Duality of Perception” and 2014 debut EP “De-Evolution of Thy Self.”

Child Bite Gears Up For New U.S. Touring

Detroit noise rock unit Child Bite is readying for part two of a U.S. live assault supporting labelmates Superjoint.

The tour will make its way west from San Antonio, Texas on April 21st and run through May 14th in Dallas, Texas. Additional support will be provided by fellow Motor City thrashers Battlecross.

Prior to the journey, Child Bite will play the annual Berserker Fest this Saturday in Pontiac, Michigan. An event organized by Chile Bite frontman Shawn Knight, the performance will find the eclectic collective sharing the stage with the likes of Gwar, Weedeater, The Obsessed, Brain Tentacles and many more. Just four days later the band will then perform a one off show in Evansville, Illinois before joining up with Uncle Phil and co for another round of roadbound shenanigans.

Comments Knight: “We haven’t done a full west coast tour since last summer with Voivod, so of course we are excited to head that way next week with Superjoint and Battlecross. Lucky for Texas, Anselmo and co always have a collective boner for that state so we will be hitting them again on this trip. Where else… Colorado for three days! Many edibles will be consumed, so expect those shows to be extra psychedelic. The whole thing will be a real humdinger and a gosh darn hoot and a half, I promise you.”
