Anthrax Drummer Charlie Benate Takes Ice Bucket Challenge

On August 18th, when Anthrax headlined the Rock Al Parquet 2014 Festival in Bogota, Colombia, the band’s drummer Charlie Benate took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge – in front of more than 140,000 screaming fans. Footage can be seen below.

Mike Portnoy had challenged Charlie, and he accepted, in large part because Mike Wright, the father of his friend Brandon Wright, has had ALS for 10 years – so this was personal.

Bandmates Joey Belladonna and Frank Bello did the dousing, and afterwards Charlie nominated Philip H. Anselmo, Sepultura’s Andreas Kisser and music producer Jay Ruston, who produced Anthrax’s “Worship Music.” Anthrax’s live DVD, “Chile On Hell,” will be released on September 16th.

When The Deadbolt Breaks Shooting New Music Video In May

Ear One Productions and Lounge SevenZeroEight Photography are casting for the second video from When The Deadbolt Breaks’ new album “Drifting Toward The Edge of the Earth,” release in October through Ear One Productions.

This May the American psychedelic doom masters will be teaming up with videographer Charlie Winthal once again to begin shooting this video. Following the success of the band’s first video for “Sleeps in Burning Hills” (available below), which was also directed by Winthal, the band is gearing up to make the follow-up a true visual spectacle for the track “The Woods Are Full Of Killers.”

Singer/guitarist Aaron Lewis states: “The video idea coincides with a photo shoot I plan to do. It will be dark, and terrifying.”

Lounge SevenZeroEight Photography is seeking four female models to appear in the video and the accompanying photo shoot. The video is a horror themed jaunt, and will feature nudity. The video shoot is being scheduled for mid May, at a location in Connecticut. Interested parties can contact: LoungeSevenZeroEight@gmail.com. Please include a full body shot of yourself and any links to any modeling websites you have been featured on. Title the email “708 Video Shoot.”
